New Orleans Revealed As WrestleMania 42 Location During 2/21 WWE SmackDown

The February 21, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. This was a big episode with a ton of big momentum toward the biggest show of the year, but next year’s show also received a focus.

WrestleMania 41 will go down in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20 this year. During this week’s WWE SmackDown, it was announced that WrestleMania 42 will take place at

The Rock started out by saying, “let’s get this sh*t on the road,” and then he said that he’s finally come back to New Orleans. He also said that “finally, WrestleMania is coming back to New Orleans.”

WrestleMania 42 will take place in the SuperDome, and that brought a huge reaction from the crowd. The dates will be April 11 and 12 of 2026. This also brought a “holy sh*t” chant from the crowd.

The February 21, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. They have a few things to address before the Elimination Chamber on March 1, and Alexa Bliss wanted to play.

Alexa Bliss returned at the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble was a big deal, as it marked her return to action after being absent for the entirety of 2024. Now that she is back, many are wondering what she will do on the SmackDown brand.

This week’s SmackDown included a video segment with Alexa Bliss. She spoke about her time away from WWE, and how the faces may be different, but she’s the same. She claimed to know the chamber match, since she won it. She also promised a “hell that they haven’t experienced before” for the other women in the match.

Alexa Bliss concluded her segment by saying that this is her division, and she is in charge. She doesn’t want anyone to forget about that, either. The promo was full of little glitchy cuts, but it really had an old film reel style. We will have to see if the Wyatt Sicks have anything to do with how she does in the Elimination Chamber match.

The Wyatt Sicks have seemingly been paying attention to Alexa Bliss. During the February 14 episode of SmackDown, they interrupted her backstage promo briefly with one of their cryptic glitches.

WWE’s NXT brand and TNA Wrestling have quite a talent exchange going on. You never know who will show up next, and champions are not off the list at all.

During the February 20 episode of TNA iMPACT Wrestling, Oba Femi made his way out to the ring in order to stop Moose. This was a huge surprise that had fans chanting along with Femi.

Oba Femi did not get physical in this segment, but his presence alone was enough to make a big statement. The Ruler sent quite a message as Moose and The System fled the ring as Oba Femi stood next to the Hardy Boys and JDC in the ring.

A match was soon booked for Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers and Moose against the Hardy Boys and Oba Femi. That was quite a match for next week, but Moose wasn’t thrilled about it.

X-Division Champion Moose showed up on NXT this week, and Oba Femi didn’t let that go unanswered. They said that a one-on-one collision between these to is going to happen. Only time will tell when it finally goes down.

Joe Hendry has been riding high since winning the TNA World Title at TNA Genesis 2025. Now, he is having a great time as champion, and he also has a few songs up his belt.

During the live February 20 episode of TNA iMPACT Wrestling, Joe Hendry had a concert. He’s known for putting on these special segments, and he even held one in NXT last year.

Joe Hendry started off his concert by singing about his time in the Royal Rumble. He sang that it is hard to be humble when you’re in the Royal Rumble, and he would have won if it wasn’t for Roman Reigns.

Hendry has made it very clear that he wants a piece of John Cena. He sang about how he will defend his title every week, but then suddenly, The Colons showed up to cut Hendry off. This was quite a way to start off iMPACT Wrestling this week. Only time will tell if Hendry ever gets that match against Cena.

Then Elijah, who used to be known as Elias in WWE, interrupted. He had his guitar in tow, and he sang a song in promo form. He was there to make his presence made. Then he asked fans if they wanted to “walk with Elijah.”

Fans sang “walk with Elijah” to the tune of the White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army, and Elijah played along with his guitar. That was a pretty big debut for TNA Wrestling. Now, we will have to see what is next. Santino came out next to book a match with Hendry and Elijah versus the Colons.

TNA Wrestling has a lot in store for the future, and they certainly surprised a lot of people with the start of iMPACT Wrestling this week.

The February 19 episode of AEW Dynamite came from the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix. Fans were treated to a few important segments, including hearing from Toni Storm once again.

Since Toni Storm returned to her Timeless gimmick, she had a rocket strapped to her once again. She was given an AEW Women’s Title match at Collision’s Grand Slam Australia event, and that was all she needed.

Toni Storm won the AEW Women’s World Title from Mariah May in Australia. She was on hand this week for Dynamite to start her fourth reign as champion. The new champion took to the ring to kick off the show’s second hour. She was naturally, very proud of herself.

Storm spoke about how in front of friends, family, and former lovers, she beat Mariah May in Australia. She called May a “sick bitch” and then gave her flowers for giving her the fight of her life, but she beat her with a small package. Then Storm said that she beat May with the biggest package that there has ever been.

Then Toni Storm brought her attention to the women’s division. She said if someone wants to go face to face with her, then she’s not hard to find. Storm then said that “god is a woman, and she is timeless.”

The spotlight on Toni Storm started to die down as she struck a pose. This was the end of her segment this week, but things are only getting started for her on this run as champion.

AEW Dynamite rolled into the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona for their February 19 episode. MJF was on hand, and he had a lot to say as usual.

MJF kicked off the show this week as the Salt of the Earth made his way out to the ring. He was quickly followed by Adam Page, as the Hangman came out to confront him.

They had extra security around the ring as fans chanted, “Cowboy Sh*t” in support of Page. Then MJF called the fans poor and he got started in his promo. MJF brought up how Page screwed him out of winning the first-ever Casino Royale match when AEW first started, which forced MJF to scratch and claw his way up the roster.

Adam Page said he knows who MJF is and what he’s done. MJF didn’t let him get very far before he told him to shut up. He also didn’t want to hear from the crowd.

MJF chastised the fans for deciding that Hangman Page should be a main character in AEW. After all, Page has done a lot of crazy and violent things in the company, as fans cheered each bad thing he’s done.

Then MJF mentioned how Adam Page ended Christopher Daniels’ career. That caused Page to explode about how much Daniels gave to the pro wrestling business. That brought a smattering of a “Fallen Angel” chant from the crowd. Page then asked MJF what people would say about him if his career ended tonight.

Adam Page said that he’s worked for everything he’s gotten in the pro wrestling business. He’s lied about 100 times over the past five years, but he never lied to the fans. On the other hand, MJF would tell everyone that he was better than him. Page then said for once he hopes if MJF is wondering if that is really true, because deep down he knows it isn’t.

MJF said the history books don’t give a damn how you get the job done, whether he won things fair and square. However, Adam Page was already the golden boy in 2019 when AEW started, but MJF did not. All he needed was a scarf and a microphone. MJF challenged Hangman to name one thing he’s better at him than, to which Page replied, “I am real.”

MJF then said that Page can be the main character all he wants, because he has no problem being the bad guy. The two had a face-to-face from there, and then security got on the apron as things got heated. Instead of getting physical, MJF turned to leave, but then he turned to spit on Page. Then Hangman chased MJF out of the ring as Maxwell ran off.

This segment ended with security holding Hangman Page back as MJF taunted him from the entrance. Page took out his security, and then Christopher Daniels pulled him away. Daniels told Page not to listen to MJF, and that was the end of the segment.

We will have to see what happens next, but things between Hangman Page and MJF are not okay in the slightest.

NXT Champion Oba Femi made his way out to the ring to start the broadcast this week. He wasn’t happy about getting jumped by the new stable at the end of Vengeance Day. That was who he called out, but someone else came out instead.

Moose’s music hit, and he made his way out to the ring. This was a big moment as the TNA X-Division Champion came out to the ring.

Moose made his time on the microphone very brief. He simply said that he’s there to be the man who Oba Femi can’t rule. Then he said a match between the two needs to happen.

Oba Femi replied to say that a match between them will happen. We still don’t know when they will collide, but it appears that WWE has set the stage for this massive match between champions.
