The Walking Weapon said that he’s prided himself for being unbreakable for twenty years. However, he was broken at TNA Genesis when he fell to Mike Santana. Then he called Santana the new standard in TNA.

Andre Chase Returns with New Gimmick After Stable Breakup During 1/21 WWE NXT

WWE NXT had a lot to cover for their January 21 episode on The CW. That two-hour show included a few key matches, and one unexpected return also went down.

Andre Chase hasn’t been seen since his stable was broken up without his consent. Ridge Holland laid waste to his NXT Title hopes and broke up Chase U in one fail swoop. After taking several weeks off, Mr. Chase was back.

During the second hour of NXT this week, Andre Chase was seen backstage. He looked depressed and disheveled. He also didn’t seem like himself at all.

As an old Chase U clip played on a television behind him, Andre Chase came back. He then told Hank and Tank to break up now because “all tag teams just end in heartbreak.” That was quite a Debbie Downer of a line for the former leader of Chase U.

Andre Chase didn’t say much more, as he simply walked off. Only time will tell what is next for him, but he is certainly not done with NXT at this point. There is plenty of story left for Andre Chase, and it will be interesting to see if Chase U gets back together while they’re at it.

Bayley & Giulia Link Up to Fight Common Enemy During 1/21 WWE NXT

Bayley & Giulia Link Up to Fight Common Enemy During 1/21 WWE NXT

WWE presented an eventful show for their NXT brand on January 21. Bayley is a main roster Superstar, but she returned to address some unfinished business in NXT. Naturally, Roxanne Perez was around for that.

Bayley made her way out to the ring as the second segment of NXT this week. She received some big “Welcome Home” chants from fans in the NXT Arena, and she started off by bringing up her history with Roxanne Perez.

Bayley first confronted Roxanne Perez during the January 14 episode of WWE NXT. The former Hugger was on her way to a title shot against Tiffany Stratton, but she came up short. That being said, Bayley’s feud with Roxanne Perez still has a lot of life left in it.

During her promo on NXT this week, the former WWE Women’s Champion brought up how people like Natalya told her to help out younger talent. She brought up how Roxanne Perez slapped her in the face. Bayley hasn’t ignored the times that Roxanne Perez jumped over to her world in recent memory to get under her skin.

Then Giulia made her way out to the ring, and the Beautiful Madness couldn’t wait to speak with her. Bayley is one of the reasons why Giulia wanted to go to NXT, and she said that Roxanne Perez may not respect her, but Giulia does. She also wants to put as much respect on the NXT Women’s Title as Bayley did.

Finally, Roxanne Perez came out to call their conversation boring. She also said that Bayley shouldn’t be showing her face after back-to-back losses. As usual, Cora Jade was by Perez’s side. The four got in the ring and Cora Jade talked some smack next. The fans booed the heels heavily.

In the end, Bayley and Giulia jumped Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. Fans went wild as they cheered and booed them on. Then the heels were chased off as the babyfaces stood tall in the ring.

Roxanne Perez was on hand during the January 20 episode of WWE RAW on Netflix. She had a little scuffle with Bayley before security carried her out. It seems that Bayley and Perez are far from finished with each other.

WWE featured a notable event for their NXT brand on January 21. The show included an NXT North American Title match. Fans had plenty of reasons to watch the action unfold.

Tony D’Angelo put his NXT North American Title on the line this week. Although The Don of NXT is a strong champion, he had his hands full with Ridge Holland.

After the disbanding of Chase U, thanks to Ridge Holland, the former rugby standout trolled the former faction, and he’s been trying to find his next victim. It appears that he didn’t waste any time in finding his next mission in NXT, as he went for the NXT North American Title.

The North American Championship match kicked off WWE NXT this week. The match spanned a commercial break, as Ridge Holland maintained control throughout much of the match. After a big distraction on the outside, Izzi Dame jumped in the ring and nailed a kick to Ridge Holland to help Tony D’Angelo pick up the win.

This was a big surprise, and it left the announcers shocked. They were immediately questioning whether or not Izzi Dame is now a part of D’Angelo’s Family. She hasn’t been linked to the faction in the past, so we will have to see what is next for that storyline.

It didn’t take long to address CM Punk’s purpose on the show this week. CM Punk said that he is the maker of history. He just headlined the first RAW on Netflix. It’s all about what have you done for me lately, and he keeps proving himself. He said the stakes are high, and the pressure is on. That is when CM Punk plans to come alive, as he proclaimed that nobody can beat him while he’s at his best.

CM Punk said that he “can’t see” John Cena throwing him over the top rope at the Royal Rumble. He also shaded Roman Reigns by saying that the OTC needed him at WarGames. He also stated that he would throw Hulk Hogan’s “dusty ass” over the top rope if he was in the match, and that draw a pop from fans.

Punk plans to celebrate at the end of the 2025 Royal Rumble match, as he points at the WrestleMania 41 sign. That being said, Punk is very motivated and more than ready for Lucas Oil Stadium on February 1.

The January 20 episode of WWE RAW went down in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Bayley was on hand to make a couple big announcements, and then she had quite a match. Little did she know that there would be an extra obstacle for her in the form of Roxanne Perez.

Nia Jax confronted Bayley backstage during RAW this week. That led to a match later on. However, Bayley had quite an enemy at ringside.

JBL Has Run-In With New Day During 1/20 WWE RAW On Netflix

JBL Has Run-In With New Day During 1/20 WWE RAW On Netflix

WWE brought their January 20 episode of RAW to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. There was a lot on the table for their third episode on Netflix, and JBL was on hand.

JBL showed up backstage during the first half hour of WWE RAW this week. He met with the New Day, and it was established that he will guest commentate during their match tonight. This was followed by JBL shading them a bit for cutting ties with Big E like they did.

The WWE Hall of Famer received a nice reception from fans in his home state, and scrambled to get him his own headset. Michael Cole asked him where his limo with the horns is, and he said that it was in the Brisco Brothers’ Shop.

JBL had a little interaction with The New Day during their entrance. They got in their face and wanted money back that they gave him earlier in the show. Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio had their match next, and JBL was just as witty as ever on the table alongside Wade Barrett and Michael Cole.

Kofi and Mysterio battled through a commercial break as JBL cut it up with Michael Cole and Wade Barrett. JBL said that Rey Mysterio is like a cockroach, because you can’t squish him. Finally, Mysterio was able to get a quick roll-up pinfall win on Kingston, but Xavier Woods jumped him. That is when the LWO ran down for the save.

JBL was just on TNA Genesis last night, where he helped Joe Hendry out during his TNA World Title win. In fact, JBL has frequented a few different locations in the pro wrestling world recently, including a GCW appearance that meant hell froze over.

We will have to see when JBL appears next, but he’s a very busy man right now. One has to wonder if Corey Graves would have gotten the call to sit in on the red brand this week if it weren’t for his post where he threw shade at his move back to NXT.

What’s your take on JBL and Michael Cole’s chemistry? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
