AJ Styles Ruins Dominik Mysterio's Mega Championship Hopes At Triplemania XXXIII

AJ Styles is willing to make a trip to Mexico.

Triplemanía XXXIII went down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. This was a huge night for AAA, because it also marked the first year their yearly show was on WWE’s YouTube channel.

WWE simulcast Triplemania on their YouTube channel in English and Spanish. There was a reason for this, as WWE Superstars dotted practically every match on the card.

El Hijo del Vikingo defended the AAA Mega Championship against Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano in a fatal four-way match. Naturally, a lot of fans paid attention to this big match, especially with the idea that Dirty Dom may win the title.

Dominik Mysterio received the best reception of his career in Mexico City. This match had a lot of ups and downs as nobody wanted to give their opponents an inch. There were tons of high spots and fans were with it until the end. The action spilled to the outside of the ring, where the announce table was taken down. At that point, there was no English announce team for a while as the match continued.

Dirty Dom used his Judgment Day friends to help him gain an upperhand, but it didn’t help him win without a fight. Eventually, the LWO ran down to fight off Finn Balor and JD McDonagh while the match continued.

The English commentary returned as chaos erupted at ringside. Other El Grande Americanos showed up to distract for him, but Dragon Lee was able to kick out. This match continued after Dragon Lee took control, but his pinning attempt was broken up. Then Vikingo nailed a 630 splash, but he didn’t get the win. Then Dominik nailed a splash, but the referee was pulled out of the ring. Suddenly, someone in a mask showed up to stop the pinfall. Then AJ Styles revealed himself under the mask, he hit a Styles Clash on Mysterio and then Vikingo hit his splash to get the win.

We will have to see what is next for AAA and WWE relationship. News of WWE acquiring the popular Mexican pro wrestling company. Only time will tell how much attention this relationship gives AAA in the months to come, but Triplemania was quite a show.

Natayla Snaps After Suffering Loss In AAA Reina de Reinas Championship Match At Triplemania XXXIII

Natayla Snaps After Suffering Loss In AAA Reina de Reinas Championship Match At Triplemania XXXIII

The women of AAA brought it all to the table.

Triplemanía XXXIII went down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The night was full of WWE and AAA crossover matches, including a few that had titles on the line.

Natayla has proven herself as a WWE Superstar for over a decade at this point. Tonight in Mexico, she had quite a match as she challenged for one of the company’s biggest championships.

The AAA Reina de Reinas Championship match featured Flammer defending her title against Faby Apache and Natalya. The three competitors faced each other in a single contest for the championship.

This match went down second to last on the card. Each woman in the match wanted to make sure that they walked away as champion. Fans were also very much behind the contest as everyone got a near fall by the end of the match. In the end, Flammer retained her title by getting a pinfall. After the match, Natalya snapped a bit and there was a shoving match with Faby Apache as she took out her frustrations.

We will keep a close eye on what happens next in this situation. You never know what can happen in pro wrestling, and AAA certainly brought everything to the table to capture attention tonight.

Konnan Seemingly Ejects Fan From Building During Triplemania AAA Hall of Fame Speech

Konnan Seemingly Ejects Fan From Building During Triplemania AAA Hall of Fame Speech

Konnan’s AAA Hall of Fame induction went as smoothly as one can expect.

Triplemanía XXXIII went down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The night included a big moment for Konnan as well.

Although Konnan has never made his way into the WWE Hall of Fame, the famous Mexican wrestler was honored by AAA tonight at Triplemania XXXIII. He also received a great introduction by Rey Mysterio Jr.

Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr go back decades as the two have a long lasting family-like bond. Therefore, it only made sense that Mysterio, a WWE and AAA Hall of Famer himself, was a part of Konnan’s induction.

Ring announcer Jesus Zuñiga introduced Rey Mysterio for the AAA Hall of Fame ceremony. Rey entered, gave a speech in Spanish, and introduced Konnan as the newest Hall of Fame inductee.

A video package showed Konnan’s career in WWE, WCW, and AAA. Rey brought him out, and Konnan thanked the crowd. He said it took 30 years to receive the honor and thanked Antonio Peña, Perro Aguayo, and Rey Mysterio. This was a touching moment for pro wrestling fans who remember Konnan’s influential time in the ring.

It also appeared that Konnan threw out a fan at ringside who said something he didn’t like. After Konnan took care of that business, he continued his promo for the fans in Mexico City.

We will have to see if Konnan ever makes his way back to WWE for any reason. He sat in on the Triplemania broadcast booth tonight, and he had quite a good time alongside Corey Graves and JBL. He also had a great moment in the spotlight.

What’s your take on Konnan receiving this honor in AAA? Do you believe that it is long overdue? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Los Garzas Lose AAA Tag Team Titles In Brutal Triplemania XXXIII Street Fight

Los Garzas Lose AAA Tag Team Titles In Brutal Triplemania XXXIII Street Fight

The AAA Tag Team Title match was an extreme match.

Triplemanía XXXIII went down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The night was full of action, especially when titles were on the line.

Los Garzas surprised a lot of fans when they won the AAA Tag Team Championships. They have been rocking those titles on WWE television since then, but tonight they put them on the line in a big way.

The Street Fight for the AAA World Tag Team Championship saw Berto and Angel defend their titles against Pagano and Psycho Clown. Naturally, fans were in for a violent match with a street fight stipulation at Triplemania.

This match had a ton of attention during the night as two of AAA’s top babyfaces went after the hated Garzas. The contest also went third to last on the card, putting the three biggest title matches on top of the show. Fans were more than ready to see this tag team chaos take over.

This match was full of weapons, including chairs, barbed wire, belts, and plenty of stiff strikes. The Garzas played the roles of heels perfectly as they tried their best to keep the challengers’ pace down, however, their painted foes kept fighting back. There were more than a couple near falls as the match continued.

This match was full of high spots. At one point, both challengers were put through two tables that they set up at ringside in an explosive spot. They continued from there after another near fall. Pagano showed up and surprised Berto by wrapping him in it as he sat on the top rope. Then Pyscho Clown got on the top rope and nailed a top rope Spanish Fly to win the match and the titles. After that, the Pyscho Circus ran to the ring to celebrate.

We will keep a close eye on AAA and WWE’s relationship from this point on. The fact that WWE is sharing so many stars with the popular Mexican pro wrestling company is something Vince McMahon never pulled off. Only time will tell how WWE’s open for business strategy will help usher along more situations like this.

What’s your take on WWE and AAA sharing stars for big pay-per-view matches? Do you think this keeps things fresh for everyone involved? Let us know what you think i the comments section!

El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr Follows Family Legacy With Latin American Title Win At Triplemania XXXIII

El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr Follows Family Legacy With Latin American Title Win At Triplemania XXXIII

The family tradition continues.

Triplemanía XXXIII went down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The Latin American Title match was certainly a standout slot on the card.

The Latin American Championship match featured El Mesías defending his title against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. The two wrestlers competed in a single contest for the championship.

This was said to be a generational championship match, as El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr’s father once saw El Mesías as one of his most heated rivals. Now, the two were set to battle on AAA’s biggest stage with Dorian Rodan in the champion’s corner.

This match saw El Mesías and Dorian Rodan playing the uber heels, as El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr had the crowd well behind him. His famous father, Dr. Wagner Jr, also stood at ringside to cheer his son on. At one point, El Mesías dragged his challenger to ringside so he could rip his mask in front of his father to get even more heat.

Eventually, Dorian Rodan got involved in the match enough so Dr. Wagner Jr jumped the barricade to take him out. The match continued from there, where El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr was able to win the match after landing a second Wagner Driver. This was quite a win as he followed in his father’s legendary footsteps.

AAA has brought outstanding lucha libre action for a long time. Some WWE fans may not have checked out the company until tonight, but the Latin American Championship certainly gave fans a chance to see what AAA has to offer.

WWE Superstar Otis Makes In-Ring Return During TripleMania XXXIII

WWE Superstar Otis Makes In-Ring Return During TripleMania XXXIII

Otis is back in action.

Triplemanía XXXIII took place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The event opened with the Bardahl Cup battle royal, and one of the biggest stories of the night when it comes to WWE was the return of Otis.

Otis entered the match in the ninth spot, making his AAA debut. The super heavyweight had been out of action since May 5, when he wrestled Rusev on WWE RAW.

The former Alpha Acaedmy star underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery during that time, which kept him off the active roster. His appearance in Mexico marked his first match back since the procedure. This was a big surprise for fans, to say the least. A bigger surprise was when Microman was able to eliminate him via pinfall.

Otis’ comeback adds to the growing crossover between WWE and AAA, as both companies continue to share talent on major shows. We will have to see how WWE is able to re-work Otis into things, but he certainly seemed ready to rumble in Mexico.

What’s your take on Otis’ return to the ring? Do you think that he has a title run in him once he gets back to action in WWE? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Drew McIntyre Accuses WWE Of Hiding Cody Rhodes’ Injury Status

Drew McIntyre Accuses WWE Of Hiding Cody Rhodes’ Injury Status

Drew McIntyre has a lot to say about Cody Rhodes.

WWE SmackDown was located at the TD Garden in Boston for their August 15 episode. Drew McIntyre was on hand to really speak his mind about last week.

Drew McIntyre ended SmackDown last week by putting Cody Rhodes through the announce table. However, he did so by literally kicking Cody’s head through the base of it, splintering the desk in a way we’ve never seen before.

This week on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre was on hand to follow up on that segment. Prior to the Scottish Psychopath coming out, they revealed that there is no medical update on Cody Rhodes’ status.

McIntyre got right to saying that people have asked him all week why he Claymore Kicked Cody’s head through the announce table. Then they played the clip for good measure. Then Drew said that he didn’t attack Cody.

After that, Drew McIntyre said that management could be hiding Cody Rhodes’ medical update. He suggested that the American Nightmare may be out of action for a long time and WWE doesn’t want that information out there.

After declaring that he has earned a WWE World Heavyweight Title shot, Drew McIntyre said that Cody needs the championship, because he’s nobody without his story. Then Drew brought it “full circle” by saying that he didn’t attack Cody last week, instead Rhodes attacked him. He then walked everyone through the “crime scene” to explain his actions.

After declaring that he is the “real nightmare,” Drew McIntyre threw the microphone down and said, “get well soon,” to the camera. Only time will tell what happens here, but Drew is still very much after Cody Rhodes’ title.

What’s your take on how this promo turned out for Drew McIntyre? Do you think he took a course in gas lighting? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Sami Zayn has a new home in WWE.

WWE SmackDown was located at the TD Garden in Boston for their August 15 episode. The show opened up with Sami Zayn making a big announcement about his future in WWE.

Solo Sikoa and his MFTs opened up SmackDown this week. After running through a list of people that they’ve squashed in recent memory, Sami Zayn came out. There were also some “We Want Kross” chants present.

The Underdog from the Underground made it clear that he has never been WWE United States Champion, and he wants to change that. Then Solo Sikoa mocked him because he was on the wrong brand.

That is when Sami Zayn announced that he is the newest member of the SmackDown brand. Now, Zayn is on the correct brand to give Solo Sikoa a lot of trouble.

After that, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out to welcome Sami Zayn to the blue brand. He also booked a main event match for Zayn, Jimmy Uso, and Jacob Fatu, and against three members of the MFTs.

We will have to see how this pans out for Sami Zayn on the SmackDown roster. He’s certainly done a lot in WWE, and he’s not finished making waves.

'We Want Kross' Sign Appears at AEW Collision Tapings in Cincinnati, Ohio

Karrion Kross is wanted in AEW.

AEW is bringing Collision to the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio this week. Fans on hand want to see a lot of things, including Karrion Kross.

The former WWE Superstar is now a free agent. Killer Kross made it clear what happened with his contract, as he felt that WWE didn’t take those talks seriously.

The end of Karrion Kross’ time in WWE was interesting. WWE was allegedly concerned that fans would boo Sami Zayn beating him in clean fashion. In the end, Kross’ contract expired, along with Scarlett, and they were both put into the free agency pool.

We will have to see if this fan outcry gets to Tony Khan. Only time will tell if TK books Kross for anything, or what his plan may be. At this point, you never know who might show up in AEW.

Samoa Joe is back in AEW.

The August 13 episode of AEW Dynamite went down at the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This week’s episode saw Samoa Joe return to in-ring action in the main event. Joe led The Opps against Dralistico, The Beast Mortos, and Rush in a six-man tag team match.

This was quite a match to hype the upcoming Forbidden Door event. After all, the contest was a cross-promotional, and it was also one that fans may argue could be worthy of a pay-per-view environment. In the end, the Opps won with their AEW Trios Titles raised high.

Samoa Joe’s last match before tonight took place on December 7, 2025, at AEW All In Texas, a pay-per-view event.
