Hit Row was called up to the WWE main roster on Friday Night Smackdown back in 2021. They had a worthwhile run in NXT, albeit a short one. Top Dolla also made an interesting claim recently.

In the end, all members of Hit Row were released last year. Many fans felt they never lived up to their potential and were disappointed by what the company did in the end.

While speaking on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Top Dolla revealed that Xavier Woods had requested to work with Hit Row. Dolla claimed that while WWE initially agreed, they quickly nixed the idea of New Day vs Hit Row for some reason.

“We’re like, ‘Hell yeah, we’re down to work with The New Day.’ Why wouldn’t we wanna be working with The New Day, right? The week after that it was like, ‘All right, you guys are gonna do backstage in front of the audience segment with Sami Zayn.

WWE also had other plans for Hit Row on the main roster. We’ll have to see if the group will ever return to WWE somewhere down the line, as unlikely as it may seem right now.
