Goldberg’s career in the ring was thought to be over, but one can never predict what can happen in WWE. The WWE Hall of Famer was present for Bad Blood 2024.

WWE Bad Blood featured Triple H making a significant announcement as he unveiled a new championship for WWE. The Crown Jewel Championship was introduced by the WWE COO, who stated that the new title would be awarded to the winner of the match between both men’s and women’s champions at Crown Jewel.

GUNTHER then entered to assert that he intends to win the new championship at Crown Jewel. He reminded Triple H of his victory in the King of the Ring tournament in Saudi Arabia, expressing confidence in his chances.

GUNTHER then focused on Goldberg, who was sitting at ringside, and insulted Goldberg’s ability to be a good father, prompting the WWE Hall of Famer to leap over the barricade. Security had to gather around to stop Goldberg from getting physical with the Ring General.

Sami Zayn then attacked GUNTHER, leading to a chaotic melee. In the end, Goldberg celebrated after making his statement in the ring. While this incident may not have teased a future match, it is uncertain what might happen next in WWE.

The 2024 WWE Crown Jewel will occur on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It remains to be seen if Goldberg will make the trip, but he was certainly present for Bad Blood.

Damian Priest Gets Revenge Over Finn Balor During Bad Blood 2024

Damian Priest Gets Revenge Over Finn Balor During Bad Blood 2024

WWE Bad Blood 2024 saw the event return after a twenty-year hiatus from the WWE schedule. The five-match card contained a lot of matches with a lot of backstory and few have the kind of history as Damian Priest and Finn Balor.

At SummerSlam 2024, Damian Priest lost the World Heavyweight Championship due to betrayal from Finn Bálor, who then excommunicated both Priest and Ripley from the group. The faction now includes Bálor, Mysterio, Morgan, JD McDonagh, and Carlito. Priest was far from finished with his former friend, and they collided in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

The third match of the night at Bad Blood featured a showdown between two former Judgment Day allies. The crowd included several big names, such as Quavo, Lil Baby, Metro Boomin, X-Pac, Tully Blanchard, and Arn Anderson, who were all shown at ringside prior to the match. Balor entered the arena wearing a new mask with a white stripe down the center, along with a fresh face paint design under his eye.

Both Balor and Priest were eager to settle their rivalry and started the match at a fast pace, with Damian Priest looking to make Balor pay for their past. The action spilled outside the ring, where Balor executed a slingblade on Priest, gaining the upper hand. Balor maintained control, applying a sleeper hold until Priest managed to break free.

After taking a hard shot to the face, Balor countered with a side Russian leg sweep, keeping himself in control. However, Priest powered up and began to land punches on Balor. Priest hit a Broken Arrow for a near fall as the match continued. Balor responded with a slingblade, but Priest followed up with a punch and a clothesline for another two count. Priest then executed a Razor’s Edge on Balor for a close near fall.

The action returned outside, where Priest launched Balor over the announce table and then delivered a powerbomb onto the apron. Standing over Balor, Priest pulled down the straps of his singlet. Suddenly, Carlito appeared to distract the referee, allowing JD McDonagh to hang Priest up on the ropes. Balor seized the moment and hit a Coup De Grâce on Priest, but only scored a two count. Carlito distracted the referee once more, leading to Balor receiving a chair, but Priest kicked it out of his hands.

The two continued to exchange moves, with Balor climbing to the top rope for a series of stomps on Priest’s back. As he prepared for a third stomp, Priest caught him and executed a South of Heaven for the victory. This win marked a significant moment for Damian Priest as he gained revenge on Finn Balor. Only time will reveal whether this rivalry continues to unfold.

Nia Jax Beats Bayley in Close Call to Retain WWE Women’s Title at Bad Blood 2024

Nia Jax Beats Bayley in Close Call to Retain WWE Women's Title at Bad Blood 2024

WWE’s Bad Blood 2024 included some high-stakes matches, and this was also true for the women’s roster. Not only did Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Naomi get to host the premium live event and Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley threw down, but Bayley vs Nia Jax also took center stage for their Women’s Title match.

At King and Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament, earning a match for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2024. She defeated Bayley for the title with help from Tiffany Stratton, and it’s anyone’s guess when it will finally be Tiffy Time for Miss Money in the Bank.

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis scheduled a #1 contenders match between Bayley and Naomi, with the winner facing Jax for the title at Bad Blood, which Bayley won. That sparked a program, one where Tiffany Stratton accidentally called Bayley by the wrong name during the October 4 WWE SmackDown.

This match got special big match introductions from Samantha Irvin before they got going. WWE also replaced the ring mat after the bloodbath of a Hell in a Cell match that opened up the premium live event.

Bayley had a challenging start as Nia Jax showcased her size advantage over the former Hugger by applying a massive bear hug in the middle of the ring, along with other power moves. Jax then took to the mat and locked in a leg submission on Bayley.

After enduring some punishment, Bayley managed to gain the upper hand momentarily by hitting a baseball slide to the outside. She then scored a two-count on Jax inside the ring. Following that, Bayley executed a suicide dive on Jax, but Nia regained control when they returned to the ring, landing a splash in the corner.

Bayley attempted to stop Nia on the top rope and nearly executed a powerbomb, but Nia reversed it into a hurricanrana and then delivered a Bayley to Belly for a two-count. Although the move wasn’t particularly stylish, Bayley sold it well. They continued the match, with Bayley hitting a sunset flip bomb on Nia Jax into the corner.

The action intensified when Jessika Carr accidentally took a hard shot from Nia Jax, leaving the referee down. Bayley executed a Rose Plant for the pinfall, but no one was there to count. At that moment, Tiffany Stratton rushed in with her Money in the Bank briefcase.

Stratton attacked Bayley with the MITB briefcase and attempted to revive the referee. Carr picked up the briefcase as Nia Jax sat up like The Undertaker and confronted Tiffany Stratton. They shared a tense moment in the ring, and then Bayley shoved Nia into Tiffany and managed a roll-up pin for a near fall.

As the match continued, Nia Jax delivered a Samoan drop off the top rope to Bayley, followed by her finishing move for the victory. This win marked a significant title defense for Nia Jax, who left Atlanta as the WWE Women’s Champion.

CM Punk Wins Hell In A Cell Match Against Drew McIntyre At WWE Bad Blood 2024

CM Punk Wins Hell In A Cell Match Against Drew McIntyre At WWE Bad Blood 2024

WWE brought Bad Blood to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, and many fans were wondering how they would book the event’s namesake match, the Hell in a Cell. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre were prepared to bring it all to the table, and they had quite a journey to get here.

At the Royal Rumble in January, CM Punk eliminated Drew McIntyre, but during the match, McIntyre accidentally injured Punk’s tricep, and they turned that into the storyline. McIntyre taunted Punk on social media about the injury, and they kept things going for months without ever touching each other. Punk retaliated by costing McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, Clash at the Castle in June, and during McIntyre’s cash-in match at Money in the Bank in July.

At SummerSlam 2024, McIntyre defeated Punk, with Seth Rollins serving as the special guest referee. This led to a rematch at Bash in Berlin, where Punk emerged victorious in a strap match. Then Drew McIntyre went on to destroy Punk’s precious bracelet, and that resulted in the match we have in Atlanta.

This match kicked off the Bad Blood 2024 event and marked the 53rd Hell in a Cell gimmick match. Fans in Atlanta were eager to start as the cage lowered, accompanied by flames rising from the ring posts for added cinematic effect. This match was McIntyre’s third Hell in a Cell encounter, and he had yet to win one. CM Punk has been in two previous HIAC matches, and he won each of them.

The bout got off to a brutal start as CM Punk and Drew McIntyre introduced weapons right from the beginning. They tore apart a table and used its legs against each other in an innovative manner. McIntyre sent Punk into the steel cage, causing him to bleed significantly as the punishment continued. Punk’s back was cut up from the cage, with streaks of blood covering his body. McIntyre taunted Punk, stating, “your wife is gonna leave you.” The brutality escalated when McIntyre stabbed Punk in the forehead with a tool from a toolbox he had retrieved earlier. McIntyre became covered in Punk’s blood as he searched under the ring for another table.

Punk fought back with a running knee in the corner and a double axhandle drop from the middle rope. He grabbed a wrench, but McIntyre thwarted his attempt to use it as a weapon and countered with a suplex, drawing chants of “this is awesome” from the Atlanta crowd. Punk then struck McIntyre in the head with a toolbox, causing McIntyre to bleed. Both competitors were now losing blood, raising the stakes of the match.

The two continued to inflict punishment on each other, battling for the upper hand. They traded punches in the ring, but Punk was unable to execute a GTS. The mat was stained with blood as Punk landed a kick that brought both men down. They performed a suplex spot from the ring post through a table at ringside. McIntyre got up first and brought the steel steps into the ring.

Just as Drew McIntyre was about to use the steps, CM Punk caught him with a GTS, resulting in a near fall. McIntyre then responded with a White Noise onto the steel steps for another close count. Punk quickly locked in an Anaconda Vice, but McIntyre grabbed a wrench. However, Punk seized the wrench and struck McIntyre’s skull with it.

McIntyre then delivered a desperate low blow to Punk, causing him to collapse while blood continued to flow from his head. McIntyre then retrieved a black bag filled with plastic beads, reminiscent of those on Punk’s bracelet. Attempting a Claymore Kick, McIntyre missed and crashed spine-first into the steel steps. In a final move, Punk wrapped a chain around his knee, stuffed beads into McIntyre’s mouth, and executed a GTS to secure the victory.

This dramatic conclusion set the tone for the 2024 Bad Blood event, with the aftermath of the match resembling a crime scene due to the blood and chaos, which was fitting given the intensity of their feud.

Goldberg Appears During WWE Bad Blood 2024

Goldberg Appears During WWE Bad Blood 2024

WWE brought Bad Blood 2024 to Atlanta, and that city is rich with pro wrestling history. That being said, you never know who might show up, and Goldberg didn’t miss the show.

The company opened Bad Blood 2024 up with their Hell in a Cell match. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre were ready to tear each other apart, and Goldberg was right at ringside with his son, Gage Goldberg.

During Drew McIntyre’s entrance, the camera showed Goldberg in the crowd at ringside. He sat between his son, Gage, and rap legend Killer Mike. He had a big smile on his face as he waved to the camera.

Goldberg may not have gotten involved in the action, but he was certainly there for the show. We will have to see if he ever wrestles again to get his official retirement match, but he certainly wanted to be around for Bad Blood 2024.

The last time we saw Goldberg, he was at an NFL game with Bron Breakker. He has also been spotted at the University of Colorado’s football practices, where his son Gage plays for Coach Prime.

We will have to see where Goldberg appears next, because he is able to do whatever he likes at this point. For more headlines and updates, please keep an eye on our Goldberg news hub.

The Bloodline Retains WWE Tag Team Titles in Chaotic Triple Threat Ladder Match on SmackDown

The Bloodline Retains WWE Tag Team Titles in Chaotic Triple Threat Ladder Match on SmackDown

The October 4 episode of WWE SmackDown, live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, delivered a thrilling main event that left fans on the edge of their seats. Just one night before WWE Bad Blood, the WWE Tag Team Championships were on the line in a brutal Triple Threat Ladder Match featuring The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa defending their titles against #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins).

The match closed out the night in grand fashion, with each team making a full entrance before the action kicked off. From start to finish, the match was filled with breathtaking high spots and intense sequences that kept the audience glued to the action. At one point, a series of dives left all six men sprawled out at ringside, unable to gain an upper hand.

Every time a team attempted to climb the ladder and grab the gold, they were met with fierce resistance. Highlights included Gargano and Ciampa hitting a devastating Shatter Machine off the ladder, and The Street Profits pulling off a jaw-dropping double team blockbuster on Ciampa, with Montez Ford flying over a ladder from the top turnbuckle.

In a pivotal moment, Tama Tonga shoved Angelo Dawkins off the ladder and barked orders at Tonga Loa. The Bloodline then used a distraction from B-Fab at ringside to briefly gain control, but #DIY fought back with chairs and chaos ensued. Montez Ford wowed the crowd with a From The Heavens splash through a table, seemingly taking out Tonga Loa for good.

As the match reached its climax, all four men from #DIY and The Street Profits scrambled to the top of the ladder in a desperate attempt to claim the titles. However, Tanga Loa stormed back into the ring and knocked them off the ladder, sending them crashing through more ladders set up against the turnbuckles. With their competition eliminated, The Bloodline ascended the ladder to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships in a hard-fought battle.

This chaotic match not only cemented The Bloodline’s dominance but also set the stage for what promises to be an explosive WWE Bad Blood.

What was your favorite moment from this insane ladder match? Do you think The Bloodline will continue their reign of dominance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Tiffany Stratton Accidentally Calls Bayley By Her Real Name During 10/4 WWE SmackDown

Tiffany Stratton Accidentally Calls Bayley By Her Real Name During 10/4 WWE SmackDown

WWE Superstars have lives outside the ring, and most of them go by different names in their real lives. Thanks to a slip-up during the October 4 WWE SmackDown, many fans are now Googling Bayley’s real name.

Bayley is set to take on Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s World Title at Bad Blood on October 5. This caused a segment on SmackDown this week in Nashville, one where Tiffany Stratton was around. Bayley told Nia Jax that there are only two people who can take her title, herself and Stratton with her Money in the Bank briefcase.

Tiffany Stratton got all flustered, and she got in Bayley’s face a bit. Then she called Bayley “Pam,” before quickly correcting herself. Bayley’s real name is Pamela Rose Martinez, but that’s not a name she’s ever gone by in WWE. Bayley carried on in the segment and acted like nothing out of the usual happened, even though some may have expected her to call Stratton, “Jess” in retuned, since Miss MITB’s real name is Jessica Woynilko.

This little flub from Tiffany Stratton was immediately caught by fans, and the clip is getting around there. This kind of thing happens, so it’s likely that she won’t face any repercussion for that, but there’s no way to tell how much worse it would have been for Tiffany if Vince McMahon was the man waiting for her in the Gorilla Position when she got backstage instead.

We will have full coverage of Bad Blood tomorrow night, so we’ll have to see if Pam wins the title from Nia Jax.

AJ Styles Promises To Rebuild His Legacy During 10/4 WWE SmackDown Return

AJ Styles Promises To Rebuild His Legacy During 10/4 WWE SmackDown Return

The October 4 WWE SmackDown took place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. With Bad Blood scheduled for October 5, the event featured several important matches, and AJ Styles also made his highly-anticipated return.

WWE fans didn’t have to wait long to see AJ Styles’ return to the blue brand. He kicked off the show this week. Styles received a lot of love from the Nashville crowd, and he was introduced by country music star Hardy.

After soaking up a ton of chants and cheers, AJ Styles said that he missed the fans so much, and “it’s only fitting that I’m here in Nashville, Tennessee tonight. This is where it all started for AJ Styles.” After all, that’s where he laid down his TNA roots. AJ Styles said that he’s not there to dwell on the past, he’s there to rebuild his legacy.

Then he said that a lot of guys in the back need to be reminded that this is the house that AJ Styles built. This was followed by Carmelo Hayes coming out, and they started bantering about LA Knight, and how Carmelo wants to take the US Title. AJ Styles tried to talk some sense into him, but Hayes didn’t want to take advice from “quitters.” The two continued throwing shade at each other until Styles challenged Hayes to a match, but he didn’t take it.

LA Knight came out after that, and he received a warm welcome from the fans. Knight called out Carmelo, and then he shaded AJ Styles for not retiring like he said he was going to. Then Knight told Carmelo Hayes that if he can beat AJ Styles, then he’ll get him a US Title match.

This timing of AJ Styles’ return is interesting, because it was just reported that AJ Styles’ WWE contract is expiring sooner than later. Before his hiatus, AJ Styles expressed his desire for another major title reign, specifically targeting the Undisputed WWE Championship before he retires.

Although it remains uncertain what plans WWE has for him in the future, he is likely to be involved in a storyline that captures attention. Styles had the entire month of September off, with his last match taking place on August 29, 2024, at a WWE Live event during the Road to Bash in Berlin tour at Festhalle in Frankfurt, where he lost a WWE Undisputed Title match against Cody Rhodes.

We will have to see what AJ Styles does next. You can find out more on the Phenomenal One at our official AJ Styles news hub.
