Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championships to The Young Bucks in an intense ladder match on last night’s Dynamite. After the match, Christian Cage turned his back on Jungle Boy, smashing his face in between two chairs. After the show went off the air, Christian told Jungle Boy’s family how he felt.
In footage that aired on the international Fite stream of Dynamite, Cage confronted Jungle Boy’s mother and sister after decimating his former protege. Christian walked directly to where they were sitting in the first row. He then unleashed a profane series of insults about Jungle Boy.
“He’s gonna be eating birthday cake out of a straw tomorrow. He’s a piece of sh*t. You raised a piece of sh*t.”
The video was quickly spread all over social media as fans reacted to Christian’s heel turn. After he involved Jungle Boy’s family, the feud immediately became personal. AEW has teased a Christian turn for some time, and last night, they finally pulled the trigger.
Jungle Boy took the fall during the title change after taking a BTE Trigger from the Bucks. Christian had seen enough. After giving Jungle Boy the con-chair-to, he rubbed salt in the wound.
The segment instantly makes Christian Cage one of AEW’s biggest heels. After months of what many considered a lackluster run as the manager of Jurassic Express, it was a breath of fresh air. It will be fun to see what happens next.
