Elias is considered to be a fan favorite by some and a nuisance by others, but either way, he’s been able to build some real longevity for himself on WWE television.
That kind of achievement doesn’t come without struggles, though, with The Drifter having to scratch and claw his way to the top of the mountain.
During a recent interview with Lilian Garcia, Elias revealed a fascinating piece of advice he received from none other than Shawn Michaels after he wasn’t signed by the company for the third time.
“He said ‘just know, some of you guys are going to make it, some of you won’t, but just remember sometimes no means not yet’. And I just – that stuck with me big time.”
