Chelsea Green is clearly one of the biggest attractions in WWE right now. The star has been a fan favorite since her debut in WWE and her return in the Triple H era has just multiplied the excitement. Since her return, not much has changed for Green. However, her introduction by Samantha Irwin changed drastically and people got obsessed with it very soon.
Irwin has a very unique way of introducing the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and millions around the world love it. However, for around a month in between, Irwin was seemingly told to introduce her naturally. However, it soon turned around and Green got her fancy introduction back.
During a recent interview with Steve Fall, Green addressed why WWE asked Samantha Irwin to stop the introduction. Green revealed that she wasn’t aware of the real reason why that happened but she believed the support from fans turned it all around.
“I don’t know fully where that came from but I do know Samantha was told not to say it now that only lasted I I mean maybe three weeks a month I mean my gut tells me that someone high up thought let’s not make a big scene over all of the entrances you know we’re just trying to announce them we’re trying to have the announcers play their role and things like that.”
“I think my gut tells me that social media maybe got in someone’s ear and people realized how much they love to hear the fans love to hear my announcement and honestly I was so sad to see it go and I felt like a little part of me on my entrance was lost so for me I did I did go and I did ask and and verbalize like hey I love my announcement I really don’t want it to go anywhere but of course at the end of the day I just have to let it be because I’m still I’m still going out there to the ring I’m still doing my job I’m still wrestling you know so I just kind of I said what I had to say.”
