It wouldn’t be a John Cena main event without a little chaos—and it turns out the WWE locker room found plenty to laugh about when referee Charles Robinson got caught in the crossfire at Night of Champions.

During the June 28 Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cena and CM Punk, Seth Rollins tried to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. But before Rollins could make it official, Cena made sure that wasn’t happening—by plowing straight through Charles Robinson.

As Rollins called for a referee, Robinson sprinted down the ramp, only to get absolutely leveled by Cena with a brutal tackle. The collision left Robinson down for the count, blocking the cash-in and sending the crowd in Riyadh into a frenzy.

While fans wondered how “Little Naitch” was feeling after the hit, Robinson later took to Twitter with a quick update, simply posting: “I am alive.”

But behind the scenes, it seems the mood was a lot less dramatic. According to Fightful Select, Robinson was fine after the bump—and his unexpected tumble sparked plenty of laughter backstage. The report noted:

“Charles Robinson was said to be okay after the bump he took at Night of Champions. The spot was met with huge laughter from those backstage.”

At the end of the day, Charles Robinson proved once again why he’s one of the toughest—and most respected—veterans in the game. Whether you’re dodging superstars or eating a shoulder from John Cena, it comes with the territory. One thing’s for sure: if you’re reffing a Cena main event, you better keep your head on a swivel.
