Mystery Attacker Who Helped Jacy Jayne Retain At No Mercy Revealed During 9/30 WWE NXT

WWE’s NXT brand dropped a major reveal on the September 30 episode—and it all centers around Lainey Reid and the Fatal Attraction crew.

Reid was originally slated to challenge for the WWE Speed Title at No Mercy, but her match was pulled, and Jaida Parker took her place. While Reid didn’t step into the ring, it turns out she still had a major role at the event—just one fans didn’t see coming.

In a backstage segment on NXT, Lainey Reid revealed that she was the masked woman who interfered in the NXT Women’s Title match at No Mercy. That interference helped Jacy Jayne retain her championship against Lola Vice.

Reid proudly admitted it to Jayne and Fallon Henley, smirking as she bragged about still being part of No Mercy despite being taken off the official card.

But she didn’t stop there. Reid also confessed to being the one who attacked Jazmyn Nyx—an attack that sidelined Nyx and effectively removed her from the Fatal Influence stable. That twist reshapes the entire dynamic within NXT’s women’s division.

With betrayals, masked interference, and shifting alliances, this storyline has gone full soap opera. And with Reid now cemented as a wild card in the division, the Fatal Attraction stable might be stronger—and more chaotic—than ever.

What do you think about Lainey Reid’s reveal? Did NXT pull off the swerve, or did you see it coming? Let us know how you feel about this new chapter.

Ethan Page Has Surprising Challenger Step Up For ShowDown Special During 9/30 NXT

Ethan Page Has Surprising Challenger Step Up For ShowDown Special During 9/30 NXT

The ShowDown special on October 7 has a big championship match.

The No Mercy premium live event was quite a show. Ethan Page walked out of the show as NXT North American Champion, but he had another challenger step up to him this week.

Mustafa Ali came out to interrupt Ethan Page’s segment this week on the show. He surprised Ethan Page by his appearance, and he had a lot to say as he unearthed some old history.

Ali made it clear that he earned an NXT North American Championship match, but it didn’t happen. Instead of that match, he was released. Now, he’s back in NXT 749 days later, and he is still waiting for that championship match.

Ethan Page didn’t like Mustafa Ali’s sob story. Ali said he’s not going to cry about it, he’s going to politic for it. So, he’s getting that NXT North American Title match on the show next week.

We will have to see how this match pans out. The NXT and TNA Wrestling ShowDown special will be quite a special night.

What’s your take on this North American Title match? Do you think Mustafa Ali will walk away with the title? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

NXT & TNA Invasion Special Gets New Name During 9/30 Episode

NXT & TNA Invasion Special Gets New Name During 9/30 Episode

WWE had to change up the verbiage a bit.

WWE’s NXT brand had a lot to get to for their September 30 episode. They closed out the month with an Invasion angle, as the name of their upcoming special on October 7 is about to change.

Controversy erupted over WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling’s upcoming Invasion special. They quietly scrubbed that branding since then. Due to this, they have apparently changed the name of this nostalgic special.

During this week’s NXT, TNA’s Director of Authority, Santino Marella, made it clear that TNA Wrestling is not “invading” NXT. He made it clear that the two sides have been working together. So, this is not an Invasion, it is a “Showdown.”

As you know, WWE has already had an Invasion angle. In 2001, WWE bought WCW after it shut down. A few months later, ECW closed too. WWE used this to create a storyline where WCW and ECW wrestlers teamed up to invade WWE. The Alliance formed after that, and the rest is history.

We will have to see what is next, but this is certainly an interesting turn of events. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more.

Roman Reigns Returns To Get Revenge During 9/29 WWE RAW

Roman Reigns Returns To Get Revenge During 9/29 WWE RAW

Roman Reigns is back after a short break.

The September 29 episode of WWE RAW included a lot of big moments at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show kicked off with quite a segment.

Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker were able to defeat The Usos at Clash in Paris. Then the two teams had another match this week on RAW, but it was a tornado tag team match this time around.

This match went down in the main event slot of this week’s show. Just as it looked like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed were going to win, as they stacked the Usos on top of each other and prepared for a splash, Roman Reigns’ music hit.

The OTC came out with a steel chair as an equalizer. Then Roman approached Bronson and he took him out with the foreign object, one that was totally legal in this match. Then he turned his attention to Bron Breakker. It was a brutal attack on the Vision members, and fans were more than happy to see him return tonight.

After that, the Usos were able to win the match. Only time will tell how this pans out in the end.

Roman Reigns’ most recent match took place on August 31, 2025, at WWE Clash in Paris. In that event, Reigns faced Bronson Reed, and the OTC won. However, an attack after the match put Reigns out of commission for a bit.

We will have to see what is next for Roman Reigns’ booking. It appears that he is back in the fold, and it stands to reason that he will make it on the Crown Jewel card in some fashion.

Former NWA Champion Spotted During Backstage Segment On 9/29 WWE RAW

Former NWA Champion Spotted During Backstage Segment On 9/29 WWE RAW

This was a fun sighting during WWE RAW this week.

The September 29 episode of WWE RAW included a lot of big moments at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. That included a big opening segment that also included a follow-up that drew some attention.

IYO Sky didn’t open up WWE RAW this week in a way she liked at all. Rhea Ripley opened RAW and spoke about what happened. She addressed the actions of Asuka and Kairi Sane. IYO Sky then came out to confront Ripley. She said she felt betrayed too.

IYO told Ripley that she would not fight her own group. Then she turned to leave the ring. Asuka and Kairi Sane attacked Ripley from behind. IYO ran back to the ring to help.

Asuka then sprayed her mist in IYO’s face. IYO dropped to the mat as the segment ended. Later in the show, WWE aired a backstage video of IYO getting medical help. Some fans noticed that NWA Women’s Tag Team Champion Ella Envy was among the people assisting her. The 25-years-old wrestler is still making the rounds on the indie scene, and it was nice seeing her in this role.

We will have to see if Ella Envy makes any more on-screen appearances for WWE. You never know who will show up on WWE RAW each week, even in the background.

What’s your take on this cameo during WWE RAW in a backstage segment? Did you spot Ella Envy? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Dominik Mysterio Retains IC Title In Very Dirty Fashion During 9/29 WWE RAW

Dominik Mysterio Retains IC Title In Very Dirty Fashion During 9/29 WWE RAW

There’s no limit to how low Dominik Mysterio will go to keep his title.

The September 29 episode of WWE RAW included a lot of big moments at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. This included a big IC Title match that some fans have been looking forward to.

Rusev has been trying his best to re-establish himself in WWE since his return. This week on RAW, he had a chance to face Dominik Mysterio for his IC Title. Of course, Dominik would still walk out of the match as AAA Mega Champion, no matter what.

This match was the first of the night, and it also received a big fight feel thanks to Alicia Taylor’s ring introductions. After they got started, the two wrestled through a commercial break.

When we got back to the action, Dominik Mysterio had control of the match, and Rusev wasn’t giving up the pinfall easily. Mysterio nailed a 6-1-9, and then he climbed up, but missed the frog splash. Then Rusev hyped himself up and nailed a Machka Kick for a close near fall.

Dirty Dom had enough of the match, and he rolled out of the ring to grab his titles. Rusev went back to get him, but then Dom did the bit where he acted like Rusev hit him with a title when the referee wasn’t looking. Then Dom nailed a mule kick to Rusev’s groin before getting a roll-up pin win.

IYO Sky Takes Mist From Asuka After Ambush Attack During 9/29 WWE RAW

IYO Sky Takes Mist From Asuka After Ambush Attack During 9/29 WWE RAW

Things are heating up in the women’s division on RAW.

The September 29 episode of WWE RAW included a lot of big moments at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show kicked off with quite a segment.

Last week’s WWE RAW ended with Asuka and Kairi Sane turning on IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley. In the end, The Nightmare was hit by Asuka’s blue mist, and this week it was IYO Sky’s turn.

Rhea Ripley opened up the show this week. She wasn’t happy about Asuka and Kairi Sane’s recent activities. Then IYO Sky came down to meet with Ripley, where she explained how she felt betrayed as well.

IYO Sky said that she cannot attack or fight her “family,” and then she turned to leave. Suddenly, Asuka and Kairi Sane jumped Ripley in the ring, and then IYO Sky ran down to help.

IYO Sky then took a shot to the face with Asuka’s mist, and this left her on the mat. She sold the mist as fans watched the opening segment of RAW this week end on a big cliffhanger.

We will have to see what is next for Asuka and Kairi Sane’s current angle with IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley. It seems that WWE is going to give them plenty of time to tell that story, and opening up RAW this week certainly got some eyes on them.

What’s your take on WWE RAW’s opening segment this week? Do you think that they should have booked it different? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Ricky Saints Wins NXT Title At No Mercy 2025

Ricky Saints Wins NXT Title At No Mercy 2025

A new era has officially begun in WWE NXT—and Ricky Saints is the man leading it.

At NXT No Mercy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Saints shocked the system by dethroning Oba Femi in a high-stakes main event that closed out the night. It wasn’t just a victory—it was a statement. Ricky Saints is now your new NXT Champion, and the Absolute Era has officially arrived.

The match had a big fight feel from the jump. Mike Rome’s ring introductions gave it the epic touch it deserved, with the crowd split right down the middle for both superstars. Oba Femi started strong, leaning into his size advantage and trying to slow the pace with punishing backbreakers during his 11th title defense. Saints absorbed the punishment and waited for his moment.

That moment came in explosive fashion. Saints rallied and managed to hit a massive powerbomb for a near fall. The action spilled outside, where Oba tried to put him away with a powerbomb on the announce table—but Ricky reversed it into a DDT, then spiked him again with a tornado DDT off the table.

Oba fought back and landed his signature Fall From Grace, but Saints somehow kicked out. That only fueled Ricky more. As Femi tried for another Fall From Grace, Saints reversed it—again—with a brutal DDT, and followed it up with another one straight into the canvas for the win.

Ricky Saints stood tall with the NXT Championship in his hands as No Mercy went off the air, officially ending Oba Femi’s dominant reign.

What did you think of Ricky Saints’ performance? Who should be his first challenger as champion? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.

Masked Attacker Helps Jacy Jayne Retain NXT Women’s Title At No Mercy 2025

Masked Attacker Helps Jacy Jayne Retain NXT Women's Title At No Mercy 2025

The Vice City Era just got put on hold in a shocking twist at WWE NXT’s No Mercy event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lola Vice once again challenged Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship on Jayne’s 122nd day as champion, but the night ended with more questions than answers after a mystery attacker intervened.

The match had all the ingredients of a big showdown. Fans were firmly behind Lola Vice from the start, especially after Mike Rome’s ring introductions set the stage. Jacy Jayne initially controlled the pace, but her showboating gave Vice an opening. Vice fired off stiff strikes to take control, only for Fallon Henley to interfere on the outside and swing momentum back in Jayne’s favor. Chants of “kick her out” echoed through the arena before Henley was eventually ejected from ringside.

That’s when things really got chaotic. After a back-and-forth exchange with near falls and big strikes, Vice appeared on the verge of victory. But out of nowhere, someone dressed in black with a hood and mask jumped the barricade and blindsided Lola Vice. The referee didn’t see the attack, continuing the count as Vice barely made it back in at nine. As she turned around, Jacy Jayne landed her Rolling Encore to secure the win.

The mystery attacker never revealed their identity, leaving fans stunned. Vice’s Florida homecoming turned into a heartbreaking loss, and the unanswered question now lingers: who was under the hood? Jayne celebrated with Fallon Henley after the match, but no clues were given about the attacker’s identity or motives.

NXT’s women’s division has been defined by twists and shocking moments, but this one sets up an entirely new chapter. Lola Vice isn’t likely to take this setback quietly, and whoever interfered just put themselves directly in her crosshairs.

Who do you think the masked attacker was, and why would they target Lola Vice? Drop your theories and feedback in the comments below.

NXT & TNA Invasion Event Announced During No Mercy

NXT & TNA Invasion Event Announced During No Mercy

WWE just dropped a major announcement during NXT No Mercy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida—and it’s about to shake the entire wrestling landscape. After weeks of growing tension between NXT and TNA Wrestling, Ava officially confirmed what fans have only dreamed about: an Invasion is coming.

The drama escalated after last week’s title vs. title match between Trick Williams and Oba Femi got wrecked by an unexpected TNA invasion. That chaos didn’t just end when the cameras stopped rolling. Ava revealed that she and TNA’s Santino Marella had intense talks to figure out a solution—and now, the result is one of the most explosive cross-brand events in WWE history.

“The relationship between NXT and TNA has become extremely fractured. Last week, during Trick and Oba’s title for title match, TNA Wrestling invaded NXT, which then led to the chaos that you all saw when we went off air,” Ava said. “After this happened, Santino and I talked for hours, trying to come up with a solution, and we finally did.”

That solution? A full-blown brand war. Ava confirmed that Invasion will take place on Tuesday, October 7th, live on the CW Network. The card already includes two Survivor Series-style elimination matches—one for the men, one for the women—with teams to be announced this Tuesday after Ava and Santino make their picks.

That’s not all. The NXT Tag Team Champions Dark State will collide with The Hardy Boys, who hold the TNA Tag Team Titles. It’s title for title, winner take all—no politics, just pure tag team warfare.

Also confirmed is a rematch between Trick Williams and Oba Femi for their respective singles titles. But this time, no one will be allowed at ringside. “There has to be a winner,” Ava said. “Everyone will be barred from ringside, so there will be no interruptions.”

In the middle of all this, it was also confirmed that Je’Von Evans is heading to Bound for Glory to challenge for the X-Division Championship, further proving that this NXT–TNA alliance is anything but ordinary.

The wrestling world thought it would never happen, but now it’s real: Invasion is on, and both brands are going to war.

Sol Ruca Retains WWE Speed Title After Mystery Opponent Reveal At NXT No Mercy

Sol Ruca Retains WWE Speed Title After Mystery Opponent Reveal At NXT No Mercy

WWE’s NXT brand presented No Mercy tonight at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The WWE Speed Title was on the line, and it was quite an exciting match.

Lainey Reid was set to face Sol Ruca for the WWE Speed Championship at No Mercy, but then that match was pulled after she was injured during training. Shawn Michaels revealed that Reid wasn’t medically cleared for tonight’s event, so a new challenger needed to happen.

The three-minute match got started in a hurry, but that is standard for that match’s rules. The WWE Speed Championship was actually a five-minute contest tonight on pay-per-view, when it is usually a three-minute deal.

When everything came down to it, Jaida Parker came out to take on Sol Ruca. This match also received a big fight feel thanks to Mike Rome’s ring introductions.

The ring lit up with green tinted lights for this match as the two of them went toe-to-toe. Sol Ruca kicked out at two with about three minutes and thirty seconds to go. The two of them started trading moves, and then Parker blocked a Soul Snatcher before she brought all of her weight down on Sol Ruca as she was hung up in the corner.

The match kept going from there, and they went to the ramp for a bit, but they returned with about two minutes left. The lights turned red as Sol Ruca nailed a DDT during the two-minute warning. Ruca knew that if the clock struck zero, she would retain her title.

With 90 seconds left, Parker nailed a Samoan drop, but Sol Ruca rolled to the outside. Fans chanted for both competitors as the time ticked under a minute. Parker nailed a big hip attack on the outside with thirty seconds left, and then she slapped Zaria. Lash Legend showed up and then Zaria nailed her with a spear. As Parker got back in the ring, Sol Ruca nailed a Soul Snatcher with 11 seconds left on the clock for a three count.

We will have to see what is next for the WWE Speed Title. This is certainly an interesting concept, and NXT seems to be a good platform for the championship.

What’s your take on this WWE Speed Championship match at No Mercy? Do you believe that there will be a resurgence in popularity for this title? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Kelani Jordan Wins Knockouts Title TNA At Victory Road 2025

Kelani Jordan Wins Knockouts Title TNA At Victory Road 2025

TNA Wrestling’s Victory Road pay-per-view was a big show for the company. That being said, they also saw a new Knockouts Champion crowned.

Ash by Elegance had to vacate the Knockouts Title during the show, and that was a big shock. However, the title didn’t remain vacated for very long at all.

At TNA Victory Road, it was announced that the final two in a battle royal would face each other later in the show for the title. Indi Hartwell was named special guest referee.

Kelani Jordan from NXT was one of the entrants. She and Léi Yǐng Lee were the final two. Jordan and Lee were then set to compete later in the show to decide the new champion.

This match finally got going later on in the night, and it had a big fight feel as well. The two got going and really took each other to the limit early on with back-and-forth action. Then they spilled to the ringside area, but the action didn’t stop. They got back to the ring where the two tried to best each other with chain wrestling while Indi Hartwell kept a close watch over things.

Things eventually resulted in a shoving match as Jordan came out on top. Then Léi Yǐng Lee moved and almost got a pin off a roll-up, but turned it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Later on, Jordan was able to nail a powerbomb to the outside, and then she threw her opponent back in the ring, however, Jordan soon found herself in a crossface from Léi Yǐng Lee. Jordan was able to get out of that move and take control once again.

Kelani Jordan climbed to the top rope and nailed a frog splash for a two count. Indi Hartwell took a bump, and she was out of commission, so she couldn’t make any sort of pinfall. She came to, but the former NXT Superstar didn’t make the three count. The two continued until Kelani Jordan nailed her finisher to win the match. Now the TNA Knockouts Champion is once again around the waist of an NXT Superstar.

We will have to see what happens next, because TNA has a lot of attention at this point. Only time will tell what they do next to spark attention and make some more history?

Jade Cargill Busted Open Big Time During WWE Women’s Title Match On 9/26 SmackDown

Jade Cargill Busted Open Big Time During WWE Women's Title Match On 9/26 SmackDown

The SmackDown main event was a brutal triple threat.

The September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. This included a huge triple threat title match.

The show featured a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Tiffany Stratton defended her title against Jade Cargill and Nia Jax.

The match lasted 11 minutes and 23 seconds. It ended in a double count-out between Stratton and Cargill. Stratton retained the title. There was no winner. The result leaves the title picture unresolved. So, this week’s triple threat match had a lot more on the line.

This match was the main event of the night, and it received a big fight feel thanks to Mark Nash’s ring introductions. Although Tiffany Stratton walked into the match with the 4th longest women’s title reign in WWE history, she had no championship advantage in this contest.

The three competitors fought through a commercial break, and then Tiffany Stratton got caught on a rope while doing a dive to the outside, which let Jade Cargill take control for a bit, but Nia Jax used her veteran experience to take her out. The match kept going with Jax and Stratton in the ring for a bit, but then Cargill returned to mix.

At one point, Tiffany Stratton hit a dive on Nia, but she got up to eat a kick from Cargill, so she fell back on Jax for a two count. Then they went to another commercial break. When we got back from the break, Tiffany and Jade were setting Nia Jax up for a giant superplex that they pulled off, however, neither of them could get to the pinfall.

Tiffany Stratton hit a moonsault after that, but she couldn’t make the pin work. Then Stratton got Jade in the corner, and she went flipping into Jade, but she just caught her and nailed a Jaded, but Nia Jax pulled the referee out of the ring.

Jax and Cargill started fighting on the outside of the ring and Jade was busted open hard way by the ring steps. Then she nailed a Samoan Drop on the ring steps. As Jade Cargill was tended to by medical staff, Jax returned to the ring. Jade hit an Eye of the Storm on Jax, but she kicked out. Then Tiffany got a three count on Jax, but the referee botched the count. Then Stratton nailed a Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win to retain her title.

We will keep a close eye on Tiffany Stratton and the WWE Women’s Tittle. At this point, we know who will battle at Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Women’s Title, but there is no off-season in WWE. The event will go down on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
