McIntyre is set to battle current World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at the upcoming WWE Clash at the Castle event this weekend in the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, in perhaps one of the biggest matches of his life.

The Scottish Warrior took to his Instagram to announce his arrival in Scotland, breathing the fresh Scottish air. He then announced his plans for the next few days, which included watching a football game, doing media rounds, and being laser-focused on his task of winning the World Championship on Saturday.

NXT Battleground aired a vignette that was followed by an announcement by WWE on Monday that NXT star Eddy Thorpe will make his official return to the brand on the upcoming NXT show.

Thorpe last competed on NXT in December, where he defeated Dijak in an NXT Underground match. Unfortunately, he suffered a hip injury during the bout, sidelining him for the early part of 2024.

Since March, however, Thorpe has been active on house shows and episodes of Level Up, preparing for his return. Eddy Thorpe indeed made his return to tonight’s June 11 episode of WWE NXT, going into a one-on-one showdown against another prospect in Tavion Heights.

The action went back and forth with both competitors, leaving it all inside the squared circle. However, it was the returning Eddy Thorpe who planted Heights head into the mat and secured the win on his first night back in the Black and Gold brand.
