Karrion Kross Destroys Rumors About Avoiding Back Bumps During WWE Night of Champions Match

Karrion Kross has been facing accusations that he can’t take flat back bumps for a while now. That’s exactly why Kross decided to shut down those accusations in style as he took several bumps during Night of Champions.

During the Night of Champions Premium Live Event, Karrion Kross squared off against Sami Zayn in singles competition. During one big spot in the match, Sami Zayn hit Kross with a huge clothesline while he was on the ropes.

Immediately after this, Karrion Kross took a massive back bump to the outside with an incredibly smooth transition, showing to the world that there was absolutely no truth to him not being able to take back bumps.

This comes after Wade Keller of PWTorch claimed that Karrion Kross might be held back in WWE because he doesn’t like taking bumps. However, several producers who’ve worked with Kross have dismissed that idea, saying he’s never had any problems with his in-ring work. Kross himself also shared positive thoughts about wrestling in Saudi Arabia, where the upcoming Clash of Champions will be held.

I talked about this when he was all the rage in NXT and coming out of TNA. I was like, ‘wrestlers are telling me when he gets to the main roster, nobody’s gonna put up with the fact that he doesn’t take bumps.’ He’s scared to bump. He doesn’t flat back bump. I don’t know if he’s got an injury or a concern.

[Kross] favours one side, which can cause an injury, so I don’t know if he has a pre-existing condition or he’s just not comfortable taking bumps. I don’t know, I don’t have the inside story on that. But I know wrestlers who I chat with about things when I want wrestlers’ insight are like: ‘Oh right, Wade, you’re right when you say Karrion Kross won’t be a big star on the main roster, but one of the reasons you are missing out is just watch his next match. He just doesn’t really take bumps.

It’s not that he’s slow or plodding, or he’s not that tall compared to the rosters in TNA and NXT, where his gimmick kinda he needs to be taller than his opponent to make up for the fact that he’s not creating movement. Lot of things are working against him. But, all that said, I find this current character delightful.”

In the end, Karrion Kross was unable to defeat Sami Zayn but he was able to show fans that he is able to take back bumps and that’s what matters now. As for what’s next for Kross, all we can do is wait and see.

During the Night of Champions kickoff show, Michael Cole talked about CM Punk and John Cena’s upcoming match at Night of Champions. When Cole mentioned Punk, the fans in attendance heavily booed the Second City Saint and this might not come as a surprise to those who know what’s been going on with Punk lately.

This comes after a video of the Second City Saint pushing a young fan who just wanted to take a photo with Punk in Saudi Arabia became viral. A lot of people were really unhappy with the way Punk treated the kid.

That’s not all as CM Punk had been very clear in the past about not supporting WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia. In 2020, he made headlines when he took a shot at The Miz with a harsh remark, saying, “Go suck a blood money covered d*** in Saudi Arabia you f******* dork.”

Regardless, CM Punk has clearly changed his views on Saudi Arabia since he’s already there and going to compete at Night of Champions. Therefore, we’ll have to see how he will fare against John Cena at the Premium Live Event.
