We’re sticking with the World Cup tournament for now and it’s Raw’s turn. Seth Rollins makes his entrance in Saudi Arabia. Corey Graves says there is no way Seth Rollins in fully in this tournament tonight. Lashley and Rush come out second and Rush cuts a promo that garners zero reactions whatsoever.

WWE World Cup Tournament Round 1

Seth Rollins Vs. Bobby Lashley

Lashley shoves Rollins to the mat right off the bat. They lock-up and Rollins unleashes some kicks, then knocks Lashley from the ring. Rollins hits the ropes for a suicide dive but when he comes off of the ropes Lashley is right there and hits a huge one-handed spinebuster. Lashley takes control with a head and arm lock in the middle of the ring.
Lashley releases the hold and takes Rollins to the corner, where he beats on him, before whipping him to the opposing corner. Lashley applies a full nelson to the Kingslayer and ragdolls him. Rollins fights back but Lashley grabs him and hits a reverse Russian leg sweep – which marks the second time tonight Cole has incorrectly called a move an “inverted DDT”. Rollins escapes and clotheslines Lashley from the ring, then hits a suicide dive. Lashley stays on his feet, so Seth goes back into the ring and hits another, this time Bobby goes down. Rush isn’t talking during this match for some reason.

Back inside the ring, Seth goes up top but Lashley meets him there and looks for a superplex. Rollins punches him away, then jumps for a sunset flip powerbomb but Lashley holds the ropes. Instead, Rollins takes Lashley off and looks for the Buckle Bomb but Bobby slides down his back and shoulder tackles him from behind into the corner. Lashley then runs at Seth in the corner, who leapfrogs him and Lashley tackles the post. Lashley falls to his knees and Seth hits The Stomp for the win!

Winner: Seth Rollins

A solid win for Rollins but these matches are all fairly short and never really gotten out of 1st gear.
