CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, and Raquel Rodriguez Get Matching Tattoos After Japan WWE Tour

WWE’s trip to Japan wasn’t just about in-ring action—three of the company’s top stars left with a permanent reminder of their time overseas. CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, and Raquel Rodriguez ended their Tokyo tour by getting matching tattoos before flying back to the United States.

The trio spent a lot of time working together during WWE’s SuperShow events on October 17 and 18. On night one, Punk, Ripley, and IYO SKY aligned to take out Dominik Mysterio. The following evening, Ripley and Rodriguez faced each other in a fatal four-way match for the WWE Women’s World Championship that also featured IYO SKY and champion Stephanie Vaquer. Ripley reportedly suffered a broken nose during the match.

Before departing Japan, Ripley revealed on social media that she, Punk, and Rodriguez got matching tattoos to commemorate the tour.

This isn’t the first time Ripley has gotten matching tattoos with fellow WWE stars. She previously got inked alongside Judgment Day teammates Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest during WWE’s 2023 trip to Puerto Rico for Backlash.

With Ripley now recovering from her broken nose, her status for upcoming shows—including Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1—remains uncertain. But the memories of Japan, and the bond with her fellow Superstars, are clearly going to last.

Rhea Ripley Shows Off Broken Nose After Brutal WWE Match in Japan

Rhea Ripley Shows Off Broken Nose After Brutal WWE Match in Japan

Rhea Ripley just dropped a painful reminder of how real things can get in the squared circle.

The WWE superstar took to Instagram and posted a series of raw, close-up photos showing her face completely bruised and swollen following her recent injury in Tokyo, Japan. The shocking images reveal the full aftermath of a brutal in-ring collision that left her with a broken nose and serious facial trauma.

Ripley’s latest selfies tell the full story—her nose visibly shifted, surrounded by deep purple and red bruising that extend from her eyes down to her cheeks. The photos weren’t edited, polished, or filtered. Just real damage from a night that didn’t go as planned.

The injury happened during a WWE SuperShow at Ryogoku Sumo Hall. Ripley was teaming with Raquel Rodriguez against IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer when Raquel launched IYO through the air. The landing was off, and IYO slammed straight into Ripley’s face. Blood poured instantly, and medical staff quickly removed Ripley from ringside. Despite the gruesome shot, Ripley kept her humor intact, later posting on Twitter, “Thank you Japan 😂 I still love you!”

The situation was far more serious than just a bloody nose, as she actually broke her nose. Still, Ripley didn’t back down. Later that night, she showed up in the main event segment, standing tall next to AJ Styles in what was billed as his final match in Japan. Her presence drew huge support from fans—but the question now is how long she’ll actually be out of the ring.

With Survivor Series just weeks away, there’s growing concern that Ripley might miss the event altogether. WWE hasn’t confirmed anything officially, but a broken nose of this severity could easily keep her benched longer than expected.

Ripley’s decision to post such unfiltered images is a clear message—she’s hurt, but she’s not hiding from it. Rhea Ripley is always a presence you feel when she walks out that curtain. But will that walk happen at Survivor Series? Only time will tell.

Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, & Stephanie Vaquer Return To NXT For Massive Homecoming Match

During the September 9 episode set the stage for Homecoming next week. This included a big surprise. Jacy Jacy took the ring during the final segment of this week’s episode. This included her proclaiming herself as the greatest NXT Women’s Champion of all time, and she wasn’t happy about Homecoming not having Fatal Influence on the card.

Stephanie Vaquer’s music hit after that to interrupt Jacy Jayne’s rant. Then she made it clear that she’s held two titles at the same time as well. She also proclaimed that she will win the WWE Women’s Title at Wrestlepalooza.

At that point, Jacy Jayne cut her off once again and reminded Stephanie Vaquer that she is outumbered. That is when Tiffany Stratton came out to make her presence known. Fans exploded with it became Tiffy Time in the NXT Arena.

Tiffany Stratton had a problem with Jacy Jayne saying she’s the greatest NXT Women’s Champion of all time. Then Jacy called them the “super seniors who try to come back to high school.” At that point, Tiffany Stratton said that she doesn’t think Mami will like being called a super senior.

Rhea Ripley came out next to join them and face off against Fatal Influence. Then a six woman tag team match was booked for Full Sail at Homecoming next week.

We will have to see how WWE books this big time six-woman situation. Homecoming should be very interesting, for sure.

Naomi Retains Women’s World Title After Stealing Victory From Rhea Ripley At SummerSlam 2025

Naomi Retains Women's World Title After Stealing Victory From Rhea Ripley At SummerSlam 2025

The women’s division should proceed with caution.

SummerSlam Saturday brought a big night for fans, and many of them were shocked at the end of the night. One of the big moments included Tiffany Stratton toppling Jade Cargill to retain her title. On night two, it was the other brand’s turn.

Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky both wanted a shot at Naomi’s Women’s World Championship. So, they ended up booking a triple threat encounter at the biggest party of the summer. This saw The Glow defend her title with the odds against her in a big way.

This match had a big fight feel, thanks to the ring introductions from Alicia Taylor. Naomi also had her father help out with her entrance.

After they got going, IYO Sky was taken out of the ring. Then Naomi was able to take control over Rhea Ripley for a bit before the Genius of the Skies came back into the mix. Naomi remained with the upper hand, and then it was Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky’s turn to show off a bit after they took Naomi out of the match.

Fans started to chant “this is awesome” as the match carried on after Naomi got back into the ring. Ripley almost had a pin, but Naomi stopped her. Then it was a fight for control on the outside.

The match carried on, and Rhea Ripley took a moonsault from Naomi and then another from IYO Sky, but they couldn’t end the match. Ripley nailed a Rip Tide on Naomi, and then IYO broke up the pin. This match was one big move after another for a while without any ending.

Eventually, Rhea Ripley nailed a Riptide off the top rope on IYO Sky. Then Noami threw Rhea out of the ring and stole the pinfall to retain the title. She also used the tights to secure the pin.

We will keep a close eye on whatever happens next for WWE’s women’s division as they make their way past another SummerSlam. Only time will tell how things look this time next year, especially with the injection of young talent that fans have seen in recent memory.
