MJF & Hurt Syndicate Speed Closer Toward Split During 7/23 AEW Dynamite

MJF & Hurt Syndicate Speed Closer Toward Split During 7/23 AEW Dynamite

The July 23 episode of AEW Dynamite went down at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. MJF’s time with the Hurt Syndicate also started to show some real cracks this week.

During AEW Dynamite this week, it was revealed that Cope hired the Hurt Syndicate to help him fight off FTR. After all, Adam Copeland is banned from touching Dax and Cash.

Later on, MJF seemingly had an issue with the Hurt Syndicate working with Cope. He argued that it took him months to get the thumbs up, and he didn’t think a Cope team was a good idea.

At that point, Bobby Lashley erupted at MJF. He told the Salt of the Earth that he wants him out of the faction. At that point, Shelton Benjamin and MVP also left without saying anything to MJF.

The whole time, MJF tried to talk to the Hurt Syndicate about this decision. Nothing was made official, but Lashley, the man who was the last to give MJF a thumbs up, has now been the first to declare he should be out of the faction.

Only time will tell what happens next, but MJF’s story in AEW is not over by a long shot. This Hurt Syndicate drama is certainly interesting.

What’s your take on this new development for MJF? Is he better off on his own? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Ospreay took to the ring during the end of the show’s first hour, and he got right to business by revealing that he was having neck issues prior to All In: Texas. He didn’t tell anyone about it, because he wanted to get them “over the finish line.”

Will Ospreay made promises that he would be a part of getting the AEW World Title off Jon Moxley, and they did just that. In the end, he also paid the price.

Then Will Ospreay revealed that he was rushed to the ER after the Death Riders attacked him. He has two herniated discs going into his spinal cord, but his doctors said it is treatable.

Ospreay then said that he should hopefully be back by Forbidden Door. AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 will be held on August 24, 2025, at The O2 Arena in London, England. We will have to see what Will Ospreay will be able to do at the event.

Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman Dive Into Complicated History In Explosive Closing Segment During 7/21 WWE RAW

Roman Reigns & Paul Heyman Dive Into Complicated History In Explosive Closing Segment During 7/21 WWE RAW

The July 21 episode of WWE RAW went down in Houston, Texas’ Toyota Center. This was a big night for the red brand, and we saw a lot of action.

Roman Reigns made his big return during last week’s WWE RAW. That being said, he was on hand this week to address Paul Heyman, his former Wise Man.

Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker made their way to the ring for the final segment of the show this week. They didn’t get very far before Roman Reigns came out to interrupt them. He received a massive OTC chant from the fans in Houston as well.

After saying that he didn’t want to be disrespectful or rude, fans booed Paul Heyman and sent “asshole” chants his direction. Fans didn’t let Paul Heyman speak, because of all the OTC chants and constant booing.

Paul Heyman explained that Seth Rollins is going to be out of action, and fans chanted “shut the f*ck up!” Heyman told Reigns that “we can fix this,” because there is a leadership vacuum without Rollins around. Then Heyman said that, deep in his heart, Roman knows that they are stronger together, and they will always be family. Heyman then said that he loves Reigns as his Tribal Chief before the OTC took the microphone.

Roman Reigns responded by saying that Paul Heyman isn’t a Wise Man anymore, he’s “just a dumbass.” Then Roman told Breakker to take it easy, before he warned that Heyman will someday dump him after taking all the credit. Reigns then said that Heyman had a part in making him a champion, but he didn’t help keep him as champion, it was the Usos, Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn. In the end, Roman lost that title, even though it only took him four years to do so.

Roman Reigns said that Paul Heyman can’t re-create the Bloodline. Then he warned Bron Breakker to back up once again as fans barked at him. This is when Roman revealed what really bothers him is that Heyman used to be a friend and business partner, but Roman made him a part of the family only to have him throw it all away for CM Punk and then Seth Rollins.

Then Roman Reigns declared that he didn’t ruin the Bloodline, “this dumbass did,” as he referred to Paul Heyman. Bron Breakker took the microphone at that point and told Roman that “we don’t want you here anymore,” because “you’re old news.” Bron said that he knows Paul Heyman won’t stab him in the back, because he has value, but Roman is worthless. Breakker said he’s the future in WWE and he’s the man. At that point, Breakker told Roman to do what he does best, “turn around and leave.” Roman replied that he didn’t hear anything Bron just said, so he gave him his microphone before taking him out with a Superman Punch. Then Bronson took a shot before Breakker blindsided Roman Reigns. Then Jey Uso ran out for the save to help his cousin out.

RAW ended this week after Jey Uso helped Roman Reigns run off Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. This was quite a return for the OTC to the red brand, as Reigns still rules the red brand.

We will keep a close eye on Roman Reigns at this point. After all, he is back, and he has a lot of business to take care of.

What’s your take on Roman Reigns’ return to WWE at this point? How would you book his return to the company’s television product? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Trick Williams Fakes Injury to Retain TNA World Title at Slammiversary

TNA’s Slammiversary 2025 lit up the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. A lot of attention was on the pay-per-view, including the TNA World Title match

During the Slammiversary event, Trick Williams put his TNA World Title on the line against two TNA stars. Joe Hendry and Mike Santana both entered into the contest hoping to make an impression and walk out as champion.

This match received a big fight feel with special entrances. All three competitors had a reason to win this match, but Mike Santana had the most pressure. Not only did Santana want to claim the TNA World Title from an NXT Superstar, but he also wanted to win the gold in his home state.
