Kofi Kingston worked incredibly hard to earn himself a place at the top of WWE. Kingston’s pairing with Xavier Woods and Big E helped his tag team career in a major way as well. Tonight, the New Day member broke an all-time WWE record.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Pretty Deadly to win the NXT Tag Team Championship at the recently-concluded NXT Deadline premium live event. With the win, Kingston now has the most tag team title reigns in WWE history.

Saturday’s huge win made Kofi Kingston a record-setting 15-time tag team champion in WWE. The New Day member surpassed Booker T’s record of 14 tag team title wins in WCW and WWE.

Kofi Kingston has won tag titles alongside Evan Bourne, R-Truth, CM Punk, Xavier Woods, and Big E. It remains to be seen if Shawn Michaels will book New Day to hold the NXT tag team titles for the foreseeable future.
