WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray weighed in on Kyle Fletcher’s head-shaving moment during the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, sharing his thoughts on the storyline development during Busted Open After Dark. The segment, which has sparked a lot of buzz, saw Fletcher shedding his locks in the ring, and Bully Ray had plenty to say about the execution.

Bully Ray admitted that while he liked the moment, he felt it could have gone further. “I wish he would’ve finished the job or Callis would’ve finished the job. I would’ve loved that before and after moment in the ring.”

The idea of a full transformation, with Don Callis taking charge, would have elevated the segment into something more impactful in Bully Ray’s eyes, potentially giving fans that jaw-dropping “before and after” effect.

Bully Ray also dissected the deeper meaning behind Fletcher’s actions, explaining that the young wrestler is looking to carve his own path. “He’s trying to convince himself; he’s trying to convince everybody else that he is nothing like Will Ospreay — wants to separate himself as much as possible, and I hope they hate you for you and your words and actions moving forward, and not necessarily the residual heat that you’re getting off of Don Callis.”

As Fletcher continues his journey in AEW, Bully Ray hopes that Fletcher earns heat for his own words and actions going forward, rather than simply riding the wave of Don Callis’ residual heat. It’s clear that this is a pivotal moment for Fletcher as he works to step out of Ospreay’s shadow and create his own legacy.
