Wes Lee won the NXT North American Title at Halloween Havoc, and he had quite a reception on NXT this week. He was also in store for a big surprise.
Grayson Waller interrupted Wes Lee’s emotional promo, one where he thanked everyone for standing behind him. Then R-Truth came out to pop the crowd in a huge way.
R-Truth was confused, because he welcomed everyone to Halloween Havoc. Grayson Waller finally had to burst Truth’s bubble by saying the event went down three days ago.
R-Truth didn’t believe Grayson Waller, but Wes Lee finally told Truth that he actually missed the event. This resulted in a pretty entertaining back-and-forth with Grayson Waller and R-Truth about how Apollo Crews beat him in a casket match.
In the end, R-Truth won his war of words against Grayson Waller, and he celebrated the segment with Wes Lee. This was quite a surprise and just the latest of many main roster cameos in NXT.
