AEW brought an important episode of Dynamite for their January 22 episode in Knoxville. Fans in the Knoxville Coliseum also witnessed a segment that could go on to change the course of pro wrestling in AEW.
Hangman Page won a very quick match against an enhancement talent. That was not the end of his time on the show at all.
Christopher Daniels came out wearing a neckbrace and a bandage on his head. Hangman Page made his way right up to the Fallen Angel, but Daniels had a bad message to deliver.
Christopher Daniels revealed that after his loss in that brutal Texas Deathmatch to Hangman Page, his doctors gave him a prognosis that no pro wrestler wants to hear. Daniels revealed that his doctor advised against him ever wrestling again.
Hangman Page didn’t seem happy about that, and he left in a huff. Then they cut to commercial break without any follow up. We will have to see where this leads.
On top of being an in-ring performer, Christopher Daniels also held a backstage role in AEW. It will be interesting to see what the next steps are in this story, but it appears that Daniels might have wrestled his last match.
