In a series of segments, Tony D’Angelo, still battered from his match earlier in the night, made his way to the safe house. But instead of finding refuge, he found betrayal. Stacks ambushed Tony D., attacking him and sending a clear message that their partnership is over.
“I’m putting an end to the Don of NXT at Battleground,” Stacks declared, making it clear that their feud will culminate in a showdown at Battleground on May 25 in Tampa.
For months, Tony D’Angelo and Stacks have been a force to be reckoned with in NXT, but now it looks like their alliance has completely fallen apart — and the consequences will be settled in the ring.
