Joe Hendry made a shock appearance at WrestleMania 41—but it didn’t exactly end in a fairytale win.

Serving as the mystery opponent for Randy Orton, Hendry was quickly finished off, with Orton putting the TNA World Champion down in just over three minutes. To drive the point home, Orton nailed Hendry with a second RKO after the match and even mocked Hendry’s signature pose, soaking in the moment at Hendry’s expense.

Despite the quick loss, Hendry didn’t leave empty-handed. WWE shared a post-match conversation between Hendry and Orton backstage, where Orton gave the TNA star some serious respect. “You showed up for me and you showed up for the fans,” Orton told him. “That meant a lot to me.”

While Hendry’s WrestleMania moment didn’t end with his hand raised, getting that nod of respect from a legend like Randy Orton made the night a win in a different way.
