Goldberg Delivers Emotional Speech After Final Match At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Goldberg Delivers Emotional Speech After Final Match At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

The July 12 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event went down at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Goldberg was on hand for his final made, and he also got to say goodbye.

After his final match, Goldberg had some people to thank. WWE went to commercial break in a hurry after the match, but they returned from break to show the WWE Hall of Famer in the ring with some very close friends and family.

Goldberg thanked everyone for their support. He also thanked the city of Atlanta. He said he wouldn’t have been able to do this without their support throughout the years. It was a very emotional moment as he said goodbye.

Only time will tell what Goldberg does next in his career. He is done in the ring, so that opens the door for a lot of other things. He’s also made plenty of money in his life, so he doesn’t really need to work at all at this point.

Goldberg ending his career does close a big book in history. Nobody will every rack up the undefeated streak like he did, but he is also the product of a very interesting period of pro wrestling history, one that needed a guy just like him.

What’s your take on Goldberg wrapping up his career in Atlanta like this? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Goldberg’s In-Ring Career Comes To An End In Dramatic Fashion During WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Goldberg's In-Ring Career Comes To An End In Dramatic Fashion During WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

The July 12 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event went down at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. That was a historic night for a WWE Hall of Famer as Goldberg wrestled his last match.

Goldberg’s Last Ride went down in a match against GUNTHER with the WWE Word Heavyweight Championship on the line. Atlanta was a fitting location since Goldberg’s first choice of Israel didn’t pan out.

This match went on last, and fans were more than ready for it. Chants of “GOLDBERG” rang out in the building as he received one more classic Goldberg entrance. His son, Gage Goldberg, also walked alongside him backstage.

Lilian Garcia was on hand to make sure this contest received a big fight feel with her ring introductions. They also had microphones lowered from the rafters for old-school effect.

This match got started slow as fans chanted for Goldberg. Charles Robinson, who was the referee for Goldberg’s big win over Hollywood Hogan so many years ago, also officiated this contest. After feeling each other out, GUNTHER nailed a couple chops, but Goldberg no-sold them before he started his offense.

GUNTHER went to the top rope, but Goldberg slammed him down. Then GUNTHER powered out of the ring instead of eating a spear. Goldberg followed GUNTHER outside the ring to clobber him a bit at ringside. Suddenly, GUNTHER dodged a spear from Goldberg which sent the WWE Hall of Famer through a barricade.

GUNTHER was eventually able to take control of the match, but Goldberg started to fight back when they returned from commercial break. Goldberg accidentally speared Charles Robinson instead of GUNTHER, and that was a real turning point of the match. Robinson was out and that gave GUNTHER a chance to take control.

Goldberg’s knee became GUNTHER’s new target as he tore away at his knee brace. That led to GUNTHER using the protective brace as a weapon on his opponent. GUNTHER made his way out of the ring and he got in Gage Goldberg’s face before he shoved him.

Gage Goldberg jumped the barricade and security got him out of there. Then GUNTHER got back in the ring just in time to eat a spear from Goldberg, but there was no referee to count. Goldberg went for the Jackhammer, which he hit. Charles Robinson was still out of commission, so a new referee ran down. Goldberg wasn’t able to get the pin right away, so GUNTHER kicked out.

Suddenly, GUNTHER locked on a sleeper hold on Goldberg. After a bit of a struggle, the WWE Hall of Famer went to sleep and the referee called for the bell.

Tonight marks the end of an era. From his explosive debut in WCW to an unprecedented 173-match winning streak, Goldberg became a force of nature in professional wrestling. Across WCW, WWE, and even brief stints in other promotions, Goldberg built a legacy on raw power and unstoppable momentum. He also made a habit of knocking himself silly on his dressing room door, which created many meme-worthy moments.

We will have to see what the future holds for Goldberg, but tonight was his night in Atlanta. Win or lose, Goldberg went out like he wanted as a true living legend.

Seth Rollins Match Ends Early After Injury Scare During WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Seth Rollins Match Ends Early After Injury Scare During WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

WWE brought Saturday Night’s Main Event to Atlanta, Georgia’s State Farm Arena. Nearly 12,000 fans were in the building, and they saw Seth Rollins in a bad state.

Seth Rollins and LA Knight took on each other in Atlanta, but the match didn’t end well at all. The two wrestled for a bit, but then Seth landed on both feet off a flip, but his knee gave out.

Rollins laid in the corner for a moment as the ringside doctor came to tend to him. The match was paused for a minute, but then Rollins told the doctor he could wrestle. The match didn’t last much longer at all.

Seth Rollins walked directly into a BFT from LA Knight, and then he took a pinfall. Knight won the match, but his celebration was a quick one. The attention immediately went to Rollins as officials had to help him to the back. This could be a work, which would be great news for everyone. After all, you never know what could be real or part of the show in pro wrestling sometimes.

This is terrible timing for Seth Rollins to get injured, if he is legit hurt. He is Mr. Money in the Bank, and you have to know he’s figured into Triple H’s creative plans. Only time will tell what happens next, but Rollins’ injury is not what WWE had on their bingo card at all.

We will update this story as new information is made available. Please keep checking back with updates from Ringside News.

Jacob Fatu Makes Surprise Return After United States Title Match During Saturday Night’s Main Event

Jacob Fatu Makes Surprise Return After United States Title Match During Saturday Night's Main Event

Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12 took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. There were many reasons for fans to tune into the long-running WWE primetime show on network television, and Jimmy Uso was hoping to walk out as a champion.

Solo Sikoa has been a real problem since he beat Jacob Fatu for the United States Title. Now his own brother, Jimmy Uso, has stepped up to stop him. This match went second of the night, after Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton went to war and Jelly Roll suffered a Claymore Kick.

After 15 years in WWE, this marked Jimmy Uso’s first-ever singles title match in the company. He started things with a ton of momentum as the Atlanta fans cheered him on and chanted “Uce-O!”

The two legit brothers fought through a commercial break and they ended up on the apron. After a back-and-forth, Big Jim put Solo on the back of his neck with a suplex onto the hardest part of the ring.

The match continued as they traded momentum, and there were also some near falls along the way. After a skirmish with the MFTs getting involved, Solo Sikoa stole the match with a quick roll-up pin.

After the match was over, the MFTs slid in the ring to continue the assault on Jimmy Uso. Solo Sikoa watched on, loving every moment of the attack. Then the MFTs held Jimmy Uco as Solo nailed a Samoan Spike on his older brother. Suddenly, Jacob Fatu’s music hit and he made his big return as Solo Sikoa celebrated.

It’s been a few weeks since Jacob Fatu was around, after the MFTs powerbombed him through the announce table. Fatu got in the ring with all gas and no brakes as he dog walked the MFTs out of the ring. This was quite a return, and it’s anyone’s guess where Fatu is going to go from here.

We will keep an eye on this story, because it will likely eventually bring Roman Reigns back into the picture. After all, Solo Sikoa keeps bringing up the OTC, and that will probably come back to bite him in the end. We do know that the Samoan Werewolf is back.

What’s your take on Solo Sikoa’s booking at this point? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

WWE’s NXT brand brought the Great American Bash for fans on Saturday afternoon, and it was worth tuning in for. Atlanta, Georgia’s Center Stage played host for the show, and they saw a hard-hitting NXT Title match.

At The Great American Bash, Oba Femi defended the NXT Championship against Yoshiki Inamura. This match saw the NOAH alum get a quick push to the top of the roster, but he also made for a formidable opponent to Femi.

Josh Briggs, Yoshiki Inamura’s best friend in NXT, was at ringside for the match. Naturally, there was a hype video, with tons of fans paying attention to what the two brought to the table. The match also had a big-fight feel thanks to the expert ring introductions from Mike Rome.

This match was a course in hard-hitting action. As Big E once put it, they were two big meaty men slapping meat, and fans in Atlanta were all about it.

The two men threw everything they could at each other, and fans chanted “this is awesome.” Then the referee was accidentally taken out eventually Yoshiki pulled off a splash from the top that should have seen him win the match, but no referee was around. Josh Briggs tried to get Yoshiki to use a chain on Trick, but he didn’t. Then, Williams nailed a chokeslam to regain control of the match.

There were a few close near falls from Yoshiki, but then Oba Femi nailed a Fall From Grace to retain the NXT Title. The Ruler is still top dog in NXT.

We will keep a close eye on the NXT brand, because now, more than ever, it has become a must-watch product. Only time will tell how they are able to top this, but Shawn Michaels and company have made a trend of doing just that.

TNA World Title Contract Signing Ends With Brutal Ambush Attack During NXT Great American Bash

TNA World Title Contract Signing Ends With Brutal Ambush Attack During NXT Great American Bash

WWE’s NXT brand presented the Great American Bash on Saturday afternoon from Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. One of the many reasons to tune in included a contract signing for an upcoming TNA pay-per-view main event match.

At the Great American Bash, Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana took part in a contract signing for their upcoming TNA World Championship match at Slammiversary. Naturally, fans were expecting things to escalate quickly.

At NXT Battleground, Trick Williams defeated Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship. This was the first time a TNA title changed hands at a WWE event, and the first time a WWE wrestler held a TNA championship. History was made, and Trick Williams was in rare form.

Trick Williams mocked TNA and called it “TrickNA.” He defended the title against both TNA and NXT challengers. After a match against Josh Briggs, Hendry returned and attacked Williams. Mike Santana also demanded a title shot, so TNA Director Santino Marella later announced the Slammiversary match would be a triple threat.

Ava was on hand in the ring on behalf of TNA Director of Authority, Santino Marella to officiate the contract signing. Santana made his way to the ring through the crowd, but Hendry and Williams went for their usual entrance. TNA President Carlos Silva was also there, and he looked happy during Trick’s music.

Santana started off, as he talked about how much the TNA World Title means to him. He also said that we will find out at Slammiversary if Trick Williams is all sizzle and no steak. He also stated, that while he respects Joe Hendry, he is still in Santana’s way.

Joe Hendry threw some shade at everyone in the match, and fans said that they believe. Then Trick Williams was able to close things out as he declared that he is carrying two brands on his back, and he also claimed to be the sizzle and the steak.

As Trick Williams started to leave, Joe Hendry stopped him. He told Trick that Santana and himself don’t agree with a lot, but the TNA World Title is coming home with a TNA wrestler at Slammiversary and that Williams talks too much. Then Hendry and Santana ganged up on Trick and put him through a table to pose with the title.

Suddenly, Dark State showed up out of nowhere. Trick Williams was able to scramble out of the ring, but Joe Hendry and Mike Santana were not as lucky. The TNA wrestlers took a beat down from the NXT stable as fans looked on in shock.

WWE’s NXT brand held the Great American Bash on Saturday afternoon. The event took place at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. Fans watched matches featuring talent from the NXT roster. The venue served as the location for the full event card.

Ethan Page defended the NXT North American Championship against Ricky Saints in a Falls Count Anywhere match. This match was a long time coming, as the two also shared a locker room in AEW once upon a time, not too long ago.

This match went down fourth of the night, right after Sol Ruca retained the NXT Women’s North American Title. Then it was time for this brutal and unforgiving bout. The two got started fast and kept that intensity.

The two men fought all around the Center Stage arena, even around the concourse area where fans were standing around. Then they finally made their way to ringside, where chairs were used and fans chanted for tables.

Those two gave fans far more than they asked for, as the barricade was even brought into the ring and used as a weapon. Then four chairs were stacked up as they moved to the top and teased a big move, which became Ricky Saints nailing a powerbomb on Page through the chairs for a close near fall.

The two moved to the loading dock area next, and they fought through some dressing rooms. Jasper Troy was shoved in the process, and he slammed Ricky Saints into a road case and sent him for a ride. Then Page took advantage and threw Saints back into the ring. They kept going and things escalated into Page nailing an Ego’s Edge through a table on Saints to win and retain his title.

We will have to see what happens next, because the NXT North American Championship has certainly seen a ton of great matches. Only time will tell what the future holds, but we know who will carry the championship for now.

Both competitors exchanged offense throughout the contest, each working to gain the advantage. The match ended with one competitor securing the win and holding the championship.

This match went on third of the night, and everyone in the match had a chance to shine. Fans in Atlanta wanted to see history made, since no NXT Championship title has changed hands in the city before. That being said, Sol Ruca had a very large percentage of fans behind her.

The two competitors turned the match into a hard-hitting contest, even though some fans may not have expected that. Despite everything that Izzi Dame threw at Sol Ruca, the champion kicked out. After Tatum Paxley caused a disruption, Zaria took care of her. Then Ruca nailed a Soul Snatcher on Dame to pick up the clean win and retain her title.

Sol Ruca has been quite busy, and she will also be on hand at WWE Evolution as part of the four-way match for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Only time will tell where she will be in a year from now, but she is certainly on the rise.
