Dominik Mysterio Uses Incredibly Creative Underhanded Strategy To Retain IC Title At Saturday Night’s Main Event

Dominik Mysterio Uses Incredibly Creative Underhanded Strategy To Retain IC Title At Saturday Night's Main Event

Dominik Mysterio isn’t afraid of pulling out all the stops to win and retain his title. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, he proved that there are no ends to his lying, cheating, and stealing.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event went down at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dominik Mysterio didn’t see a triple threat match coming for his IC Title, but that is what was on the card.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Dominik Mysterio defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a triple threat match against Rusev and Penta.

This match went on third of the night, right after Jade Cargill won the WWE Women’s Title from Tiffany Stratton. Fans were ready for the triple threat match, and Dominik Mysterio was up to his old tricks.

Penta and Rusev both showed up in Salt Lake City, sick and tired of Dominik Mysterio as IC Champion. That being said, they each wanted to take the title home with them after Saturday Night’s Main Event, so any teamwork between the two was understandably limited.

Rusev beat Dominik around the ring for a bit, but then Penta nailed a dive on him. To that, Mysterio hit his own suicide dive on the masked luchador. This match continued with Rusev beating Dom a bit more, and Rusev even took a chance to kiss the IC Title and say, “I’m coming for you.”

Dom was caught doing a 6-1-9 by Rusev, and he locked in the Accolade. Then Penta broke that up with a kick to the back of Rusev’s head. Penta and Rusev kept going for a bit after that, as Dom took a nap on the outside.

Dom came back in, handed Rusev the chair and then faked an injury, so the referee would DQ him. That is when the referee told him that there is no DQ, so Rusev used the chair on Dom. Penta got involved and rallied for a very close near fall from Rusev after he took Dom out with a Mexican Destroyer.

Penta ducked under a Machka kick and hit hit pumphandle slam for a near fall of his own. Penta went for a top rope move, but Rusev nailed him with a Machka kick and an Accolade. The bell started to ring, and then Rusev let go, but it was reveal that Dom had the hammer in his hand. Rusev went after Dom in the timekeeper’s area, but Mysterio turned things around and sent Rusev into the ring steps.

Penta got his hands on the bell hammer, and then he hit Rusev with it. Dom threw Penta out of the ring and hit his frog splash for the win to retain his title once again.

This is a very interesting title picture to watch. After all, WWE has reportedly considered one more title run for John Cena with that championship. It may result in a title run that stretches all the way to his last match in a WWE ring.

What’s your take on how the WWE IC Title was booked in Salt Lake City? Do you believe that the title will go to John Cena one last time? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Dominik Mysterio Gets Busted Open by Coin Toss Tradition After Mega Title Defense at AAA Heroes Inmortales

Dominik Mysterio Gets Busted Open by Coin Toss Tradition After Mega Title Defense at AAA Heroes Inmortales

Dominik Mysterio walked out of AAA Héroes Inmortales 2025 still the AAA Mega Champion—but not without leaving some blood in the ring.

After a hard-fought main event win over Dragon Lee, the champ was struck in the face by a coin thrown from the crowd, a long-standing Mexican tradition used to honor great matches. That tradition left Dom with a busted eyebrow and a whole lot to say.

Fans in Mexico have long thrown coins into the ring to show respect, but Dominik wasn’t impressed with the gesture. His eyebrow was visibly split open after the match, and he made sure to call out the fans while cutting a promo backstage.

“What did I tell you? I’m still your Mega Champion. And yeah, I know it’s a Mexican fan tradition to throw coins, but look, you idiots — I’m not like you. I don’t need your money. If you’re going to throw something, make it bills. Because the King of Wrestlers has just arrived. See you on November 22, dogs.”

Despite having his hidden weapon removed mid-match, Dominik still managed to cheat his way to victory, using his boot to strike Dragon Lee while the referee was distracted. The crowd may have shown their appreciation the traditional way, but Mysterio made it clear he doesn’t want their coins—or their respect.

Now with a fresh target on his head and real heat from the fans, Dominik Mysterio will team with El Grande Americano to take on Dragon Lee and El Hijo del Vikingo in a tag match on November 22 in Mexico City.

Was Dominik out of line for disrespecting a cultural tradition, or was he just being true to his heel persona? Drop your take in the comments below.

Dominik Mysterio Defeats Rusev in Controversial Finish During October 20 WWE RAW

Dominik Mysterio Defeats Rusev in Controversial Finish During October 20 WWE RAW

Few WWE Superstars have been as dirty as Dominik Mysterio, but then again, there has never been anyone to proclaim themselves as “dirty” like him. He proved that, yet again, this week as Rey Mysterio’s son retained his title on RAW.

WWE Raw went down on October 20, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The night included a couple of title matches as well.

Rusev has been trying his best to get his footing in WWE since his return. During RAW this week, the Bulgarian Brute had a chance to get his hands on Dominik Mysterio and the IC Title.

This was an interesting title match to watch, especially considering the fact that WWE is toying with the idea of giving John Cena a run with that belt.

This match went down right after Dominik Mysterio’s Judgment Day brothers lost their Tag Team Titles to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. As many would expect, Rusev took an early advantage as he beat Dom around the ring.

This match stretched through a commercial break, and then Penta showed up at ringside to distract Dominik Mysterio. That prevented Dom from escaping. Then Penta got in Rusev’s face, and the Bulgarian Brute knocked him out. They returned to the ring and Rusev stopped Dom from hitting a 6-1-9 and using the timekeeper’s hammer. The referee was distracted by the hammer and Dom nailed a lowblow, a 6-1-9 and a frog splash to retain the title once again.

Dominik Mysterio Cheats In Expert Fashion To Retain IC Title On 10/13 WWE RAW

Dominik Mysterio Cheats In Expert Fashion To Retain IC Title On 10/13 WWE RAW

Dominik Mysterio’s dirty tricks have no end. He flew into Perth with two championship, as WWE IC Champion and AAA Mega Champion. Then he put his WWE title on the line on RAW, and he pulled out all the stops to retain it.

The October 13 episode of WWE RAW went down at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. This was the fallout after Crown Jewel, and they had a lot on the table.

Dominik Mysterio has been a very dirty IC Champion so far. He has tried his best to avoid getting in the ring with Pena, but this week saw the two clash for that title.

Before this match went down, Rusev approached Penta backstage. He told Penta that the only reason this match is going down is that Adam Pearce approved it with Rusev. That being said, The Bulgarian Brute made it clear that he is next in line for an Intercontinental Title shot.

Penta got started with a fire under him. They went outside where Dominik Mysterio took a backdrop onto the announce table before they cut to commercial break. By the time we got back from commercial, they were in the ring and then Dom took control of the match with a few moves and a suicide dive to the outside. Then Dom threw Penta all over the ringside area before they went to another commercial break.

When RAW returned from the second commercial break of this match, Penta was getting a second wind underneath him. Fans chanted “This Is Awesome” as they continued and Penta tried to hit Eddie Guerrero’s 3 Amigos, but Dom blocked the third suplex and nailed it himself. Then Penta set himself up for the 6-1-9 and he dodged it to continue his offense.

Eventually, Rusev made his way down to the ring, but Penta hit him with a dive over the top rope. Dominik Mysterio went to get his title belts and the timekeeper’s hammer. The referee threw the belt away, but then Dom nailed Penta with the hammer before hitting a 6-1-9 and a splash to win the match and retain the title.

What’s your take on Penta’s booking in WWE? Do you believe that he is on his path to greatness in the company? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Dominik Mysterio Attempts to Have Child Arrested After Incident at WWE Show

Dominik Mysterio Attempts to Have Child Arrested After Incident at WWE Show

Dominik Mysterio isn’t just keeping heat in the ring—he’s carrying it right through the crowd barricades.

After a WWE RAW in Las Vegas on September 29, 2025, Mysterio kept his heel persona intact during a hilarious interaction with a young fan wearing a John Cena shirt, and the moment was caught on TikTok.

The video shows Dominik jokingly calling over security to “arrest” the kid, all while delivering an in-character “life lesson” about showing proper respect to Dirty Dom. With the kid standing nearby in Cena merch, Mysterio made it clear that kind of gear wouldn’t fly if he wanted a photo.

“Hey, security! You gotta arrest ’em. You’re a kid, so here’s a life lesson. Are you ready? You’re wearing a John Cena shirt — next time you come ask Dirty Dom for a picture, make sure you’re wearing a Dirty Dom shirt, alright?”

The fan still asked for a picture, and Mysterio agreed—but not before forcing the kid to cover up the Cena logo with his own hat.

Kid: “Can I please take a picture?”

Dominik: “What did you learn for the next time you see me?”

Kid: “Wear a Dom shirt.”

Dominik: “Very good. Real quick, cover your Cena shirt though — you gotta cover it. Take the hat off and cover the shirt. There you go.”

Even behind the steel gate, Mysterio didn’t let up—proving once again why he’s one of WWE’s most committed heels. These unscripted moments keep reinforcing his spot as a true heat magnet, even when he’s not throwing punches.

Dominik Mysterio Retains IC Title In Very Dirty Fashion During 9/29 WWE RAW

There’s no limit to how low Dominik Mysterio will go to keep his title.

The September 29 episode of WWE RAW included a lot of big moments at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. This included a big IC Title match that some fans have been looking forward to.

Rusev has been trying his best to re-establish himself in WWE since his return. This week on RAW, he had a chance to face Dominik Mysterio for his IC Title. Of course, Dominik would still walk out of the match as AAA Mega Champion, no matter what.

This match was the first of the night, and it also received a big fight feel thanks to Alicia Taylor’s ring introductions. After they got started, the two wrestled through a commercial break.

When we got back to the action, Dominik Mysterio had control of the match, and Rusev wasn’t giving up the pinfall easily. Mysterio nailed a 6-1-9, and then he climbed up, but missed the frog splash. Then Rusev hyped himself up and nailed a Machka Kick for a close near fall.

Dirty Dom had enough of the match, and he rolled out of the ring to grab his titles. Rusev went back to get him, but then Dom did the bit where he acted like Rusev hit him with a title when the referee wasn’t looking. Then Dom nailed a mule kick to Rusev’s groin before getting a roll-up pin win.

Dominik Mysterio Wins AAA Mega Championship At Worlds Collide

Dominik Mysterio Wins AAA Mega Championship At Worlds Collide

Dirty Dom is a double champion.

WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2025 was quite a show in Las Vegas. That being said, one match needed to be switched up a bit. The Cox Pavilion at the Thomas & Mack Center in the Las Vegas was packed with fans, but they didn’t get to see Xavier Woods wrestle.

Dirty Dominik Mysterio and Vikingo closed out the show tonight, and they had quite a battle for the AAA Mega Championship.

This match had fans chanting loudly for Dominik Mysterio, as some wanted to see the WWE IC Champion leave Las Vegas with a second title.

There were a ton of near falls in this match, as both competitors gave each other everything they had. They survived several signature moves, including diving knees, powerbombs, dives, and plenty of stiff strikes.

Judgment Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh came down to help, but it backfired on Dominik Mysterio. They gave Dom a loaded mask, but then Vikingo just kicked him in the head. Dragon Lee came down next, and then Rey Mysterio entered the situation with a steel chair in hand. After all, Dominik Mysterio said that Rey would have to put the title on him if he won it.

The match continued in the ring, where Vikingo put Dominik in position to hit a 630 as fans booed him. Then El Grande Americano showed up to stop the referee from counting to three. Then Dirty Dom nailed a 6-1-9 and a splash, but there was no referee to make the count in time. The match kept going with Vikingo nailing a poisonrana, and then he tried to pull El Grande Americano’s mask off, but he slipped a metal plate to Dom, and he loaded the mask to nail a headbutt and a splash to win the match and become AAA Mega Champion. After the match, Rey Mysterio came in to put the title on his son, and this was quite a dramatic moment where the younger Mysterio demanded that his father put the title around his waist.

We will have to see what WWE and AAA are able to put together next. At this rate, they are certainly proving that whatever they are able to collaborate on is worth watching.
