Mercedes Mone got her first title shot since her debut in AEW against Willow Nightingale with the TBS Championship on the line at AEW Double or Nothing. After being away from the ring for months now, Mone entered the squared circle for the first time in more than a year, with a massive opportunity ahead of him.
However, the biggest problem for her would be the champion, Willow Nightingale, who has been pretty wild for years. Her run as the TBS Champion has been phenomenal, building a massive name for herself.
An action-packed match between both women kicked off with the CEO of WWE running around, trying to get an easy win over Nightingale. With numerous hard-hitting spots throughout, the match ended up in Mercedes Mone’s favour with a new TBS Champion crowned.
With Mone crowned as a new champion, she has a lot to do to build her own brand in AEW in the next few weeks. However, the biggest mystery for now would be the future of the new champion with a lot of opportunities opening up for her.
