MJF Destroys Roderick Strong’s Arm in Post-Match Assault at AEW Full Gear

MJF Destroys Roderick Strong’s Arm in Post-Match Assault at AEW Full Gear

The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey played host to AEW Full Gear 2024. There were a few key matches on the card, but not all the high profile confrontations had a title on the line. This was certainly the case for MJF vs Roderick Strong.

Adam Cole and MJF have a lot of history, and the former NXT Champion wanted to pick things up where they dropped off after his WrestleDream 2024 return. Sadly for him, MJF had other plans.

Although Adam Cole wanted a shot at MJF, that didn’t happen. The Salt of the Earth set up a gauntlet, meaning that the first wrestler who racked up three wins would get a match against him. In the end, Roderick Strong got that third win before Cole, which set up a Full Gear match with a lot of underlying tension.

This match went on second during AEW Full Gear 2024, right after Private Party defied the odds to retain their AEW World Tag Team Titles. As soon as the bell sounded, MJF rolled out of the ring to cut a promo instead of locking up with Roderick Strong. He called Strong “white trash,” just like everyone in the New Jersey arena. Then Strong went out to stop him, which included chasing MJF up and back down the entrance ramp.

This was a back-and-forth contest as the fans were strongly behind Roderick Strong, especially after MJF called them all “white trash.” Strong executed exceptional ability, as he hit some signature suplexes and they slowed things down to settle into the match.

MJF gained control of the match after putting his heel into Strong’s face, but then Roddy hit one of his famous backbreakers for a two count. They continued and MJF’s chest was eventually beat red with chops, as Roddy took control again and locked in a Boston crab, but he couldn’t hold onto it.

Roderick Strong almost got a pinfall, but MJF was able to get his foot on the ropes. The match continued as fans pulled for Roddy, but MJF kept in the fight. Roddy nailed a backbreaker, gut buster, and a sliding knee to MJF’s face before the Salt of the Earth countered with a brainbuster to lay them both out.

Then MJF latched on a submission hold and Roddy had no choice but to tap out. This was a strong performance from MJF, as he left New Jersey as the winner, but he wasn’t done after that. MJF went to get a chair, and he brought it back in the ring. Then he wedged Roddy’s arm in the chair before he stomped on it to shatter his arm. That is when Adam Cole came running out, which caused MJF to run off through the crowd.

The rest of the Undisputed Kingdom came out to check on Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly shoved Adam Cole to the mat. Then he helped Roddy leave. It appears that there are issues, but O’Reilly was the one who begged Cole to drop his crusade against MJF.

AJ Francis Talks Big Game as Wrestling’s Top Heel While Proving He’s a Real-Life Hero

AJ Francis Talks Big Game as Wrestling’s Top Heel While Proving He’s a Real-Life Hero

Pro wrestling involves many interesting characters, but sometimes the real people behind those larger than life personas are vastly different from who they portray on television. It appears that AJ Francis is in the camp.

A lot of pro wrestlers make bold claims about themselves, as it comes with the territory. AJ Francis recently turned heads when he took credit for being the biggest heel in professional wrestling. That also stirred up quite a bit of conversation.

While speaking to TMZ, AJ Francis boldly stated, “I’m the best heel in TNA. I’m honestly the best heel in the business. If you don’t believe me, debate your barber. Don’t debate me. I know for a fact that there’s not a bigger heel in this business that gets a bigger reaction as a heel than me. Nobody even wants to be a heel anymore. With the year that I’ve had at TNA, between making Joe Hendry a star, feuding with The Hardys, stealing the show with PCO at Slammiversary. I mean, it’s time for me to get a World Title shot.”

AJ Francis dropped a video on X where he proclaimed that he is the “biggest babyface in real life,” despite being the biggest heel in pro wrestling. To make his point, he showed off the fact that he was driving in a vehicle that was packed with food that was collected for homeless children thanks to his 8th annual canned food drive.

“See, a lot of you guys in the pro wrestling business, you talk a big game. You say you’re listening, but I prove it. I was a millionaire before I took my first bump. Even while giving back, you can’t touch me. Where’s your initiative? Where’s your canned food drive? Where’s your coat drive? Where’s your back to school drive? Where’s your trunk-or-treat? Where’s your celebrity basketball game raising money for the homeless kids? Where’s yours? Y’all don’t do it, cause y’all ain’t got it.”

Even while doing good for charity, AJ Francis was able to generate heat for clout. That defines a modern day pro wrestling heal if we ever heard one. It’s easy to see that he’s doing big things, and he’s not afraid to let people know about it.

We will have to see what AJ Francis gets into next, but odds are he will continue to make everyone very much aware of what he’s doing. You can check out his video below to see the recent load he captured from his canned food drive as proof.

Paul Heyman Introduces CM Punk as OG Bloodline’s 5th WarGames Member During 11/22 WWE SmackDown

Paul Heyman Introduces CM Punk as OG Bloodline's 5th WarGames Member During 11/22 WWE SmackDown

The Bloodline is still stealing the show on SmackDown, and things are heating up in a big way as we round the corner into another Survivor Series: WarGames. Solo Sikoa and his new Bloodline opened up the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, but Roman Reigns wasn’t there. Then they set up a big main event segment, where Solo expected surrender.

To close out this week’s episode of SmackDown, they had a Terms of Surrender segment to hype WarGames. Roman Reigns and the O.G. Bloodline were seen during the show mulling over who they will get as their 5th partner.

Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline will team up with Bronson Reed for WarGames, but Roman Reigns’ 5th man was still a mystery. Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes were both suggested by members of the stable, but Roman Reigns didn’t seem to like those choices.

Everything has a very different feel to things since Roman Reigns failed to get in touch with Paul Heyman. He called the Wise Man during the closing moments of the November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, but it seemed that the WWE Hall of Famer changed his number on the OTC.

When the main event segment of SmackDown rolled around this week, Solo Sikoa was expecting a simple surrender, but that is not what he received. After Solo’s Bloodline took the ring, and we had a commercial break, the OCT and his crew came out to confront Sikoa’s army of heels before WarGames.

Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and the Usos got in the ring to stand face-to-face with the new Bloodline. They took a few seconds to allow the “OTC” chants in Utah to fill the arena before Solo said he’s not there to fight Roman, in fact, he never stopped loving all four of the OG Bloodline members.

Solo Sikoa said that “if the four of you join this Bloodline, we can run this company for decades.” He said that the OG Bloodline didn’t have a 5th man or a Wise Man, so they had no choice but to join his team or “the four of you will die where you stand.”

Roman Reigns took a second before we all heard Paul Heyman’s voice ring out, “Ladies and Gentlemen.” Then the crowd popped huge, and they chanted along as he introduced himself. The Wise Man is back, and he made it very clear that there’s no way to do WarGames in a 4 vs 5 format, because that math doesn’t add up. So, he introduced the 5th member as CM Punk’s music hit, and he made his way out to reveal himself as the final piece of the OG Bloodline’s team.

CM Punk took to the ring, and chaos erupted. They brawled in the ring, and in the end, the OG Bloodline stood tall to close out the night with CM Punk by their side. The show closed out with CM Punk and Roman Reigns standing face-to-face as fans chanted, “This is awesome.”

Shinsuke Nakamura Jumps LA Knight After US Title Defense During 11/22 WWE SmackDown

Shinsuke Nakamura Jumps LA Knight After US Title Defense During 11/22 WWE SmackDown

LA Knight has been on a roll since capturing the United States Title at SummerSlam 2024. Logan Paul hasn’t been seen on WWE television since losing in Cleveland Browns Stadium in front of his hometown fans, but in his absence, there has been no shortage of challengers looking to take Knight on.

During the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown in Salt Lake City, Utah, LA Knight battled Santos Escobar with the title on the line. The Legado Del Fantasma leader has placed his target on the former Eli Drake in recent memory, and Knight is not one to dodge a challenger.

This match went on directly after Chelsea Green won a triple threat match against Blair Davenport and Bianca Belair to advance in the WWE Women’s United States Title tournament. Fans were more than ready for the men to take center stage in a United States Championship contest.

The contest didn’t even get started before a promo for Shinsuke Nakamura started playing. He has his sights set on LA Knight’s US Title, and the King of Strong Style made that very clear. During the pre-taped vignette, they showed Nakamura’s surprising return to SmackDown during the November 15 episode as he took out Knight.

While that promo played in the dark, it caused a distraction. Santos Escobar took advantage of that and jumped Knight before the bell. The two battled in the ring, but the action was eventually taken to the floor as Santos Escobar nailed a splash over the top rope before the show went to commercial break.

When we came back from commercial, Santos Escobar had full control of the match. LA Knight took abuse in the corner with chops, but he soon returned fire. Then, Escobar pulled off a reversal and a rolling senton over the top rope from the apron for a two count.

LA Knight got the advantage once again as he nailed a shoulder tackle over the top rope. Then he nailed a few strikes and a clothesline, but it wasn’t enough to pull off the win just yet. Knight got the crowd hyped up just in time for Shinsuke Nakamura to show up on the entrance ramp to distract him.

Escobar nailed a hurricanrana off the top rope on Knight, followed by a frog splash, but he didn’t go into the pinfall attempt. Then LA Knight countered Escobar with a BFT for the clean win. After the match, Shinsuke Nakamura jumped in the ring and beat LA Knight down for his troubles.
