Velveteen Dream might have picked up the victory against EC3 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV but his future at this point looks very uncertain.

As reported earlier, Velveteen Dream came out at NXT TakeOver donning a pair of pants with “Call Me Up Vince” written on its rear side. Triple H said that it wasn’t really for Vince McMahon but for one of the Dreams’ friends with the same first name.

However, Triple H also emphasized that if the message was indeed for McMahon then Velveteen Dream’s fate will be up in the air.

Brad Shepard reports on Twitter that a few people backstage were not at all happy with Dream’s pants. No word on who these people are but this doesn’t sound good for the Velveteen Dream’s future.
