The landscape of AEW witnessed a major shocker at the conclusion of a highly enthralling title match on tonight’s AEW Dynasty show between former friends, Roderick Strong and Kyle O Reilly as another of their former allies, Adam Cole joined the festivities.

The two former members of WWE’s Undisputed Era were set to collide in a high-stakes one-on-one showdown with Strong defending his AEW International Championship against O Reilly who recently made his return from injury.

The formidable duo delivered an exceptional match hitting each other with strong attacks, high-risk moves, and maneuvers with the action spilling all over ringside captivating the attention of the audience in attendance for AEW Dynasty.

Despite Kyle O Reilly’s best efforts, Roderick Strong backed by the Undisputed Kingdom faction was able to overcome his former ally and put him down for the three count to retain his title. As Roderick Strong celebrated, the leader of the faction, Adam Cole made his return, spotting sitting in his wheelchair on the entrance stage.

However, much to everyone’s surprise, Cole got up from the chair and headed straight to the ring to congratulate Roderick on his impressive performance while also indicating that he had completely healed up from his injury and was ready to take over the company with his crew.

The duo had been having their run-ins for weeks, additionally, with AEW’s newest signee, Mercedes Mone added to the mix, who had eyes on both of them from backstage during their bout as potential future opponents for her own debut set to take place at AEW’s next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing.

With a money-maker star waiting in the shadows for a one-on-one showdown combined with the AEW TBS championship hanging in the balance, Julia Hart and Willow Nightingale went back and forth against each other in one of the most enthralling bouts of the night.

Both women launched a series of their best attacks, as Willow’s brute strength went up against the technical prowess of Julia Hart. In the end, it was Nightingale who emerged successful in putting down Hart to secure the pinfall and become the new champion.

Solo Sikoa and his newest ally displayed a vicious act of assault on their first target, Kevin Owens as their first act to lead The Bloodline’s charge into the new era.

The Enforcer, donning a completely new look in a smashing suit, came on tonight’s edition of SmackDown alongside The Bloodline’s Wiseman, Paul Heyman to reveal their plans going further. As Paul got emotional in regards to chants thrown at him by the fans, Solo snatched the microphone right off his hands.

Solo Sikoa reflected on the events that transpired last week with the addition of Tama Tonga and outcasting Jimmy Uso from the faction following a vicious beatdown. As Solo introduced his new brother, Tonga threw Kevin Owens from the Gorilla on the stage and joined the newly supposed Tribal Chief in the ring.

As Owens, who was visibly a bloodied mess, was helped to the back, he broke away to go right after Tama Tonga for attacking him before Solo Sikoa also intervened and the numbers game caught up to him despite the security trying to separate them.

Infuriated by Kevin Owens’ actions, Tama Tonga looked to put the exclamation point on Owens by grabbing a steel chair only for General Manager Nick Aldis to stop the attack as he, Solo, and Heyman threw their Ones into the skies and retreated from the scene with Kevin Owens receiving medical attention from the WWE personnel.

Following the end of the segment, Nick Aldis revealed that Tama Tonga deliberately crashed his car into Kevin Owens’ car leading to him being beaten and battered.

To her surprise and that of the audience in attendance, WWE veteran Natalya answered the call. The appearance of the two-time WWE Women’s champion signaled a formidable challenge for Lola, who had been riding high on her perceived dominance in recent weeks.

Unfortunately for Lola Vice, Natalya’s cohort and fellow NXT star, Karmen Petrovich’s interference proved to be a costly distraction, providing Natalya with the opening she needed to execute a decisive roll-up and claim victory.

Since her loss, Lola has Natalya on her trail, most recently costing her the chance to become NXT Women’s Champion against Roxanne Perez who retained her title thanks to a timely assist by Vice. Sensing the brewing tensions, Lola and Nattie are now set to battle each other in an NXT Underground on Week 2 of NXT Spring Breakin.

However, in a video released by WWE on Instagram, Lola Vice issued a warning to Natalya claiming that it was her world she was stepping into and she would find firsthand why her fists have fetched her three knockout victories in her career and she is destined to be number four.

“Natalya … in this wrestling world you are a legend, I ll give you that. But come NXT Underground, you’re entering my world and you’re gonna find out why these fists have three first round knockouts and you are about to be the fourth and when it’s all said and done, I’ll be having laying you flat on your face just like Justin Gaethje.”
