Jacob Fatu Returns For New Feud During 9/26 WWE SmackDown - Page 12

Jacob Fatu Returns For New Feud During 9/26 WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre has some explaining to do with his walking boot, and Jacob Fatu is down to help out.

The September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. This included Drew McIntyre coming out to the ring in a walking boot to sell his Wrestlepalooza injury and gripe about how things went down.

Drew McIntyre pointed out how he made his debut at TakeOver several years ago in that same venue. He also won the WWE Title, but he wasn’t able to walk out this week as the new Undisputed World Champion.

McIntyre rocked his walking boot as he complained about how things turned out at Wrestlepalooza. He felt screwed out of the WWE Championship, and he asked whether the refs work for WWE or Cody Rhodes. Although McIntyre said he doesn’t blame the referee, he did call out some greater corruption.

At that point, WWE SmackDown Nick Aldis came out to address Drew McIntyre. He told McIntyre that you win some, and you lose some in pro wrestling, as sometimes you’re the hammer and sometimes you’re the nail.

Then Aldis asked Drew McIntyre about his walking boot, because he was cleared by WWE’s medical team. He didn’t know why he had a walking boot on, but Drew didn’t want to hear it, because he had his own medical team. Aldis left at that point, as he said that McIntyre can enjoy the rest of his night, because he’s done with him.

As Drew McIntyre refused to leave the ring, Jacob Fatu’s music hit. Fatu didn’t want to hear anything from McIntyre, as he told him to shut up and “stop bitching!” He said that McIntyre comes out every week to cry and complain about the things he does wrong. Then Jacob Fatu threatened to put his “peg leg ass down.”

Drew McIntyre grabbed the microphone and got in Jacob’s face, but then Fatu just snatched the microphone right back to remind him that he’s “all gas and no brakes,” just as McIntyre landed a Glasgow Kiss, but Jacob Fatu connected with a superkick and the walking boot flew off McIntyre’s foot.

The segment ended with Jacob Fatu walking off and McIntyre was left laying out on the mat. Only time will tell what is next for the Scottish Psychopath at this point.

New #1 Contenders For Wyatt Sicks Tag Team Titles Determined During 9/26 WWE SmackDown

New #1 Contenders For Wyatt Sicks Tag Team Titles Determined During 9/26 WWE SmackDown

The Wyatt Sicks have new challengers.

The September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. We saw a new #1 contender tag team crowned this week as well.

The Wyatt Sicks are very strong WWE Tag Team Champions. This week on SmackDown, two teams fought for the chance to face the family built out of Bray Wyatt’s vision, a task that many would see as a pending massacre, but the Street Profits and Melo Don’t Miz were ready.

This #1 contender tag team match was the first contest of the night on SmackDown this week. Naturally, fans were more than ready to see this action, and Orlando proved why they have such passionate fans.

These two teams battled through a commercial break, and neither side wanted to give anything to their opponents. While Melo Don’t Miz are the newer team, The Miz’s veteran experience certainly gave them an X-Factor. The Street Profits tried to get a tag, but Hayes nailed a First 48 on Ford. Then he climbed up and The Miz stole the tag. This didn’t set right with Hayes, and it helped Ford get the hot tag to Angelo Dawkins.

In the end, Montez Ford nailed a From The Heavens on The Miz and got the win. Carmelo Hayes thought about breaking up the pinfall, but then he stopped halfway through. This will put the Street Profits against the Wyatt Sicks for the blue brand’s tag titles. We will have to see when that match happens, as Michael Cole said it will take place “down the line.”

Cody Rhodes & Paul Heyman Have Tense Confrontation Over Brock Lesnar During 9/26 WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes & Paul Heyman Have Tense Confrontation Over Brock Lesnar During 9/26 WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown started off with a bang this week.

The September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. The American Nightmare was on hand, and that was quite an attraction as always.

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins will battle at Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Men’s Title. The event will go down on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. That being said, Cody Rhodes may want a piece of Brock Lesnar as well.

Paul Heyman opened up WWE SmackDown this week with a bit of a promo. Then he mentioned the rumors concerning Brock Lesnar before Cody Rhodes’ music hit and he came out.

Cody Rhodes started in on Paul Heyman, and he asked him whether he’s taking to the Advocate, the Wise Man or the Oracle. Then Heyman said he’s talking to The GOAT. He also said that when Brock Lesnar is in WWE, then everyone is in danger. Suddenly, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker surrounded the ring as Heyman said that Lesnar isn’t there tonight, but Rhodes is still in danger.

Cody Rhodes shot on Breakker as he said that at his age, he would have killed to be a Paul Heyman guy. Then Cody Rhodes said that Breakker isn’t the future guy, and that upset the second generation Steiner. He ripped off his shirt, and then Cody took off his jacket. They prepared to fight, and then Rhodes started teeing off on both of them. This did not end well as the Vision fought him in double team fashion. As Cody lost to the numbers game, Randy Orton’s music hit and the Apex Predator came out for the save.

We will keep a close eye on Cody Rhodes, as always, Anything he does is generally newsworthy, and as Undisputed WWE World Champion, The American Nightmare is still telling quite a story.

What’s your take on Cody Rhodes versus Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel? Do you believe that he will win the big title in Australia? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Cody Rhodes Retains WWE Undisputed World Title At Wrestlepalooza

Cody Rhodes Retains WWE Undisputed World Title At Wrestlepalooza

The American Nightmare is still WWE’s top name.

WWE Wrestlepalooza went down at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was a historic show, and it also included a big title match.

Cody Rhodes recently returned to the fold after filming Street Fighter. He immediately got involved with Drew McIntyre, which set up an Undisputed World Title match in Indianapolis.

This match went down as the final spot on the card, right after it was announced that Stephanie McMahon will be the first inductee in the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. This match also received an incredible big fight feel thanks to Alicia Taylor’s ring introductions.

This match had fans going in a big way, but Cody Rhodes was the overwhelming favorite. They felt each other out, and eventually ended up brawling at ringside.

The match continued as the two had a slugfest in the ring. Cody got fans behind him and nailed a powerslam as he eyed victory in this match. He nailed a Disaster Kick, but didn’t get the pin. He went for a Cody Cutter and then a Crossroads, but McIntyre got out of that. McIntyre hit a Glasgow Kiss as Cody sat on the top rope, and he climbed up to the top rope to bite him before hitting a White Noise from the top for a near fall.

Cody reversed a Claymore Kick into a powerbomb, and then he missed another Claymore Kick. Cody got on a figure four after that, and then McIntyre got up and ripped the turnbuckle off. McIntyre ended up taking the bump into the turnbuckle, and he ate a Crossroads for a near fall.

McIntyre blocked another Cody Cutter, and then he sent Rhodes out of the ring before nailing a dive. Upon returning to the ring, McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick for a very close near fall. They went outside and Cody was in position for another kick through the announce table, and then he rolled away so Drew missed the kick and his leg went through the table.

McIntyre nailed a Glasgow Kiss to block a Cody Cutter, but then the American Nightmare nailed the second one, a Crossroads, and he got the pin to retain the title. After the match, Cody celebrated in Indianapolis.

We will have to see who steps up to get a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship next. Only time will tell what happens in the future, because anything is possible in WWE at this point.

Stephanie McMahon Announced as First Inductee For 2026 WWE Hall of Fame

Stephanie McMahon Announced as First Inductee For 2026 WWE Hall of Fame

WWE WrestlePalooza delivered one shock after another, but few moments topped The Undertaker stepping out to reveal a huge honor for Stephanie McMahon.

Before the main event in Indianapolis, the arena went wild as Kid Rock’s “American Badass” hit and The Undertaker rode down on his motorcycle. Stephanie McMahon was standing at ringside when Taker approached her, microphone in hand. After joking about never sitting on the other side of the barricade and pointing out how Stephanie had been spotted at big events recently, he got to the real reason for his appearance.

“Are you ready?” The Undertaker paused before announcing it was his honor to reveal Stephanie McMahon as the first inductee into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. The crowd erupted as the two hugged, and moments later WWE CEO Nick Khan joined in to congratulate her with a hug of his own.

Stephanie’s induction will be the centerpiece of next year’s Hall of Fame ceremony, and with her career spanning decades as both an on-screen character and a powerful executive, the news felt like a full-circle moment. Fans are now waiting to see who else will be announced to join the 2026 class.

AJ Lee Makes Becky Lynch Tap Out In WWE Return Match At WrestlePalooza

AJ Lee Makes Becky Lynch Tap Out In WWE Return Match At WrestlePalooza

AJ Lee is back in a big way.

WWE Wrestlepalooza went down at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was a historic show, as it was the first-ever premium live event on ESPN’s new platform, and it also saw the in-ring return of AJ Lee.

This match went down after Stephanie Vaquer won the WWE Women’s World Title. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch received an incredible entrance as they were lowered on giant pedestals, while wearing all purple.

CM Punk and AJ Lee received an amazing introduction in Indianapolis as well. Punk had a jacket on that said “AJ’s Husband.”

This match got started, and Becky Lynch tagged herself in, thinking that she was going to fight CM Punk, but he tagged AJ Lee instead, as fans chanted “GTS.” Lynch circled Lee and nailed Punk with a cheap shot before running around the ring to tag Rollins in. Then the two champions kissed at ringside. CM Punk broke up the love fest with a suicide dive, and then the two fought in the crowd a bit before returning to ringside.

The story of this match was AJ Lee getting her hands on Becky Lynch, and they did their best to mount that tension. Along the way, AJ Lee got some revenge on Seth Rollins in the corner.

Punk was eventually able to get a tag to AJ Lee, but the referee didn’t see the tag. Then Rollins put Lynch up in a military press and tried to splash Punk, but he moved, and she crashed and burned. AJ Lee laughed a lot after seeing that. Then Lynch pulled Lee off the apron so Punk couldn’t tag her.

Rollins mocked AJ Lee by skipping all around the ring, but then he ate a GTS. Lynch tried to keep Punk from tagging AJ, but he did anyway. Then Lee hit a Thesz Press as she pummeled her. She threw Lynch down and stomped her in the corner before hitting a splash in the corner. Lee hit a spin kick and took Lynch down before climbing up top to nail a crossbody block for a near fall. Fans chanted “You’ve Still Got It!” to AJ Lee as the match carried on. Seth Rollins tried to get involved, but AJ Lee took him and Lynch down at the same time.

CM Punk got back in, and he helped AJ Lee flip into a sliced bread on Seth Rollins that ended in a splash on Lynch for a near fall. AJ Lee and CM Punk nailed twin bulldogs and a shining wizard as AJ Lee skipped around the ring.

Lynch and Lee wrestled around, trying to gain an advantage. Finally, Lee got her Black Widow submission on Lynch. Rollins tried to stop her, but CM Punk got the sharpshooter on him. Finally, they got out of the move, but Rollins got the Black Widow on Seth before Lynch nailed a Becksploder on Lee. This was followed by Lynch and Rollins hitting double pedigrees for a near fall.

The match continued as AJ Lee hit a Becksploder on Becky Lynch. Then Rollins ripped her feet out from under her before Punk nailed a stomp on him and nailed a few shots to the face. Then Becky Lynch started hitting Punk, and he got up, grabbed her arm and caught her leg off a kick. Fans cheered as Punk took his time, so he swept her leg. That was followed by Lynch getting a sharpshooter on Punk, but he fought out of it, and he got one on of his own. Rollins nailed another pedigree on Punk after that and a stomp, however, AJ Lee nailed a stomp on Rollins followed by a Manhandle Slam on Lee from Lynch for a near fall.

Finally, all four Superstars in the match found themselves in hockey fights. This brought fans to a fever pitch. The match spilled to the ringside area and an announce table was broken in the process. They got back to the ring and Lynch tried for another Manhandle Slam, but AJ Lee reversed it into a Black Widow and The Man tapped out.

This was a big deal for AJ Lee. The former Divas Champion hasn’t wrestled in WWE for a long time. AJ Lee’s return to the picture was a big deal, considering the fact that her last match was on March 30, 2015, during WWE RAW, where she teamed with Naomi and Paige to defeat Natalya and The Bella Twins.

Stephanie Vaquer Wins Women’s World Title At WWE WrestlePalooza

Stephanie Vaquer Wins Women's World Title At WWE WrestlePalooza

WWE has a new Women’s World Champion.

WWE Wrestlepalooza took place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was a huge night for the company, and they had quite a women’s title match.

On the card, IYO SKY defended the Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer. The match added to the event’s lineup of title bouts and highlighted the ongoing focus on the Women’s World Championship scene.

This match went down like this because Naomi was champion, but she had to vacate her title due to pregnancy. IYO Sky was already slated to face Naomi, and Vaquer won a #1 contender match as well, which set up this match for the championless title.

This match went on third of the night, after the Brons beat the Usos. The contest also received a big fight feel thanks to Alicia Taylor’s suburb ring introductions.

The two had a back and forth match, and neither of them wanted to give her opponent the upperhand. After all, there was a lot on the line during this match. Fans gave both competitors a ton of respect, as it seemed like some wanted both to win the match.

IYO Sky was able to gain an advantage to send Vaquer out of the ring. Then she hyped up the crowd and nailed a suicide dive. However, Vaquer blocked a powerbomb move from the apron to nail a dive of her own. Fans chanted “This Is Awesome” at that point as the match continued.

Stephanie Vaquer nailed a snap suplex followed by missing her running knees, so IYO Sky nailed a release German Suplex which was returned by one of her own by Vaquer. That left both wrestlers laid out on the mat.

Vaquer continued, and she went for a Devil’s Kiss, but IYO Sky blocked it and transitioned into a crossface submission. Stephanie rolled out of it, but then she took a knee to the side of the head. Vaquer blocked an Over The Moonsault, and then she hit a dragon screw on Sky before the former Damage CTRL member fired off with a kick to the head.

IYO went for an Over The Moonsault, but Vaquer got her knees up. Then Vaquer finally nailed the Devil’s Kiss followed by an SVB for a near fall. The match continued as IYO hit a top rope Spanish Fly, but she couldn’t go for the pin. IYO hit a Bullet Train attack, and she went for a second and hit that one as well. Then she hit a running knee to the side of the head before she climbed up for an Over The Moonsault, but Vaquer moved. That gave Stephanie a chance to climb up and hit a Spiral Tap for the win.

Stephanie Vaquer celebrated in Indianapolis as the new WWE Women’s World Champion. Vaquer and IYO Sky bowed to each other and hugged. This was a huge moment, and tears were shed as well. Only time will tell who steps up to her next.
