Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik were once inseparable as they saw a lot of success as a tag team but that’s all in the past after Dominik betrayed his father. Fans still wonder if they can ever reunite and now Rey Mysterio has also addressed the same.
Back in 2021, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio made history as the first-ever father/son tag team champions in the company and they truly shined in the tag team division, which is exactly why people still have hope of a possible reconciliation between the two.
While speaking to Peter Rosenberg, Rey Mysterio was asked about the possibility of reconciling with Dominik and becoming a tag team again. Mysterio stated he would love to reconnect and end things on good terms, but he’s not sure if that will happen because people change over time, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. He hopes that one day, Dominik will understand the value of family and the Mysterio legacy.
“That’s something that as a father, they would always to love to have with their kids, to be able to reconnect and end off where you started, on the good side. I don’t know if that’s gonna happen over the years, you know people change, sometimes for good, sometimes for bad. Hopefully one day Dom can see the bright side of being on the Mysterio side and being family overall, but I think that’s gonna be very hard.”
While a reconciliation seems unlikely at the moment, anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling. Only time will tell if Rey and Dominik Mysterio will team up again in the future, as fans haven’t given up hope just yet.
