Mercedes Mone has been considered one of the greatest AEW signings by President and CEO Tony Khan. In a short time span, the CEO of women’s wrestling made a huge statement, which has already made her run with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
The former WWE superstar made history by winning the TBS championship at Double or Nothing from Willow Nightingale in her very first match for the company. Mercedes followed it up with a successful title defence against Skye Blue on the AEW Dynamite after the event.
Right after, she was challenged by the NJPW Strong Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, for a showdown at the upcoming AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door in a ‘Title for Title’ match. With just a week away from the blockbuster showdown, a remarkable artefact made for Mone was revealed by her close friend and former WWE superstar Lince Dorado.
Dorado took to his Instagram to drop the first look of a custom-made mask for Mercedes Mone. The mask had a mixed colour scheme complimented with money prints and dollar signs all over it to signify her gimmick and possibly made for her match against Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door.

With The CEO slated for a big match this weekend and getting a special mask made ahead of it, we will have to wait and see if Mercedes Mone dons it as part of her entrance, much like she has done before during one of her matches in Japan.
