Am I really advocating for Carmella to return to the title picture? I guess I am. Whodathunk, right?
One of Carmella’s best matches was against Becky Lynch. This was the match where Lynch earned her title opportunity at Summerslam. The actual match at Summerslam was also pretty good. While Carmella is far from the best wrestler in the world, when she is booked to her strengths, she’s pretty decent.
Now it will be interesting to see a rematch between the two, but this time, the roles are reversed. Carmella is no longer a cheating, conniving heel. She is now gutsy and proud. Lynch is no longer the plucky underdog. She is now the vicious predator.
While it may be hard to believe Carmella even stands a chance against Lynch, she did beat Charlotte Flair twice, so she’s got that going for her.
