Jey Uso Wins Fatal-4 Way Match For World Championship Opportunity During 4/8 WWE RAW

The RAW after WrestleMania 40 tonight at the Wells Fargo Center in Philidelphia came to a close on a high note with a huge World championship title opportunity that hung in the balance and four of the top RAW superstars battling it out in a massive Fatal-4 Way match to clinch it.

The main event contest pitted Big Bronson Reed, Jey Uso, Ricocher, and the man who held the World Heavyweight Championship for a couple of minutes last night at WrestleMania 40, only to let his ego get the best of him and lose the title to an impromptu Money in the Bank cash-in, Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre was in no mood for games after suffering huge embarrassment at what was supposed to be his moment of glory, while Jey, Bronson, and Ricochet also aimed to get their name inserted into the title match.

The match was extremely fast-paced and delivered highly exhilarating action with all four WWE superstars trying to knock off one another and secure the pinfall with the bout going all over ringside.

However, it was Jey Uso who took advantage of CM Punk emerging from beneath the ring and distracting McIntyre long enough for Jey to superkick him and deliver a spear followed by a Uso splash to secure the pinfall and an opportunity to challenge the new World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest for his title, while Punk struck to his arch-rival for the second time in a row.

WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov Makes Main Roster Debut on 4/8 WWE RAW

WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov Makes Main Roster Debut on 4/8 WWE RAW

The RAW after WrestleMania is always known for the magnanimous aura and presence of the WWE Universe, inducing a different kind of energy along with the sight of some surprises, which also happened on tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW following WrestleMania 40.

As the show kicked off its first in-ring encounter of the night, it featured the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura set to square off against the champion of WWE’s developmental territory, NXT, Ilja Dragunov.

The Mad Dragon has been known to be one of the most remarkable prospects in WWE NXT, who recently defended his NXT championship successfully against Tony D’Angelo at NXT Stand and Deliver as part of the WrestleMania week.

Dragunov went head-to-head against a top-tier star in Shinsuke Nakamura, also a former NXT champion in his own right, and fought valiantly on his first main roster match as the crowd was firmly in his corner. That proved to be an excellent fire to fuel his desire and helped him put down Nakamura with his finishing maneuver to clinch the victory.

With the WWE Draft coming up and Ilja already declared to be a part of it, it will be interesting to see if any of the main roster WWE brands i.e., RAW or SmackDown would put their claim in acquiring the NXT champion for their show.

The Rock Issues Warning to Cody Rhodes on 4/8 WWE RAW

WrestleMania 40 is officially in the history books with Cody Rhodes rising to the occasion and dethroning the dominant Roman Reigns to end the most historic reign of perhaps, all time, win the Undisputed WWE championship, and finish his story.

The American Nightmare came on tonight’s edition of the RAW after WrestleMania 40, after being introduced by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque who opened the show and labeled him as the man to lead the charge of the ‘Renaissance Era’ of WWE with over 20,000 people in attendance for the show.

As Cody Rhodes entered the ring, Triple H informed him and the WWE Universe that the company personnel back in the WWE studios made a special video package encircling his entire journey in the WWE up to the point of finishing the story to commemorate his astonishing title win last night at WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes was visibly emotional after witnessing the video as he hugged Triple H while the crowd rightfully chanted ‘You deserve it.’ Rhodes began his address by reflecting on the events that led to his championship win and dream come true moment, taking a moment to shed love for his daughter and also showing respect for his fallen foe, Roman Reigns, and acknowledging his impressive title reign.

As he rallied the audience, Cody and the WWE Universe were met by the emergence of Roman’s cousin, The Final Boss, who pinned Rhodes on WrestleMania Saturday, The Rock. He confronted Cody Rhodes in the ring while berating the Philidelphia crowd who showered their heat and heckled The Great One as he tried to speak.

The Rock finally began to speak by congratulating Cody Rhodes on his title win, while also expressing his desire of wanting to hold Rhodes’ newly won championship. Rhodes agreed, only if he could hold The Rock’s People’s Championship title, with The Rock also in agreement and they exchanged the titles for a brief moment. As The Rock informed that he would be gone for a while, he let Rhodes know that he would be back for him, and their story was just beginning and ending the segment in a cryptic manner.

The Rock Spotted at WWE RAW After WrestleMania 40 Venue

The Rock Spotted at WWE RAW After WrestleMania 40 Venue

WWE WrestleMania 40 weekend kicked off on a high note for The Rock and The Bloodline with a monumental victory, but the scenario completely flipped twenty-four hours later with the destruction of the Island of Relevancy that The Final Boss was guarding on the road to WrestleMania.

The Rock and his cousin, Roman Reigns emerged victorious over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1 of the show. The outcome of the bout meant that the main event title match between Reigns and Rhodes would be contested under Bloodline Rules, putting The American Nightmare at a huge disadvantage.

The match stipulation heavily favored The Tribal Chief, who saw his Bloodline members including The Rock try and end Cody’s story tragically. But Rhodes’ found a backup in the form of legends like John Cena and The Undertaker to clear the field and connected with three Cross Rhodes on Reigns to end the most historic title reign of the modern era and his story in the way he envisioned it.

Despite his family’s legacy suffering an embarrassing loss on The Grandest Stage of them all, it seems that The Rock still has some unfinished business left as he was spotted outside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the sight of RAW after WrestleMania 40.

With WWE ushering into a new era with Cody Rhodes as the new WWE champion, it will be interesting to see if The Rock shows up and steps up to him to avenge the loss of Roman Reigns at the Showcase of the Immortals the night prior.
