Recently released WWE Superstar Cora Jade, now competing under her former indie name Elayna Black, made her presence known at the Arizona Wrestling Federation’s All American Grand Slam event on June 28, 2025. Not only did she show up, but she left with gold around her waist.

Black defeated Brittni Brooks to capture the AWF Women’s Championship. The moment was quickly shared online, with photos and videos of Elayna holding the title circulating across social media.

Black looks right at home back on the indie scene, proudly holding the AWF Women’s title high above her head after the win.

The Arizona Wrestling Federation has developed a reputation for bringing in big names, and adding Elayna Black to their roster only builds on that legacy. Her first night with the company already delivered a title change — and judging by the crowd reaction, fans are ready to see more.

Elayna Black has been hitting the ground running ever since WWE released her this year. She’s already back in the indies and recently had a brutal deathmatch with Joey Janela and now she has shown off a nasty bruise and cut she got from the bout.

Black took to her Instagram story and uploaded a photo of herself after her deathmatch with Joey Janela at GCW Bang. She sent a warning to Janela as she said she had money to make with her face, showing off a very nasty bruise right above her eye as well as a cut, saying, “You will rue this day I got money to make w this face @thebagboyjoeyjanela”

During the GCW Bang event, Elayna Black faced off against Joey Janela in a very violent deathmatch, where Black took insane bumps. This included an avalanche brainbuster, a wooden door to the face and more. Black pulled off a springboard DDT, top rope destroyer and more but ultimately lost to Joey Janela.

Elayna Black also recently made it clear she wouldn’t go back to WWE if they called her right now since she wanted to explore other options and that’s exactly what she’s doing right now. Therefore, we’ll have to see how 2025 turns out for her as it’s clear Black is more than ready to take over the indie scene.
