Rusev Breaks Silence After WWE Return and Vows to Fix the Flawed and Arrogant

Rusev Breaks Silence After WWE Return and Vows to Fix the Flawed and Arrogant

WWE fans were already fired up after Rusev’s shocking return on the April 21 episode of Raw, but it turns out the Bulgarian Brute had even more to say—and he made sure the whole world heard him loud and clear.

During the April 28 edition of WWE Raw, a new vignette aired where Rusev looked back at his journey since leaving WWE in 2020. Speaking straight to the camera, Rusev admitted he once had it all, saying he had “a tank at WrestleMania,” but after leaving WWE, he “fell into the abyss.” According to Rusev, it was in that abyss where he “found himself, redeemed himself, and fixed himself.”

Rusev made it clear that he’s not the same man who left the company five years ago. He revealed he had an epiphany and is now “free to crush people because he wanted to,” adding that he plans to “hunt the flawed, the arrogant, and those who waste their talent like I did.” He ended his chilling message by stating he will “hunt, forgive, and fix” his opponents just like he fixed himself.

Rusev’s return has reignited chants of “Rusev Day” across arenas, as fans watched him destroy Otis and Akira Tozawa during his comeback segment on April 21. After his release from WWE in April 2020, Rusev had a brief run in AEW under the name Miro, but he had been absent from television for months before his final appearance at AEW Worlds End on December 30, 2023. He was officially released by AEW in February 2025.

Now back in WWE, it’s clear Rusev is rewriting his story—and this time, it’s on his own brutal terms.

What do you think about Rusev’s new mindset and his mission to “fix” WWE’s roster? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know if you’re ready for the next chapter of Rusev Day!
