The Best in the World’s interference cost McIntyre his shot at the World Heavyweight Championship during the main event against Damian Priest at the OVO Hydro this past weekend.

Standing solemnly in the center of the ring, McIntyre prepared to address what he described as perhaps the most significant defeat of his career. His voice wavered as he attempted to mention CM Punk, visibly struggling to articulate his emotions.

Despite attempts by RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque to persuade him otherwise, McIntyre stormed out of the arena, leaving behind a stunned audience and uncertain future.

WWE Releases Behind The Scenes Look on Seth Rollins' Return to 6/17 WWE RAW

On the June 17 edition of Monday Night RAW in Corpus Christi, Texas, fans were taken by surprise as the former World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins made a triumphant return to WWE television after a long hiatus. The Visionary, absent since WrestleMania 40 due to knee injuries, was met with a roaring ovation from the WWE Universe.

Rollins expressed his excitement at being back and wasted no time in announcing his intention to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship, which he lost at WrestleMania earlier this year.

Interrupting Seth’s declaration, the current champion, Damian Priest, emerged. Fresh off a successful title defence against Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle, Priest acknowledged Rollins’ prowess and even admitted to having to want to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on him than Drew at WrestleMania, purely out of respect, followed by an exchange between the two.

Right after the segment ended, WWE took to their official Instagram to release a behind-the-scenes look at Rollins’ return. The Visionary could be seen as slightly nervous, but hearing his entrance theme song and the roar of the audience, he immediately took off to make his thunderous return.

“Y’all ready for some MONDAY NIGHT ROLLINS? 😉 #WWERaw.”

The segment culminated with Damian Priest offering Rollins a World Title match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Rollins eagerly accepted the challenge.
