MJF Says Ring Rats Don’t Mind His Busted Face After AEW Revolution

MJF’s awesome mic work and incredible in-ring talent put credibility on his name as one of the top stars in the business. The Devil proved his doubters and critics wrong with his performance in the main event of AEW Revolution this past Sunday. MJF went the distance with Bryan Danielson in their classic 60-minute Iron Man match. The bout extended into overtime and ultimately led to a submission win for the Devil.

The two men bled buckets during their extremely grueling match for the AEW World Championship, with MJF in particular branded with a nasty forehead and eye contusion by the American Dragon. The AEW World Champion took to Twitter on Thursday to drop a post-Revolution picture of himself. MJF joked that the ring rats “don’t seem to mind” his busted face.

The blood in the hematoma (devil horn) on my forehead has now pooled down into my eye.

Still the champ though and the rats don’t seem to mind.

MJF walked into AEW Revolution with pre-existing physical issues as well. The former leader of The Pinnacle worked the match while still “banged up” from his brawl a couple of weeks ago. Still, the physicality of the brawl didn’t stop from putting on a match of the year contender with Bryan Danielson.

MJF also stirred a debate on social media after he splashed a young fan with tequila at the March 5th pay-per-view event. AEW gave the kid tickets to their show in Sacramento. MJF recalled the incident at the Revolution media scrum. He acted like he blew off Tony Khan’s words about throwing that drink on the young fan.

The AEW World Champion will have his re-Bar Mitzvah to celebrate his 27th birthday on Dynamite next Wednesday. You can check out the card for AEW’s Winnipeg show by clicking the link here.

Speaking of WWE live events, the company is set to return to Madison Square this weekend for a live event. Cody Rhodes is part of the line-up that’ll work the upcoming WWE MSG house show.
