What Happened With Cody Rhodes After WWE RAW Went Off The Air

Cody Rhodes had all the momentum and fan support for the match-up against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately, the American Nightmare couldn’t finish his story on the grandest stage of them all. Having said that, it seems that the next chapter for Cody has already begun.

Cody Rhodes interrupted Roman Reigns in the early moments of RAW to demand a rematch. Paul Heyman said Cody won’t get one. Cody then called for a tag team match against Roman and Solo Sikoa. Brock Lesnar showed up to volunteer as Cody’s partner and the match was set for the main event.

The four competitors meet inside the ring for the main event. Brock shocked everyone when he took out Cody with an F5 before the match could even begin. The Beast then delivered a brutal beat down on the American Nightmare that involved the use of steel chairs, the announcer’s table and steel steps.

Cody Rhodes struggled to get up after the show went off the air. The American Nightmare was surrounded by officials including Adam Pearce and ringside attendants as he dragged himself out of the ring. The crowd cheered for Cody and he, somehow, channeled enough will to walk on his own to the back in the aftermath of the brutal assault at the hands of Brock Lesnar.

The main event most definitely left the WWE Universe speechless and there’s no denying that fans will be looking for answers when RAW returns to the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, next Monday. Click here to check out the card announced so far for RAW next week.
