Former WWE star Virgil recently took to Instagram to show love and support to Jeff Hardy who was released by the company Thursday (Dec. 9). Hardy’s release came days after he walked out mid match at a WWE house show.

“Much love to Jeff. He is one of the realest dudes,” Virgil said. He continued, “People don’t have a fucking clue what we have to do to get through the day.” He went on to say that Hardy is a class act.

Earlier in the day, Sean Sapp of Fightful reported that WWE had released Hardy from his contractual obligations. Of course, he’d have to abide by his 90-day non-compete clause before signing elsewhere.

The former WWE champion was recently part of tag match with Drew McIntyre at a house show, but walked out of the arena after tagging his partner. Fans in attendance speculated something was not right with Hardy.

As of this writing, both parties have not revealed the reason for the release. It should be noted that the 44-year-0ld has a documented history of issues with substance abuse.
