Kevin Owens Shows Encouraging Recovery Progress in New Training Video After Neck Surgery

Kevin Owens just sent a strong message about his recovery—and he didn’t need to say a single word.

The former Universal Champion took to Twitter and dropped a video of himself training at the WWE Performance Center, offering fans their first real look at his progress since undergoing neck surgery earlier this year.

In the clip, Owens is seen performing step-based cardio exercises, looking focused and physically solid. While he hasn’t been active in the ring, this training footage is the clearest indication yet that he’s pushing forward in his recovery.

This marks the first time Owens has shown himself working out since the surgery, and fans immediately responded with support. With no official timeline for his return, the video provides much-needed optimism for those hoping to see him compete again.

Owens previously noted that he’s aiming for a return sometime next year, but there are no guarantees. Still, with this update, that hope feels more realistic than ever.

Owens may still be a long way from stepping back into the ring—but now fans know he’s putting in the work to get there.

Kevin Owens is embracing a different side of himself while recovering from neck surgery—and fans are getting a rare glimpse into his life outside the ring.

The former Universal Champion was recently photographed by his wife, Karina, during a date night, and the image revealed a striking change in his appearance. Gone is the dark, rugged look WWE fans are used to seeing. Instead, Owens was seen with a head of white hair and a matching salt-and-pepper beard, giving him a more seasoned, relaxed vibe.

The photo was shared via Karina’s Instagram story, showing Owens in full dad mode—grizzled, calm, and clearly enjoying his time off.

Owens hasn’t been seen on WWE television since April, following his neck surgery earlier this year. The downtime has given him a chance to recover physically and reconnect with family, something he clearly values. While there’s been hope of him returning to the ring sometime next year, nothing is set in stone just yet.

His transformation seems to reflect a man who’s more at peace with himself and where he is in life. The grind of being “The Prizefighter” has taken its toll over the years, and this new chapter may be one of well-earned rest.

Whether Kevin Owens steps back between the ropes in 2026 or takes more time to heal, fans are simply happy to see him doing well—and rocking a whole new vibe.

Kevin Owens Dresses Up as John Cena at Magic Kingdom for Halloween

Kevin Owens Dresses Up as John Cena at Magic Kingdom for Halloween

Kevin Owens has been on the road to recovery after undergoing neck surgery earlier this year. In the meantime, he’s been spending more time with his family and now it seems he dressed up as John Cena as part of the Halloween season at Magic Kingdom.

Kevin Owens’ wife took to her Instagram and uploaded several photos of Kevin Owens at Magic Kingdom. His entire family was cosplaying as different characters but Owens stole the show as he dressed up as John Cena, complete with Cena’s cap, t-shirt and even shoes. Owens even ended up getting free cake at Starbucks because of his attire.

Owens’ daughter dressed up as Art the Clown from Terrifier, while his wife was a pirate and his son dressed up as a banana. So it was clear his entire family was having the time of their lives at the Disney event.

The Prizefighter has also made it clear he hopes to make his in-ring return next year, though nothing is guaranteed yet. Nonetheless, Kevin Owens’ John Cena cosplay shows that even while recovering, he’s still finding ways to entertain fans. His mix of humor and focus on family during his time off reminds everyone why he remains one of WWE’s most loved and relatable stars. So we’ll just have to see if he’ll make a full recovery by next year.

Kevin Owens Makes Surprise Appearance for Indie Promotion Amid Injury Hiatus

Kevin Owens Makes Surprise Appearance for Indie Promotion Amid Injury Hiatus

Kevin Owens has been on the road to recovery after undergoing neck surgery earlier this year. In the meantime, Owens makes sure to check out other wrestling promotions and unsurprisingly, he made an appearance for an indie promotion recently.

Green Mountain Wrestling took to their Twitter account and uploaded a video featuring Kevin Owens, who introduced himself by his real name, Kevin Steen. Owens explained that he wished he could be at the show in Vermont to personally present the championship belt to the promotion’s first-ever titleholder.

Owens added that he has been following Green Mountain Wrestling for a while and finds it exciting to watch the promotion grow. Owens mentioned that if he had been there, he would have loved to hand over the belt himself, even pointing out that one of the side plates on the title features a move connected to him. Since he couldn’t attend in person, he planned to follow the results online and encouraged fans at the event to enjoy the show.

Owens wished all the competitors luck and told them to give their best effort, stating how eager he is to see who becomes champion. He ended by saying he hopes to attend a GMW show soon, joking that he had talked long enough and that the crowd was ready to watch wrestlers punch each other in the face.

“Hello everyone, my name is Kevin Steen. You might know me from some wrestling shows I’ve been on or matches I’ve had. But tonight isn’t about me. Tonight is about crowning the very first champion in Green Mountain Wrestling history, which makes this a huge show. I wish I could be there in person, because I’ve been keeping up with Green Mountain Wrestling for a while now and watching it grow has been really exciting.

If I were there tonight, I’d be able to award the title to the first champion myself. And if you look closely at the title belt, you might notice a certain move on one of the side plates that has something to do with me. It would have been an honor to do that, but I’m not there—I’m at home.

So I won’t be able to watch the show live, but I’ll read the results online. To everyone watching live tonight, enjoy the show. Good luck to everyone competing for that title. Give it your all, and I’m very excited to see who comes out as champion.

Hopefully, I’ll make it to a show soon and be there in person. Until then, everyone have a blast. I’ve been talking forever—these people just want to see a bunch of guys punch each other in the face. So get my face off the screen and start the show already, Jesus.”

The Prizefighter has also made it clear he hopes to make his in-ring return next year, though nothing is guaranteed yet. Nonetheless, Kevin Owens’ message shows that even when he isn’t wrestling, he still supports the business. Using his old name, Kevin Steen, also gave longtime fans a nice bit of nostalgia to enjoy, and that was just the icing on the cake for many people.

Kevin Owens has spoken—and he wants fans to calm down.

Owens quickly took to Twitter to address the chatter, using his trademark sense of humor to shut the rumors down.

“Guys, stop panicking! I’m still fat! Everyone needs to calm down.”

The post instantly gained traction, with fans appreciating Owens’ blunt and hilarious honesty. The image may have had people thinking a new-look KO was returning to WWE soon, but it turns out the camera may have just caught a flattering angle.

This comes just weeks after Owens underwent neck fusion surgery—an operation that has cast some uncertainty over his in-ring future. While he hasn’t confirmed a timetable for a return, KO has been open about not knowing if he’ll ever wrestle again. Still, fans were relieved to see he’s staying true to himself through it all.

With no set return date and a sense of humor still intact, Kevin Owens continues to be one of wrestling’s most genuine personalities—even when sidelined.
