Mina Shirakawa is officially U.S. bound, leaving behind her life in Japan to begin her new journey under the AEW/ROH banner.
Shirakawa took to social media to post a photo of herself standing in an empty room, reflecting on her past and expressing optimism about her upcoming move.
Shirakawa’s farewell match took place on April 2 at STARDOM’s event in Korakuen Hall, where she faced longtime rival Maika in an emotional send-off. The match ended with Maika hitting Shirakawa with a Michinoku Driver II, officially closing the chapter on Shirakawa’s five-year run in STARDOM.
On April 8, Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer confirmed Shirakawa’s AEW signing, stating, “She’s moving back to the United States. She’s full-time with AEW and I don’t know when she’ll start back. I don’t know, but it should be whenever Tony gets to start using her. You know what I mean, who knows when that will be, but she’s full-time. She’s full-time AEW now.”
Mariah May also chimed in on Shirakawa’s farewell post, responding that she would be waiting for her in AEW.
