Thunder Rosa was forced to vacate the AEW Women’s World Championship due to an unfortunate injury. Toni Storm took Rosa’s place as interim champion until she too was dethroned by Jamie Hayter at Full Gear.

Jamie Hayter won the title to a deafening reaction from the crowd at the pay-per-view event on Saturday. Hayter won the match with a little assistance from Dr. Britt Baker and Rebel.

The newly-crowned champion joined Tony Khan for the post-Full Gear media scrum. The AEW President was asked about his plans to make Jamie Hayter the undisputed champion.

“It’s a new championship reign, absolutely. I’ve been evaluating that and it’s something that we’re taking into consideration. We’ve given Thunder Rosa every opportunity to come back and defend the championship. It’s been a few months now, and when we get a better timeline for a return we’ll have to figure out whether we continue with interim or we make the interim champion possibly some kind of an opportunity to become the lineal champion.

It remains to be seen what will Tony Khan have in store for Thunder Rosa once she returns to AEW. If anything, Tony Khan has a very important and difficult decision ahead of him.

Jungle Boy squared off against his former tag team partner inside a steel cage at the Full Gear pay-per-view event last night. The match contained plenty of great spots.

Fans noticed the tights Jungle Boy wore for his big match. Many took to social media to draw the comparison between his gear and the one Shawn Michaels wore during his iconic Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker in 1997.

The real-life Jack Perry joined Tony Khan for the post-Full Gear press conference. Jungle Boy revealed why he wore the Shaw Michaels-inspired gear for the match against Luchasaurus.

“There was a bit of a psychological game. Luchasaurus said that was his favorite match, so I figured I would stick it to him and wear the tights and kick his ass.”

Jungle Boy performed an insane dive from the top of the cage all the way through a table with Luchasaurus placed on it. Check out the crazy dive in the clip down below.

Saraya joined Tony Khan for post-Full Gear media scrum. The AEW star admitted she experienced ring rust during her match with Britt Baker. The former Paige praised the D.M.D as well.

“Even with the match today, I was rusty, it’s been 5 years. Every time I go out there I try to give 110%. I did do that. I gave as much as I could. Working with Britt, she’s a star, she’s an absolute star. Long story short, I had to work out a lot and I’m going to continue to do so.”

Saraya revealed when she started taking bumps again as well. It remains to be seen if Saraya is moving away from her feud with Britt Baker. Check out the media scrum in the space below.

Saraya took on Dr. Britt in her return match after five years at the pay-per-view event. The two put on a show for the crowd in attendance. Saraya took a couple of scary-looking bumps during the match as well, and that once again raised concerns about her health.

Saraya joined Tony Khan for the post-Full Gear media scrum. The AEW star revealed when she started taking bumps for her return match against the former AEW Women’s World Champion.

“Luckily, I got to go home to the UK recently, and I went to the Santino Bros. ring in California. Jungle Boy offered me his ring too, but I didn’t get to run there, but I will be going back there and asking him to use his ring. I did do a lot of training. I didn’t try to do a lot of bumping around until I knew my neck was okay, but then it was an everyday thing, like I even had a signing that I had to cancel, because I needed to focus on this, and I was 100% in on this. It did take a lot.”

MJF Wins AEW World Title During Full Gear

MJF failed to beat John Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All Out on September 5th, 2022. Tonight, he was finally able to pin Mox for the richest prize in the promotion, with a little assistance from one of wrestling’s most revered figures.

MJF squared off against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in the main event of Full Gear tonight. The Devil Himself entered the arena to a huge ovation from the crowd.

The closing moments of the match saw MJF and Mox knock the referee. Another referee arrived, and he too got knocked out of action. MJF resisted attacking Mox with his signature ring.

William Regal entered the picture and warned Max against using the ring. Regal asked Mox to get the fallen referee. He then handed Max a pair of brass knuckles, turning heel on Moxley in the process.

Max took advantage of the distraction and hit Mox with the foreign object, becoming the new AEW World Champion in the process. This was a huge win for MJF and fans erupted as they witnessed that huge moment in AEW history.
