Dave Meltzer reported in the latest installment of the Wrestling Observer Radio that the original plans for the Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman match taking place at No Mercy was to have Lesnar retain the WWE Universal Championship title. Heyman even indicated in his promo from last night’s RAW that Lesnar is the underdog heading into next week’s pay-per-view.
As reported earlier, Lesnar is not scheduled for any RAW events after this week, including the post-No Mercy pay-per-view. However, Strowman is scheduled to appear next week on RAW.
