WWE is always looking to do something unique when it comes to their big four premium live events. With SummerSlam being the next big PLE after WrestleMania, the company definitely wants to make the biggest party of the summer a success.

We previously reported that this year’s SummerSlam premium live event will emanate from the Detroit’s Ford Field on Saturday, August 5th. Now, we have have our first look at the official WWE SummerSlam 2023 logo.

It seems that WWE is back to using the name of the host cities along their premium live events as this year’s SummerSlam logo has Detroit written alongside it. The official branding reads, WWE SummerSlam Detroit.

The font for SummerSlam 2023 PLE is also different from the ones used in the past, giving it a more old-school feeling. This might resonate with fans who grew up watching the product during the more vibrant eras of WWE.

John Cena versus Logan Paul is a match that could take place at SummerSlam. The match-up was penciled-in for WrestleMania 39 at one point, but was scrapped and the company went with Cena versus Austin Theory and Logan versus Seth Rollins.

It remains to be see what exciting announcements WWE will reveal on the road to SummerSlam 2023. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we will have more from the world of pro wrestling.

Shayna Baszler worked her way up the women’s division in Triple H’s version of NXT, where she reigned supreme as the NXT Women’s Champion for quite a long time. The Queen of Spades made her main roster debut on the February 10, 2020, episode of RAW and the rest was history.

Shayna Baszler returned to her hometown of Sioux Falls in South Dakota for a WWE live event on Sunday. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion tagged with Rhea Ripley against Liv Morgan and Raquel Gonzalez. Shayna got a huge ovation when she got tagged in during the match, but decided to troll her hometown crowd.

A video of the match posted to WWE’s Instagram account showed Shayna entering the ring to a huge ovation after being tagged in by Rhea Ripley. The Queen of Spades fools the crowd into thinking she’s about to wrestle. She then ducks a clothesline from the powerhouse and goes back to tag in Rhea to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance.
