Joe Hendry Attacks Trick Williams After TNA World Title Defense During 6/24 WWE NXT

WWE’s NXT brand brought a packed show for their June 24 episode. The hottest months of the year are upon us, and that goes for NXT as well.

The TNA World Title was on the line this week. Trick Williams put his championship on the line against Josh Briggs, and the two kicked off the show this week with a brutal contest.

This title match was given a big fight feel thanks to the electricity in the NXT Arena. Josh Briggs was able to get the upperhand early on, and he started to rally on Trick Williams as they cut to commercial break.

When we got back, Trick Williams tried to get back into the match, but Briggs simply overpowered him with move after move. Briggs was also able to nail a chokeslam, but he couldn’t pull down the win. Then Briggs missed a move off the top, which gave Williams a chance to nail a Trick Shot for the win.

After the match, Trick Williams ran his mouth a bit, and then Joe Hendry’s music hit. Suddenly, Hendry jumped Trick in the middle of the ring, and he ran off the TNA World Champion.

Joe Hendry already has his rematch in line for the TNA World Title at Slammiversary. Only time will tell what happens in the meantime, but TNA’s partnership with NXT is certainly making things interesting.

Cody Rhodes Beats Jey Uso on WWE RAW to Secure King of the Ring Final Spot

Cody Rhodes Beats Jey Uso on WWE RAW to Secure King of the Ring Final Spot

The June 23 episode of WWE RAW was quite a show to the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. That night included figuring out who would go onto Night of Champions to battle for the 2025 King of the Ring tournament.

It all came down to Cody Rhodes against Jey Uso in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament. The winner of that match would go on to face Randy Orton in Saudi Arabia at Night of Champions.

This match was the main event of the night. They did not get big match ring introductions, as the match started in a sea of chants and songs from the Columbus, Ohio fans after the two shook hands.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso went move-for-move for a bit. Fans were split down the middle as they went to commercial break. When we came back, Cody had Jey in a figure 4 leg lock. Jey got out of it, and then Cody locked on a Kimura and Michael Cole brought up how Rhodes once beat Brock Lesnar with that move, but Uso was able to turn that into a sleeper hold, and Cole brought up how Uce beat GUNTHER with that submission.

The match continued and fans were chanting at a fever pitch. Uso nailed a spear at one point, but Cody was able to kick out. Eventually, Jey Uso nailed a Crossroads for a near fall. Then Jey nailed a superkick and a spear on Rhodes, but Rhodes met Uso on the top for an Avalanche Cody Cutter. That was followed by a Crossroads for the win. Now it will be Rhodes vs Orton in the finals of the King of the Ring.

Night of Champions will go down on June 28, 2025, and will be held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We will have to see who wins the King of the Ring tournament. The winner of that match will go on to get a World Title match at SummerSlam, and it’s anyone’s guess at this point.

Becky Lynch Keeps Women’s WWE Intercontinental Title After Chaotic RAW Finish With Bayley

Becky Lynch Keeps Women’s WWE Intercontinental Title After Chaotic RAW Finish With Bayley

Becky Lynch and Bayley’s championship showdown on the June 23 episode of WWE RAW didn’t end the way anyone expected.

The match took place at Columbus, Ohio’s Nationwide Arena and had all the heat fans wanted to see. Lynch and Bayley have gone to war for years, but this one came with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line.

Bayley came into the match looking for payback after Becky Lynch cost her a WrestleMania moment earlier this year. Lynch went on to stack her trophy case, grabbing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles and the Women’s IC Title, but Bayley was waiting for her shot.

Once the bell rang, Bayley took control early and went after Lynch around the ringside area. Fans in Columbus were loudly backing Bayley, but Lynch clawed her way back into the match. The two threw everything at each other and eventually found themselves battling for control on the top rope. Lynch won that exchange with a superplex that left both women gasping for momentum.

Bayley nailed Lynch with a Manhandle Slam, but Becky wisely rolled out of the ring to avoid the pin. Lynch fought back by launching Bayley over the announce table and burying her in chairs. That’s when Lyra Valkyria stormed down to the ring.

Lyra nearly interfered, but she stopped short of causing a disqualification. Still, Lynch caught her with a basement dropkick, and the distraction gave Bayley the opening she needed. Bayley slammed Lynch into every surface she could find before throwing her back into the ring.

As Bayley climbed the ropes to finish the match, Lyra suddenly jumped into the ring and attacked Becky Lynch. The referee immediately called for the bell, ending the match in disqualification. Bayley and Lyra argued in the ring as Lynch grabbed her title and made a fast exit. The Women’s IC Title picture just got messier, and it’s clear this story isn’t over yet.

What’s your take — should Lyra Valkyria get a title shot after this, or did she just ruin Bayley’s moment? Sound off in the comments below.

The June 23 episode of WWE RAW included a few noteworthy segments as they wrapped things up before Night of Champions. That being said, they still have a huge Saturday Night’s Main Event coming on July 12.

GUNTHER is set to face Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main event. That World Heavyweight Championship match will be a historic night, and it may also include Goldberg’s last match.

Goldberg had a chance to speak his mind during RAW this week. He was quite brutal with his intentions, and then it was GUNTHER’s time to speak.

Jade Cargill Moves on to Queen of the Ring Finals After 6/23 WWE RAW Victory

The June 23 episode of WWE RAW went down in Columbus Ohio’s Nationwide. The Queen of the Ring tournament captured a lot of attention.

During WWE RAW tonight, Jade Cargill took on Roxanne Perez in a semifinals match. The winner of that contest would go on to Night of Champions where they will wrestle in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament to see who will face Asuka.

This match went down at the end of the show’s first hour. Roxanne Perez took things slow to start, which only gained her more heat with fans. Eventually, Jade Cargill was able to get an upperhand, thanks to her size and power advantage.

This match continued through a commercial break as the two competitors battled in the ring. Both of them obviously wanted to secure a spot at Night of Champions. After taking some abuse, Cargill was able to fire off a fallaway slam and a spinebuster to gain control. Then Cargill stalked her opponent and landed another slam for a near fall.

Perez reversed a Jaded attempt for a pin, but she only got a two count. Then Perez caught Cargill with a big boot and a couple more quick moves for a two count. She wasn’t happy about that, to say the least. Cargill avoided a Pop Rocks and hit another boot for a powerbomb and a Jaded for the win. Now it will be Jade Cargill against Asuka in Saudi Arabia. After that, Asuka came out to have a face-to-face with Cargill.

Night of Champions will go down on June 28, 2025, and will be held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be quite an event for WWE, and the winner of the tournaments will get championship matches at SummerSlam.

Goldberg Sends Brutal Warning to GUNTHER Ahead of His WWE Retirement Match

The June 23 episode of WWE RAW was a big episode in Columbus, Ohio’s Nationwide arena. Goldberg was on hand to speak on his upcoming match against GUNTHER, and he had a lot to say.

Goldberg returned to make it clear that he wanted a piece of GUNTHER. That capped off months of speculation about when we will see the Ring General Once again.

GUNTHER and Goldberg will collide at Saturday Night’s Main event on July 12, 2025 in Atlanta. That city holds a lot of history with Goldberg, and it may also be the cite of his retirement match.

GUNTHER took things over the line with Goldberg at Bad Blood in Atlanta. Goldberg made it clear in that interview that he wasn’t going to let GUNTHER get away with that. He wanted to seek his revenge and introduce the Ring General to who he really is. That embarrassment will be rectified soon enough.

Goldberg then said that GUNTHER put himself in the spot of his retirement match when the time came to think about an opponent. He said that as long as he is breathing, he will make GUNTHER breathe. “I will beat the ***** out of GUNTHER at Saturday Night’s Main Event,” he concluded.

When asked if Saturday Night’s Main Event will be his retirement match, he confirmed this. Then Michael Cole asked about possibly winning the World Heavyweight Championship in that match, and Goldberg thought that was an interesting situation.

WWE Nixes Night of Champions Title Match During 6/23 RAW

WWE Nixes Night of Champions Title Match During 6/23 RAW

The Night of Champions card just took a major hit, and WWE fans aren’t thrilled.

During the June 23 episode of WWE RAW, Adam Pearce dropped the news that AJ Styles’ scheduled Intercontinental Title match against Dominik Mysterio at Night of Champions is officially off. Pearce blamed the change on circumstances linked to Liv Morgan’s recent injury, though he stopped short of revealing the full story.

“Your Intercontinental Title match with Dominik Mysterio at Night of Champions… it’s not happening,” Pearce told Styles backstage on RAW.

AJ Styles didn’t take the news well, and it’s safe to say fans share the frustration. WWE’s Night of Champions is still set for June 28 in Saudi Arabia, but now the card is missing a major title bout.

WWE hasn’t provided full details on why Dominik Mysterio was pulled from the match, but the timing raises plenty of questions. With Liv Morgan’s injury affecting Judgment Day’s involvement in current storylines, speculation is swirling about whether Dominik’s absence is related.

Pearce did assure Styles that he hasn’t lost his title opportunity entirely. “You’ll get the next Intercontinental Title match when Dominik can defend it again,” Pearce added.

For now, fans will have to wait and see how WWE adjusts the card with only days left before the premium live event.

What’s your take — should WWE replace the match or save AJ’s shot for later? Sound off in the comments below.

MJF and Mistico tore each other apart in their match. They fought up the entrance ramp as well, as MJF nailed a tombstone at one point, nearly causing a count out.
