Karrion Kross is still talking about how things ended with WWE, and now he’s straight-up accusing the company of working him during his final run.
Despite being featured on television and even wrestling Sami Zayn at SummerSlam, Kross has made it clear for months that things weren’t what they seemed behind the scenes. In his One Big Work documentary, he once again revisited his WWE departure—this time framing it as a con that left him holding the bag.
“‘Is this all a big work?’ Is that what you’re asking me, is this a work? Is this a big elaborate, intricate work where I come back and say ‘surprise’? The answer to that question is, in a sense, yes, this was all one big work. The worst part about it, though, is that it’s not the work everybody thought it was because I was the one getting worked.”
Fans initially believed the vague interviews and cryptic contract talk were part of a long-term story. But according to Kross, WWE handed him a contract renewal just 24 hours before his deal expired—essentially daring him to take it or leave it.
The move made it clear he wasn’t in WWE’s long-term plans, even if he was still on TV. And if you ask him, the whole situation was never under his control.
Kross has been airing out these frustrations for months, but this latest version shows just how bitter he still is about how things ended. Whether you call it venting or damage control, he clearly feels WWE played him.
