John Cena Addresses 'We Want Truth' Chants During 6/6 WWE SmackDown

The “We want Truth” movement isn’t slowing down.

On the June 6, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown in Bakersfield, California, fans once again hijacked the show with deafening chants demanding R-Truth—this time in the face of John Cena.

The chants broke out during a major segment where Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso confronted John Cena and Logan Paul ahead of this weekend’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The show went to commercial as Cody Rhodes interrupted Paul Heyman, but when it returned, fans inside Dignity Health Arena were already fired up, chanting and “yeeting” as Jey Uso made his entrance through the crowd.

After Cody asked, “Bakersfield, what do you want to talk about?”, the energy shifted as the crowd broke into “Let’s go Cena / Cena sucks” dueling chants. Cody called Cena desperate and compared him standing next to Logan Paul to “PS Hayes teaming with the Hardy Boyz.”

Then came the ambush. Logan Paul jumped the babyfaces, and Cena joined in. Cody and Jey were laid out with a Paulverizer and multiple frog splashes from Logan Paul.

While Cody and Jey were down, fans erupted again—“We want Truth.” That’s when Cena snapped.

“You can’t handle the truth!” he shouted into the mic.

But he didn’t stop there. Cena went off on the Bakersfield crowd:

“You chant for truth, but you’re all pathetic liars.”
“That’s why you’re losers. I’ll never be back in Bakersfield.”

As Cena stood in the ring with Logan Paul, he looked over the scene and made his message clear:

“Take a good look. No one is coming to save you. I’ve been telling you this for half of a year. Your dream of what WWE is will be ruined. This is your future. I take this home, he takes that to the top.”

The moment capped off another chaotic week of fan backlash, with NXT and RAW also experiencing interruptions from “We want Truth” chants. Despite WWE trying to move forward—with matches featuring Trick Williams and Tyra Mae Steele’s debut—fans aren’t letting up.

Should WWE finally respond to the chants, or will the backlash keep hijacking shows? And did Cena cross a line with his reaction? Drop your thoughts in the comments—we’re listening.

Giulia Makes Bold Statement With Heel Turn During 6/6 WWE SmackDown

The June 6 episode of WWE SmackDown took place at the Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield, California. Giulia was on hand, and although she’s been booked as a babyface in the past, she certainly showed a ton of heel colors this week.

This week on SmackDown, WWE Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega faced Piper Niven in a non-title match. At the end of the contest, the champion was standing tall, but her victory didn’t last long.

Giulia entered the ring as Zelina Vega lifted her title up high. The smile on her face was quickly wiped away as the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion attacked her.

Giulia left Zelina Vega laying on the mat selling the attack. Then Giulia lifted the WWE Women’s United States Title above her head. This was a big statement, for sure.

It remains to be seen what happens at Money in the Bank. Giulia is in the six-woman ladder match to see who will pull down the briefcase this year. It seems that she has already made a big statement by setting her sights on Zelina Vega’s championship.

AEW brought a giant broadcast for Fyter Fest on the June 4 Dynamite. There were many reasons to catch the show, including Kenny Omega defending his International Title in a hard-fought match.

During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega defended the AEW International Championship in a four-way match against Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, and Mascara Dorada.

This match went down at 9:45 PM, and fans were more than ready to see it go down. Naturally, this was a hard-hitting match with those four in the contest.

Kenny Omega was able to rally and gain a big advantage as the show went to commercial break. When we came back, the three men were battling, just as hard as ever, trying to pull away with the win.

We almost had a new Internation Champion as Claudio nearly won the match, and Omega wasn’t even a part of it. Brody King stopped Kenny Omega from fighting with Claudio up top, and then Omega lifted King up for Claudio to nail a Doomsday Device uppercut, but he only got a two count.

Brody King was busted open during the match, and he nearly won it, but Claudio kicked out after a discus clothesline. Dorada took out both Claudio and King with one dive after another. Then he got in the ring with Omega, who nailed the One Winged Angel to retain the title.

After the match, AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada’s music hit, and he came out. As AEW Collision’s Fyter Fest started, Okada and Omega stood toe-to-toe. The two started brawling, and then Okada got out of a One Winged Angel. There were certainly shots fired and it looks like those two champions could throw down in AEW soon enough.

We will have to see what’s next for Kenny Omega in AEW. After all, he is still getting back into the full swing of things after his devastating diverticulitis hiatus.

AJ Francis & Casey Navarro Help Trick Williams Retain TNA World Title During 6/3 WWE NXT

The June 3 episode of WWE NXT was quite a show, and it also included some big action from another company.

Trick Williams shocked the pro wrestling world when he beat Joe Hendry to become TNA World Champion. This week on NXT, he put that championship on the line against a very worthy competitor.

Mike Santana stepped up to Trick Williams on NXT last week, and he demanded a shot at the TNA World Title. Santana has been a part of the TNA Wrestling roster for quite a while, after all.

This match was the main event of the night, and fans were more than ready for it. The contest also received a big match feel thanks to Mike Rome’s ring introductions.

Elijah also watched this match from ringside, because he is next in line to get a shot at the TNA World Title. This match was fierce as both men fought to gain the upperhand.

Trick Williams nailed a powerful spin kick when we came back from commercial break, but Santana kicked out of the pinfall attempt. Fans were on fire in the NXT Arena as this match wrapped up. Needless to say, Trick Williams’ heel turn was in full-swing.

Santana started to rally on Trick Williams, but he was unable to secure the win. In the end, Trick Williams bailed out of the ring and he had words with Elijah. The former Elias jumped the barricade as AJ Francis and Casey Navarro jumped Santana and bounced him off the announce table.

Then Trick Williams got back in the ring to nail a Trick Shot to retain the TNA World Title. This was thanks to interference, but he’ll take it.

We will have to see what is next for the partnership between WWE and TNA. After all, it was already given by Cora Jade as the reason why she may be hesitant about making a jump to that company.

LFG Winner Tyra Mae Steele Dominates in WWE NXT In-Ring Debut

WWE’s NXT brand brought a pretty exciting show this week for their June 3 episode. That also included the in-ring debut of a brand-new face to the brand.

Tyra Mae Steele won the first season of WWE LFG. This week on NXT, she was able to show off in the ring to get her career going.

Steele and Ariana Grace had a backstage confrontation this week before NXT. Druing that little meet-up, Grace cast doubt on the authenticity of Tyra Mae Steele’s gold medals. Steele captured gold in the women’s 68 kg freestyle wrestling division at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics that were held in 2021, becoming the first Black woman to win an Olympic wrestling gold medal for the United States.

This match had fans going from the start as Grace had the upperhand. Ariana Grace also had fans behind her, but Tyra Mae Steele was a very tough opponent. Steele picked up Grace and heaved her across the ring before stalking her opponent and nailing a pinning German suplex for the win.

Jasper Troy also won the first season of LFG. He made his in-ring debut during last week’s episode. Obviously, they will have a lot of eyes on them from this point on.

What’s your take on Tyra Mae Steele’s debut for NXT? Do you think she has what it takes to do big things on the brand? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

Myles Borne Exits NQCC After Winning Rounds Match During 6/3 WWE NXT

Myles Borne Exits NQCC After Winning Rounds Match During 6/3 WWE NXT

WWE brought a big episode of NXT for their June 3 episode. Myles Borne and Charlie Dempsey threw down, and if Borne won then he was out of the No Quarter Catch Crew.

The rounds match saw six two minute rounds. They did get a rest period between each round, and these two had a lot to figure out in the ring. Both Dempsey and Borne made their entrances together as they shared music.

These two wrestled through the entire first round without anyone getting a pinfall, but then Myles Borne got the pinfall right before the clock struck zero. Then the two sides rested as the show went to commercial break.

Round number two saw the two battle all the way down to the final seconds. In the end, neither of them were able to secure a decision, but Dempsey hit a cheap shot after the bell.

Round number three opened up with Myles selling his injury. It didn’t take very long for Charlie to get a bridging fisherman’s suplex for the pinfall. That tied up the match 1-1.

Round number four opened up with Charlie zeroing in on Myles’s injury. He beat Borne around the ring as the recent #1 contender for the NXT Title, sold for William Regal’s son. Then Borne was able to fight back and rally. Then he was able to get the pinfall and win the match. That win got him out of the No Quarter Catch Club as well.

Myles Borne didn’t win the NXT Title at Battleground, but he didn’t let that get him down. In the end, he carried on, and he had quite a battle ahead of him with Charlie Dempsey as he seemingly outgrew the NQCC.

We will have to see what is next for Myles Borne. He has certainly gained a lot of respect, and odds are he will continue that trend as he keeps going.

This match was the main event of the night, but it stole the focus throughout a lot of the show. CM Punk even opened up the broadcast with a promo, where Sami Zayn came out to give him encouragement to qualify.

This match started off hot, as fans cheered for the action. At some point early on, CM Punk tried to unmask El Grande Americano, but the masked Chad Gable got free. Just before the commercial break, El Grande Americano got the upperhand in the match.

When we came back, CM Punk was going toe-to-toe with El Grande Americano, as he gained the upperhand on AJ Styles as well. Punk had both competitors down, but he was unable to get the pinfall.

There were loud “We Want Truth” chants from the fans in Tulsa as this match carried on. They also chanted “This Is Awesome” as CM Punk and AJ Styles traded strikes in the middle of the ring. Then they chanted, “CM Punk” as he took El Grande Americano to the top rope, but AJ Styles broke that attempt from Punk up.

Jey Uso couldn’t help himself, so he ran down to fight the two big men off. AJ Styles eventually took everyone out with a dive to the outside. Fans chanted, “Holy Sh*t” after that.

Suddenly, El Grande Americano nailed a headbutt with his loaded mask as Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm. Then he got the win to take the final spot in the 2025 Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. After the match, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and Seth Rollins destroyed the babyfaces.

The June 2, 2025, episode of WWE RAW took place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The show served as the final episode before Money in the Bank.

Lyra Valkyria had a live segment this week on RAW to address Becky Lynch. The two will throw down at Money in the Bank with the Women’s IC Title on the line.

The WWE Women’s IC Champion had a chance to cut a promo during RAW’s second hour this week. Lyra Valkyria had a lot to say, and she needed to get fans invested in her upcoming title defense. She immediately addressed Becky Lynch’s promo that she cut from the back, where she invited The Man to join her.

Lyra didn’t let Becky talk, because she already spoke her piece. Then Lyra said that The Man’s downfall needs to be studied. She said that nobody has hurt her like Lynch did, but all she did was “unlock the side of me that is capable in beating you.” Lyra intends to get a third win against Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank, and she was very confident.

Becky Lynch said that the only thing that is poisoned is Lyra’s perspective. The Man said that all she wanted to do was make Lyra better, and now all Lyra will have to do is raise her hand at Money in the Bank.

Lyra wanted to fight Becky in Tulsa, but The Man walked away. Then Lyra chased Lynch up the ramp and they brawled a bit before WWE officials could break them up.
