Ricky Saints Retains NXT North American Title At Stand & Deliver 2025 - Page 44

Ricky Saints Retains NXT North American Title At Stand & Deliver 2025

NXT Stand & Deliver took place at the T-Mobile Arena on April 19 as part of WWE’s NXT brand. The event happened on Saturday afternoon before WrestleMania 41, and fans couldn’t wait to see what the brand had to offer. After all, NXT’s events have a tendency to give WrestleMania a run for their money.

One of the matches featured Ricky Saints defending the NXT North American Championship against Ethan Page. Saints is a new NXT North American Champion, but he was facing the man he toppled for the quickest rise to a championship in the brand.

Saints had the fans behind him in a huge way, as he strutted around the ring, even putting his own flair on Undertaker’s old-school move. Fans were chanting “NXT” as the two carried on, but neither man wanted to give the other a real upperhand.

Saints went flying off the ropes to dive onto Page, but All Ego stepped to the side and Ricky went into the announce table instead. That put Saints down, but he wasn’t out. They continued into the ring, where Page locked in a Boston Crab.

There were a couple near fall in this match, and fans in the T-Mobile Arena chanted “NXT” as the two kept going. Ricky Saints had gas left in the tank as he hoisted up Page for his finisher and the win.

This was a big win for Ricky Saints, and he celebrated the win in Las Vegas. We will have to see what he does next, but Saints was able to kick off WrestleMania Saturday with a victory.

Cody Rhodes Drops Cena With Crossroads After Brutal SmackDown Altercation

Cody Rhodes Drops Cena With Crossroads After Brutal SmackDown Altercation

WWE brought the go-home episode of SmackDown on April 18 to the T-Mobile Arena. This was a massive show, and it all concluded with building toward the biggest match at WrestleMania 41.

John Cena and Cody Rhodes are set to do battle at WrestleMania 41 during the event’s second night on Sunday. The two had one final opportunity to lay everything on the line in Las Vegas before they battled on the grandest stage of them all.

Cody Rhodes came out first, and he had the fans going in a big way. He did not have a chance to ask fans what they wanted to talk about, because John Cena’s music hit before he could say a word. When Cena got to the ring, he was greeted by a slew of chants, both for and against him.

John Cena immediately told Cody Rhodes to “shut your mouth, kid.” Cena went on about his retirement from pro wrestling, and then he said that every other wrestler is a “scared, insecure loser,” and that’s why they keep having “one more match.” He said that Superstars keep crawling back as a shell of themselves, but Cena doesn’t need “a single damn one of you” fans. He said that the only reason he was there was to take the WWE Title away from Cody and the fans forever.

John Cena brought up how Cody Rhodes finished his story at WrestleMania 40, and how afterward he told him that “everyday you hold that it gets heavier.” Cena said that Cody will lose at WrestleMania, because he cares about the fans. Then Cena shared one more thing with Rhodes, and it was about The Rock. Cena said that Cody Rhodes changed everything when he rejected The Rock’s offer. That is when Cena realized that Rhodes doesn’t stand a chance at WrestleMania 41. Cena then proclaimed that he will prove that fans don’t matter at WrestleMania when he beats Rhodes for the title.

Then, Cena said that Cody will realize that he’s not the captain or the quarterback. He’s just a kid in a man’s word “who doesn’t have the balls of the last real champion.”

Cody Rhodes had a chance to speak, and he mentioned how fans feel about him. Fans started to boo, and then the American Nightmare asked John Cena if he knows the names of anyone backstage in WWE anymore. Cody said that Cena is overrated and fans started to get behind him again. Rhodes said that Cena’s “face is melting wax, your neck is a stack of dimes, and you have spindly legs, you’re paler than Sting at Scarrcade ’97!”

Then Cody Rhodes brought up how John Cena did that nude Oscars stunt, and how it was for the people he does errands for now. He also said it’s 2025, and he still can’t wrestle. Fans blew up at that, and they started to chant Cody Rhodes’ name in sing-song fashion.

John Cena fired back to say that he doesn’t have to wrestle at WrestleMania to beat Cody Rhodes. Then John tried to hit an Attitude Adjustment, but Cody reversed it into a Crossroads to close out the night posing with the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Nick Wayne Wins ROH TV Title During 4/17 AEW Collision

AEW brought the April 17 episode of Collision to Boston this week. This was a big night for Tony Khan’s company, and that

Komander won the ROH World Television Title on December 20, 2024 at Final Battle. However, he dropped it tonight in Boston. This came after a hard-fought match against Nick Wayne.

Nick Wayne entered the match determined to make Christian proud as a member of the Patriarchy. In the end, fans in Boston saw a title change. Many were shocked by this booking decision, but Christian and Mama Wayne were shown backstage looking very proud.

We will have to see what happens next in ROH, but it seems that Nick Wayne will be around much more often, and as a top champion in the company. This could be a very interesting situation, to say the least.

Karrion Kross Gets Old Entrance Back During Commercial Break on 4/14 WWE RAW

Roman Reigns Turns on Paul Heyman After Explosive RAW Showdown with CM Punk and Seth Rollins

The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California played host to the April 14 episode of WWE RAW. With WrestleMania 41 right around the corner, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen to surprise fans.

Karrion Kross once ruled NXT, and he was quite a champion. His entrance was epic, and it blew up in the NXT Arena, but things weren’t the same when Vince McMahon called him up to the WWE main roster. Now, that entrance is back for Kross.

During this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Karrion Kross took on AJ Styles during the start of the show. This included Kross getting his old entrance back, however, it wasn’t for everyone.

They even put the screen to black and white as Scarlett came out to usher Karrion Kross to the ring. It was quite impressive, as Kross prepared for battle against the Phenomenal One.

WWE elected to show this entrance as the show was on a commercial break on Netflix. That means a large number of fans wouldn’t be able to see that entrance go down.

Only time will tell what Karrion Kross is able to do next. He’s done a lot in WWE, and he couldn’t certainly use a boost in any way he can.
