Cody Rhodes surprised everybody when it was announced that he was leaving All Elite Wrestling. Cody and his wife Brandi Rhodes had become polarizing figures with AEW fans. Both were consistently receiving negative reactions from audiences around the country.
The full story behind Cody and Brandi’s AEW departure is still being told. The pair could not work out a deal with Tony Khan to stay in the end. Cody has already been in talks with WWE about a possible return.
AEW is already moving on from the Cody Rhodes era. Referee Aubrey Edwards tweeted a photo of the newly redesigned AEW production truck ahead of tonight’s Dynamite in Nashville. Cody is noticeably absent from the new artwork.

Jungle Boy, Sting, Christian, Orange Cassidy, and Thunder Rosa make up the stars of the new design. Cody Rhodes was once a major player in AEW. It is strange to think that he no longer has any association with the promotion.
Fans will get to see what an AEW without Cody Rhodes looks like for the first time tonight. Dynamite airs at 8 PM on TBS. We will see if Cody and Brandi are mentioned during the show. AEW appears to be ready to move forward without them.
