Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, & Stephanie Vaquer Return To NXT For Massive Homecoming Match

Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, & Stephanie Vaquer Return To NXT For Massive Homecoming Match

During the September 9 episode set the stage for Homecoming next week. This included a big surprise. Jacy Jacy took the ring during the final segment of this week’s episode. This included her proclaiming herself as the greatest NXT Women’s Champion of all time, and she wasn’t happy about Homecoming not having Fatal Influence on the card.

Stephanie Vaquer’s music hit after that to interrupt Jacy Jayne’s rant. Then she made it clear that she’s held two titles at the same time as well. She also proclaimed that she will win the WWE Women’s Title at Wrestlepalooza.

At that point, Jacy Jayne cut her off once again and reminded Stephanie Vaquer that she is outumbered. That is when Tiffany Stratton came out to make her presence known. Fans exploded with it became Tiffy Time in the NXT Arena.

Tiffany Stratton had a problem with Jacy Jayne saying she’s the greatest NXT Women’s Champion of all time. Then Jacy called them the “super seniors who try to come back to high school.” At that point, Tiffany Stratton said that she doesn’t think Mami will like being called a super senior.

Rhea Ripley came out next to join them and face off against Fatal Influence. Then a six woman tag team match was booked for Full Sail at Homecoming next week.

We will have to see how WWE books this big time six-woman situation. Homecoming should be very interesting, for sure.

#1 Contender For Women’s Tag Team Titles Determined During September WWE NXT

New #1 Contenders for WWE Women's Tag Team Titles Determined During 1/14 NXT

The new #1 contenders will be quite a challenge.

The September 9 edition of WWE NXT was quite an episode as Shawn Michaels and his crew built toward No Mercy. Now we have new #1 contenders.

The NXT episode this week featured a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Elimination Match. The bout pitted Fatal Influence against The Culling and ZaRuca in a high-stakes contest.

Each team fought to outlast the others, with eliminations raising the tension until only one remained standing to claim the opportunity at championship gold. This match went down at the end of the show’s second hour, and it also received some hype throughout the night.

This match went through a commercial break before there was any hint of elimination. Then a miscommunication saw Sol Ruca take Zaria out, and their team was pinned and eliminated. Some time later, Fatal Influence was also eliminated, which put the Culling in the #1 contender spot for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

We will have to see how WWE books this situation, but the Women’s Tag Team Championship has a new #1 contender. Only time will tell if they can dethrone Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair when everything is said and done.

What’s your take on this WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match situation? Do you believe that we will see new champions? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Carmelo Hayes Returns to WWE NXT and Reunites with Trick Williams Ahead of Homecoming Showdown

Carmelo Hayes Returns to WWE NXT and Reunites with Trick Williams Ahead of Homecoming Showdown

During the September 9 episode, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa came out to reflect on a major milestom notne—it’s been ten years since they first teamed up as #DIY. But their nostalgic moment was quickly cut short when Trick Williams stormed out to interrupt. Trick wasted no time throwing shots at the returning duo, claiming “DIY is just jealous because their NXT crew can’t handle mine.”

Then came the twist—Carmelo Hayes made his return to NXT and walked out to stand beside Trick. The former teammates were back together, but the reunion wasn’t without tension.

Before getting down to business, Carmelo had a few things to get off his chest. He took aim at Trick’s bold claims, including the idea that he’s the greatest NXT Superstar of all time. “I’m just here to remind you—rent is due,” Hayes told Williams. “You’ve been squatting in my house.”

Trick tried to walk things back, saying he’ll “squat where I want to,” but the tension lingered. Ciampa jumped in to ask whether this was a fight between “big and little brother,” but Hayes pivoted the conversation—reminding #DIY that they had “one of the worst backstabbing moments in NXT history.”

That’s when Gargano made the challenge, and it was made official: Trick & Melo Gang will face Team #DIY at the NXT Homecoming episode on September 16.

AJ Lee & CM Punk Wrestlepalooza Tag Team Match Booked During 9/8 WWE RAW

AJ Lee & CM Punk Wrestlepalooza Tag Team Match Booked During 9/8 WWE RAW

Wrestlepalooza will include a big return to the ring.

The September 8 edition of WWE RAW went down at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That also included following up on the biggest segment from last week’s SmackDown.

AJ Lee made her return to WWE. It took no time for WWE to get merchandise for CM Punk’s wife back on their site. This week on RAW, they followed up on that.

The show’s second hour kicked off with AJ Lee coming out. She had Becky Lynch’s WWE Women’s IC Title around her waist, since she stole it at the end of her big return segment last week on SmackDown. After getting some big “welcome back” chants, AJ Lee started to introduce herself.

She called herself “your favorite wrestler’s favorite wrestler,” and fans loved hearing it. She spoke about retiring ten years ago, and she apologized for that, but she felt like she accomplished everything she wanted to in pro wrestling. So, she hung up her Chuck Taylors and short jean shorts to go on a journey in life, which included some mental health. She got fans to cheer for therapy, and she said that every day is a fight.

The promo turned to Becky Lynch, and how The Man got physical with CM Punk in the ring. AJ Lee wasn’t cool with Lynch “motor boating” her husband. At that point, Lynch came out to confront her to a sea of boos.

Becky Lynch told AJ Lee that this has nothing to do with her “stank-ass husband.” Lynch wasn’t happy about how AJ Lee had her Women’s IC Title. Lynch said she may need therapy after that, and fans blasted her with “therapy” chants. Then Lynch took off her sunglasses, and we saw the black eye that AJ Lee gave her on SmackDown.

That is when AJ Lee suggested that since Becky Lynch is the GOAT, then she should come and get her title. Then Lynch asked where CM Punk is, and she said that he is hiding behind AJ Lee, who stuck her neck out where it doesn’t belong. At that point, Lynch had Seth Rollins come out. He wanted Lee to give the title back so they can leave that “dump of a city.”

Then, AJ Lee said she will give her the title back if she agrees to a tag team match at Wrestlepalooza. Seth Rollins got in the ring, and he tried to take the title, but AJ Lee kept jumping in front of him. Then CM Punk showed up to run him off. Rollins then agreed at that point, and Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins versus AJ Lee and CM Punk was booked for the September 20 premium live event. So, AJ Lee heaved the Women’s IC Title back at Lynch.

We will have to see what happens next in this storyline. AJ Lee’s return to the scene was certainly exciting. Only time will tell where it all goes from here.

What’s your take on AJ Lee’s return to WWE? Do you think that she will eventually claim a title in the company? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Wrestlepalooza just got bigger.

The September 8 edition of WWE RAW went down at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We’re only a few weeks from the next premium live event, and now we have a new big match for the show.

WWE RAW opened up this week with The Usos coming out as a team. This was the first time we’ve seen them together for a bit, and they were also introduced as The Usos. That is when they took the ring, after entering through the crowd, and they were interrupted by The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker for a back-and-forth promo.

Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso then revealed that they have a match in line at Wrestlepalooza. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker were not too happy to hear about that match, but they were also ready to tear their opponents apart, as always.

The September 8 edition of WWE RAW went down at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We will have to see how this match turns out, because it has a bit of attention from the company already.
